♥ Chapter 13 ♥
Elara Sinclair.
I'm woken up by the sound of a message on my cell phone, and I let out a small grumble at being interrupted. Lazily, I pick up my cell phone and grimace when I see that it's from Struk.
Message:
Struk: Good evening, Elara. >20:20<
Struk: How are you? >20:21<
Struk: I'd like to know when we're going to start practicing my English. >20:22<
My God, what an annoying boy! I'm about to tell my father everything.
Me: Good evening, Struk. When I set the day, you'll be the first to know. >20:26<
I throw my cell phone on the bed and realize that Orion is no longer in my room. I stretch, get out of bed, and walk towards the bathroom to wash my face. Since I've already showered before bed, I'll take another shower when I go to sleep again.

I go downstairs in my pajamas, since I'm not going out today. I find Orion watching TV with our mother.
'' Good evening. '' I greet them as I approach.
''Good night, dear. Did you get a good night's rest? "She asks gently.
''Yes, I did, Mom.'' I sit down next to her.
I look at Orion, who hasn't taken his eyes off the television.
''I didn't even feel you leave my side,'' I say, and he snorts.
''Of course, I was in a heavy sleep. I even thought about putting a snake on your chest. But I didn't want to be punished for it." He says this, and I look at him in surprise.
'' You wouldn't dare. '' I say, and he looks at me with mockery.
''You know I would.
'' Enough about you two. Anyway, your birthday is coming up, Orion. Where would you like to spend it? "Our mother asks.
''I thought I'd stay at home.'' He replies, and our mother rolls her eyes.
''Darling, you're grounded. But that doesn't mean you'll be spending your birthday here.
"Well, then, can we visit the zoo?" He suggests, and I look at him strangely.
"You're not planning to steal a snake again, are you?" I ask suspiciously.
"Of course not." Our mother and I stare at him without believing his story. "Seriously, I just want to see the animals. We can also go to the amusement park.
'' All right, I'll talk to your father.
'' Right.
I let out a sigh. I really wanted to see Axel now.
''Mom, on Saturday I'm going to bring that cursed boy,'' I say, and she gives me a nasty look.
''Don't talk about him like that, Elara.
'' But, Mom. He's too annoying, I can't stand him being around all the time anymore,'' I said, really annoyed. ''I've even thought about killing him.
'' Elara. '' She scolds me.
''It's serious, mom. I'm sure you'd go crazy too if you had a boy chasing you all the time.
''Just ignore him, don't think about killing him.
'' Actually, that would be Axel's job. '' Orion says, laughing. ''Imagine him knowing that Elara is being flirted with. There'd be a massacre. '' I glare at Orion.
'' That's not going to happen. Axel...
He has no feelings for me.
'' For God's sake, I can't take it from you two. Honey, if you think Axel doesn't like you, why don't you try kissing him?" I looked at her like she was crazy.
What!!!?
'' That's simple, if he kisses you back, it's because he likes you too. That's quite simple.
'' I... '' Orion started to laugh.
''She's weak, Mom.'' I glared at him.
''I'll eat.'' I quickly go into the kitchen.
Does he not like me? Or does he? Oh, I'm going to go mad.
I start making my dinner.

I go to the library with my dinner and put it on the table. I go to the bookshelves and pick up a science book. Furthermore, I like reading about it and seeing some silly explanations. I sit down on the sofa and start reading.
The door is opened by Orion, who has a huge cricket in his hand.
'' Man, I'm eating. You'd better hold that bug tight." He rolls his eyes.
''Your dear friend is going to meet my friend. '' He kisses the cricket's head, and I grimace.
''Fuck, I'm eating.
'' He's clean, cleaner than you. '' I snort at that.
"What have you come here for?" I ask without patience.
''Your dear Axel has just arrived and is in Dad's office.
I bite my lip nervously, leave my plate on the table, and get up.
'' I'll go to my room.
'' You're going to brush your teeth so you can kiss, aren't you naughty? ''I ignore him and leave the library quickly.
I go up to my room at speed, run to the bathroom, grab my toothbrush, put on the toothpaste, and start brushing my teeth. I do it twice.
Wait a minute, what am I doing? It's not like I'm going to kiss him. Oh, shit.
I leave the bathroom and hear a knock on the door.
'' Who is it? '' If it's Orion bothering me again, I'm going to punch him.
''It's me, Elara.
My heart skipped a beat.
'' Come in, Axel. '' He opens the door and comes in.
He's dressed so nicely in all black.
''I wanted to see how you were before I went,'' he says, looking a little out of sorts.
I feel a sense of nervousness come over me.
"I-I... I'm fine. '' He looks at me strangely.
''Are you all right, Elara?'' He asks worriedly, moving closer.
''I am... How was your day?" I try to change the subject.
