Chapter 13: Losing Means Taking Off a Piece of Clothing

"Now we'll draw lots. If you get paired up, switch seats with each other and don't sit next to each other~" Sophia placed the crumpled paper on the table, and those who drew the same number automatically formed pairs.
There were four players for their first game, while others queued up and played if they drew numbers 1 or 2. Unfortunately for Annie, she drew number 2.
She looked across at Brandon, who had drawn number 1 - her opponent. Sophia also drew number 1 and raised an eyebrow at Annie as if to say, "Let's see how I can mess with you later."
"And who has drawn the other number 2?" Benjamin hesitated but eventually opened his hand to reveal his crumpled paper.
He smiled at Annie and said, "I'm not very good at playing cards, so I'll be counting on you later."
Annie responded with a smile that was more awkward than anything else. She was actually quite obedient and had never played card games like this before. When Sophia explained the rules earlier in such a hurry, she didn't remember them all. And now Benjamin - someone who seemed like he knew what he was doing - couldn't even play properly? Wasn't this just intentional sabotage? She began to suspect whether Sophia cheated when drawing lots earlier.
Annie took the cards that Sophia handed over but became speechless when she saw that none of them matched one another.
Sophia flipped through her own cards before handing over one last card to Annie, saying in a seductive voice, "Miss Hart... let's begin."
That enchanting voice made Annie feel uneasy because she only wore a dress; losing meant taking off everything until there was nothing left for people to see.
Annie realized that her hand wasn't great, plus Benjamin's poor gameplay made her palms sweat profusely. Unfortunately, Brandon wasn't willing to give in, either.
Annie was so angry that her face turned green. Carl saw this and quickly comforted her by holding her on his lap, saying, "Don't worry, I'll teach you."
Annie focused on the cards and didn't realize she was sitting on Carl's lap until he showed her how to group the cards together.
Sophia looked over and said unhappily,"Mr. MacDonald, are you cheating?"
Carl raised an eyebrow and replied, "You tell me if you can beat these cards or not."
Sophia snorted coldly before putting away the cards while leaning back against the sofa.
Annie knew that Sophia couldn't beat her with those cards now. She finally relaxed a little bit after being tense for so long. She smiled at Carl, who then kissed her again, causing Annie to feel a chill run down her spine as she realized she was still sitting on his lap.
She tried to push him away, but he held onto her tightly, saying, "What will happen if you move around again?"
This scared Annie into not moving anymore; she turned pale and looked back at Brandon, whose eyes were bloodshot with a chilling desire making Annie's heart tremble suddenly.
As she wondered whether he cared about what had happened between them earlier, he suddenly played out several pairs of powerful card combinations without giving any chance for retaliation from Annie.
After finishing all of his remaining cards, Sophia excitedly announced, "I only have one pair left!"
She threw down several connected pairs of numbers onto the table before raising an eyebrow towards Benjamin and Annie, saying, "You both lost according to game rules which means each of you has to take off one piece of clothing."
Benjamin could only smile helplessly as he put down his unfinished pile of cards before taking off his jacket first. Sophia then turned towards Annie, saying, "Miss Hart... it's your turn now since my Benjamin has already taken off his clothes."
