Chapter One Hundred and Fifty-One
Their table was semi-private but Sylvie could see the layout of the restaurant. She had definitely noticed how other people noticed Kelley. They seemed to want him to look at them or to acknowledge them in some manner but he never did. His aura was one of importance and he seemed revered and untouchable.
Kelley spoke in fluent Italian to the waiter and moments later the chef himself appeared. Kelley stood up and both men hugged and slapped each other on the back as men often did. “Guillermo, this is Sylvie,” Kelley introduced them. Genuine affection laced their eyes as they interacted.
Guillermo kissed the back of her hand and patted Kelley on the shoulder again. They switched back to Italian and Sylvie could only stare at Kelley’s face. He seemed so at ease and people tended to drift toward him, even she had. It was a huge turn-on to see him so confident, even more so than when they were students.
Guillermo nodded his head enough times that Sylvie thought he’d get a sprain. After ten minutes of intense discussion, he left their table and Kelley turned his attention back on her. “I apologize for that,” Kelley said.
“No, it’s fine,” Sylvie said, suitably impressed with the evening so far.
“Not really. It’s rude to speak in another language when someone doesn’t understand it.”
Sylvie smiled. The check marks just kept coming. Handsome, check. Well mannered, check. Popular, check. Funny, check. The whole package, double check. Kelley smiled and her heart fluttered at the sight and now she had to add considerate to that list as well.
“Guillermo insisted that he make the chef’s special for us, but if you’d rather order from the menu, you can,” Kelley said.
“I don’t mind, really.” She couldn't read Italian and she was thankful that she was spared the humiliation of having to ask him to translate for her.
The waiter brought over a bottle of wine and when he started to speak in Italian, Kelley stopped him and insisted on English, for her benefit. He described the vintage and poured a little for both of them to taste before half filling their glasses and leaving.
They made small talk, what they’d been up to since college and where they saw their futures going. They joked and laughed quietly a few times and in that moment Kelley was glad that he had taken off his wedding ring the day Milana had left. He'd never really dated before, each of his relationships had been structured and planned, except Juliana and they hadn't dated, he'd been following her around the one day and the next she was his girlfriend.
The waiter appeared with a platter and placed it in the middle of the table. It held antipasto, artichoke bruschetta, calamari fritti and arancini balls. Sylvie picked up a bruschetta and took a small bite. Her eyes widened and two bites later, it was gone.
“This is really good,” she said and took another one.
“Everything here’s good,” Kelley said and took another sip of his wine.
“I take it you come here a lot?”
“I do.”
Their main courses arrived and Kelley smiled. Guillermo always prepared a variety of different dishes and making the portions smaller for him so he could eat at least five different dishes. Today was no different.
Sylvie’s eyes closed every time she took a bite of a different dish and Kelley found himself staring at her more and more. Dessert went the same way, even though he wasn’t a fan of anything sweet, he took a small bite of everything Sylvie fed him.
“Tonight’s been really fun,” Sylvie said.
“It has,” Kelley said.
“So, are you going to take me home now so we can have sex?”
Kelley blinked as Sylvie stared into his eyes. “Let’s go.”
She laughed as he took her hand and walked out of the restaurant. He nodded his head at the woman and walked out of the restaurant. “Kelley, you didn’t pay.”
“I have a tab I pay once a month,” he said, still dragging her towards his car.
When they reached his SUV, he pressed her against his car and kissed her. Her body melted against his and for her this kiss was so much better than the previous one. Her one leg curled around the back of his knee and he pressed himself against her.
They both gasped for breath when the kiss ended and Kelley opened her door. She climbed in, her lips tingling and she clenched her thighs together as Kelley rounded the car and climbed in next to her. The drive back to her house took less time than it did to get to the restaurant and before Sylvie knew it, she was unlocking her front door.
Kelley kicked the door closed behind him as their hands roamed and they kissed again. His jacket landed somewhere in the living room as they bumped against the walls towards the bedroom. Clothes were discarded haphazardly as they reached the bed.
Sylvie pushed Kelley down on the bed and straddled him. His hands were on her breasts, flicking her nipples with his thumbs. She leaned over him and opened the bedside drawer and took a condom out. She grinned at him as she ripped it open.
“Good thinking,” Kelley said, his voice low and thick.
She moved down his legs and gripped his erection in her hand. She lowered her head and licked over his slit. Kelley’s hips moved upwards and he groaned. She licked down his length and sucked the tip into her mouth as Kelley gripped her shoulders.
She looked up at him through her lashes and sat up straight to roll the condom on. Kelley’s hands slid down her sides and he lifted her by her hips and plunged deep inside her. His grip tightened as she started to move and he closed his eyes.
Sylvie reached her climax in mere minutes and Kelley flipped them over. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he pounded into her. His balls tightened and he almost laughed as he thought about Mason’s words to wash his balls.
