Chapter Ninety-Five

Milana turned on her side and looked into Kelley's eyes. She was amazed to see the warmth in them and intrigued at how he could come across as so cold when this other side of him existed as well. Her hand cupped his jaw, feeling the stubble on his chin and his eyes closed. Kelley inhaled sharply like her touch was doing something to him.
She was about to pull her hand away when his hand gripped hers tightly and she wondered if she'd overstepped some invisible boundary, again. Kelley's eyes opened and the hunger she saw there reflected her own.
Their mouths met softly at first, their hands tentatively exploring as Kelley deepened the kiss. Milana could feel it deep in her soul and she knew she wanted to be kissed like that every single day. His touch felt scorching but safe and when his hand encircled her breast, she thought she'd stopped breathing as pleasure spiked in her body and she couldn't quite figure out how one simple touch did that.
“Kell … oh, for fuck sake, my eyes!”
“Shit … Lee, get out!”
“Sorry! I thought you were alone.”
“Get out!”
Lee stumbled against the doorframe as Milana cowered behind Kelley. He quickly shut the door behind him and waited in the hallway.
Kelley closed his eyes as Milana started to laugh. Their position hadn’t been that compromising but Lee’s timing sucked. They’d just made progress and his hands had been under her shirt with her hands exploring his body, their lips locked together.
“I have to go hurt Lee now.” Kelley pushed himself away from her, willing his erection to go down.
“Don’t spill too much blood.”
Kelley chuckled as he pulled his t-shirt over his head and pulled on a pair of jeans. He waited as Milana straightened her own shirt and then he opened the bedroom door. Lee pushed himself off the wall and Kelley walked past him towards the study.
“This better be important, Lee.”
“I have no idea why this shit always happens to me.” Lee made a gun with his fingers and placed them against his head.
“Like I said, Lee, this better be important.”
“While you were getting your ego stroked, I’ve been watching three individuals buying up JenCorp shares like there’s a sale at a candy store.”
“Who?”
“Marcus Holt, Lewis Blackwell and Kirk Goodwin.”
The smile on Kelley’s face was anything but friendly as he turned to look at Lee who had made himself comfortable on the couch. Kelley’s mind started working overtime and he stopped pacing and looked at an amused Lee.
“What are you thinking, Obi-Wan?”
“I’m thinking that it would be such a shame when Hanson Chadney gets exposed for insider trading with JenCorp’s shares, stealing all his friends' money.”
Lee straightened in his seat. “The trail can easily be created, money appearing in an offshore account.”
Kelley sat down next to Lee and stretched his arms over his head. The study door opened and Connor strode inside, still looking pissed off. Lee immediately caught on to the tension between the other two men and watched them with interest.
“What’s going on here?”
Connor’s eyes hardened. “Nothing.”
“He’s pissed off because I shot out his tires last night so he couldn’t follow me to Meadow Lake.”
Lee’s eyes widened. “What the hell were you doing in Meadow Lake?”
Kelley shrugged and Connor sat down opposite Lee. “Being an idiot.”
“I got valuable information.”
“Like what?” Lee looked expectantly at him.
“We have a leak in our security.” Kelley looked straight at Connor and then turned to face Lee. “Transactions, playhouse locations and so forth. I’ll send everything to Blaire later, you get Blain on the JenCorp deal.”
“A leak in our security isn’t possible.” Lee wasn’t convinced.
“Trust me, when I find the son of a bitch working behind my back he might just disappear for good.” Connor’s fists clenched and Kelley looked up at the knock on the door.
“Come in.”
“Hey! It’s … oh Lee’s here.” Marella stood in the doorway and Lee stood up from the sofa as he stared at her.
“Marella.”
Kelley frowned slightly. “Did we have a meeting I forgot about?”
Connor surprised them all by walking towards Marella. “We’ll leave you two to it.” His hand went to Marella’s back as he followed her out of the study and Lee turned to look at Kelley.
“What the hell is that all about?”
Kelley looked back at the now closed door. “I have no clue, Lee.”
Lee looked ready to kill someone. “Why’s she here to see him? Is she seeing him? Is he seeing her?”
Kelley regarded Lee through narrowed eyes. The jealousy poured from him in waves and Kelley had to fight to not laugh in his friend’s face. Lee might just hurt him and he could. “I don’t know, Lee. Isn’t Marella free to do what she wants?”
“Oh piss off, Kelley.”
Lee stormed out of the study and Kelley stood there chuckling as he heard him stomp down the stairs. He shook his head and headed back to his room, finding his bed neatly made up but no Milana in sight. Damn Lee and his timing.
Kelley showered and got dressed to go into the office and headed downstairs for breakfast. Milana’s door was open and her room was empty. He heard her laugh as he neared the dining room and saw Mason, Andrea, Lee, Marella and Connor sitting at the table as they engaged in small talk.
“Did I forget family breakfast?”
“Wait, Lee was about to tell us about him walking in on you two.”
Kelley took his seat and his knee brushed against Milana’s knee. She looked at him and smiled before turning her attention to Lee again. “It wasn’t like with you and Andrea. At least Milana had all her clothes on.”
“So you’re the cock blocker of this family.”
They all sat stunned into silence and Andrea was the first one to break the silence as she burst out laughing at Milana’s statement. Marella laughed and placed her hand on Connor’s shoulder. Kelley didn’t miss the way Lee glared at them.
