♥ Chapter 31♥
Axel Knight
"What happened? Why do you look like that?" she asked, concerned.
"That bastard was completely rude to me. I had to restrain myself from killing him right then and there."
"Love, I understand you're upset. Anyone would be irritated by that attitude. But this is a totally different city, and I don't want you getting arrested for killing someone here. Let's just enjoy our vacation." She kissed my lips in a quick peck.
"I know, my love. Don't worry, I'll control myself so our trip won't be ruined."
She smiled and kissed my chin.
"Let's try another taxi." We approached another parked car. "Excuse me, are you available?"
"Yes, of course. Hop in." The driver got out of the car. "Let me help with the luggage."
We agreed and handed him our bags. We got in the car, and soon he joined us.
"Where are you headed?" he asked politely.
We gave him the hotel address.
"Love, I'm so excited to go to the beach. You're going to take me, right?" Elara asked, full of excitement.
"Of course, dear. Don't worry, we have five days here, and you'll get to see everything."
She nodded and started admiring the scenery. I felt the driver's gaze on us and decided to question him.
"Is there a problem, sir?" I asked, not liking his stare.
"No, sir. It's just... is your companion a foreigner? Her accent is different." He asked, referring to Elara.
"Actually, we're both foreigners here," I replied, not giving too many details.
He nodded and focused back on the road. Elara looked at me, and I just smiled at her.
"Don't worry, my love." Elara smiled and intertwined our fingers.
It didn't take long before the driver parked the car in front of our hotel.
"We're here, sir," he informed.
The three of us got out of the car, and he went to the trunk to get our bags.
"How much?" I asked, reaching for my wallet.
"Twenty dollars, sir," he replied, and I just sighed.
Taxi drivers often hike up the prices when dealing with foreigners. The usual fare would be around ten to twelve dollars, but twenty was ridiculous.
"Here you go." Since I didn't have smaller bills, I handed him fifty dollars. "Keep the change."
"My God, thank you so much, sir."
"Let's go, love."
We entered the hotel.
"And now, love?" Elara asked, looking around.
"Wait there, I'll go to the reception." I pointed to a sofa.
"Okay."
She went to the sofa while I walked towards the receptionist.
"Excuse me," I called for her attention.
"Yes?" She leaned forward, looking me up and down.
I took a deep breath.
"My name is Axel Knight. I have a reservation for five days."
"Let me check."
She started typing and soon confirmed.
"Yes, here it is." She grabbed the room key. "Your room number is 500, on the sixth floor."
"Thank you."
I took the keys from her hand and went back to Elara.
"All set?" I asked.
"Yes, love. Let's go."
We grabbed our bags once more and headed to the elevator. I was pleased that, as soon as we arrived, the elevator doors opened, and a couple stepped out.
"Good afternoon," they greeted us politely.
"Good afternoon," we replied and stepped in. The doors closed.
I pressed the button for the sixth floor and sighed.
"It's strange being a foreigner. I feel like people might curse at me or find me odd." She laughed.
"I'll always be with you, love. If anyone dares to curse at you, I'll just kill them." She rolled her eyes. "The couple that greeted us was nice."
"Yes, that made me happy."
The elevator doors opened.
"Let's go, my love. I'm so tired."
We exited the elevator and headed to our room. As soon as we arrived, I unlocked the door, and we entered.
"Wow, what a beautiful room," she observed everything around her.
"Yes, now come here."
She approached me, looking a bit confused. I held her neck and kissed her with desire. She moaned into the kiss, and I sucked her lips forcefully. We separated due to the lack of air.
"What was that?" she asked, breathless.
"We haven't had a proper kiss, so I wanted to kiss you the way I like." She laughed.
"You're silly, love. You can kiss me whenever you want." She kissed my chin.
She started walking around the room, looking at everything. I really am lucky to have her as my girlfriend.
"Love, there's a bathtub here." I went to the bathroom, and it was indeed large.
"Yes, we can take a bath in it later."
"Yes, now I just want a quick shower and some sleep."
"Yes, tonight I can take you out to dinner."
"Yes."
She went back to the room and grabbed her suitcase, placing it on the bed, and took out only a nightgown.
"It's a bit hot, love," she commented, seeing my expression.
She went to the bathroom. I went to my suitcase, placed it on the bed, and took out only underwear. I didn't want to unpack everything just to repack later. I grabbed our toothbrushes and some hygiene items.
I entered the bathroom without a care.
"I'm showering," she said, and I just chuckled lightly.
"Love, remember I've already gone down on you nicely." I said, and I noticed her cheeks blush a bit through the glass.
"Shut up," she said, and I left the bathroom laughing.
These are going to be the best five days.
