''We've sorted out a few things. '' I replied, smiling shyly.
"Look at the silly smile, tell us everything! "Dora was full of excitement.
'' I admitted that I was in love with him. '' My friends' excited expressions instantly wilted.
'' That's it? We were expecting something more exciting. The tension between you was palpable; it looked like love was stamped on your foreheads. '' Dina said dejectedly.
''Oh, stop it.'' They laughed.
''We're very happy for you, really. But it took you so long to admit the obvious-it was annoying. "I sighed.

'' Okay. But for me, admitting my feelings for him was difficult. He's a criminal, and I was dragged into it by a lie. He forced me to do things I hated with his possessive and authoritarian ways. But when he showed himself to be vulnerable and apologized for his mistakes, when I saw his gentle side, something changed in me. The way he touched me, kissed me, and moved me. I think maybe I had always liked him, but I denied those feelings, trying not to allow myself to feel anything for him.
''And now you're together, very close. '' Hina smiled at me. ''You two are quite a pair-a dangerous bandit with an innocent girl. It's hilarious.
I ended up laughing too.
'' Tell me about it. '' I sighed, and Trix handed me a tray. '' Thank you.
I started eating the mixture.
''How about we celebrate the start of this new healthy relationship today? ''Tina suggested.
''Healthy relationship? ''I asked, laughing.
"Yes, a new beginning for you. "I rolled my eyes.
I was essentially living a Stockholm relationship, where I found myself involuntarily captivated by the same man who had once made me fear for my own safety. Falling in love with my captor and abuser was like a cruel reality check. Jeez, how did I get to this point?
'' You could ask the love of your life to bring some beers to our party. '' I glared at Dina.
''Why don't you ask her yourselves? ''She pouted, and then her eyes widened, as did the others.
''Ask for what? ''I was startled by him appearing behind me.
"Don't do that again. "I put my hand on my chest.
He grabbed my waist and pulled me up, sitting me on his lap.
''You could just ask me to get up. '' I settled into his lap.
No, it's more fun to take you by surprise. '' He kissed my neck. '' So, what do you want to ask?
I looked at my friends, who instantly looked away.
Cowards.
'' They want to celebrate our "healthy" relationship. '' He stopped kissing my neck and glanced at my friends.
''Healthy? ''I couldn't help laughing.
'' Yes, healthy. '' I repeated Tina's words.
''And what should I get? ''He kissed my neck again, sending shivers down my spine.
"Beers. "His laugh reverberated on my skin.
'' That's easy.
'' W-We can go to the courtyard to celebrate. '' Trix said, visibly nervous.
He kissed my shoulder and walked away.
''Sure, I'll get the beers. ''He slid me aside and stood up. ''You can go there if you want.
'' Right. '' We agreed, watching him walk away.
''Wow, that was hot. '' Dina commented, shaking herself. ''The two of you together are explosive.
I snorted.
"Let's just go to the courtyard. "I stood up, and they followed me.
I widened my eyes when I saw Trix and Druk intertwining their hands.
'' What? Since when are you two together? "I asked incredulously.
Trix laughed.
''Only a week. You were busy being spoiled by your love. '' She winked at me before walking away with Druk.
I looked at the others, who started laughing at my surprised expression.
''You're a bit slow, love. ''Hina threw her arms around my shoulders. ''Come on, you silly lady.
Honestly, I'm shocked.
