Chapter 18 Check and You'll Know
A faint fragrance mixed with the smell of alcohol came over, disturbing her heart for a moment.
Facing his approach, Annie was a bit at a loss and moved towards the car door.
But the interior of the car was too narrow. She only moved twice before her back pressed against the door.
Brandon supported himself on the car window with one hand and tightly held her small body in his arms.
After glancing lightly at her, those cold peach blossom eyes fell on the diamond necklace around her neck.
After a while, there came a contemptuous laugh in his ear. "It seems that your new sugar daddy is treating you well."
He rarely smiled; most of the time, he had a cold face.
But this smile was even more terrifying than when he had a cold face.
Annie wanted to explain, but those three words, "new sugar daddy", made her silent.
Since Carl introduced her as his woman, explanations were meaningless from then on.
Seeing that she didn't speak or defend herself, Brandon's expression suddenly darkened.
He raised his slender and handsome hand and touched Annie's cheek all the way to behind her ear.
When his fingertips spread out their chilliness across her skin, Annie couldn't help shivering.
Compared to feeling disgusted by Carl's touch earlier, Brandon's touch made fear rise within Annie - an aura of power that had been long established weighed down upon them both, so much so that she could hardly breathe properly anymore.
His fingers went through her hair before Brandon grabbed hold of Annie's nape with one hand and pulled it close to him until they were at eye-to-eye level.
In a low voice, he asked: "When did you sleep together? How many times?"
The man's good scent filled up every inch between them as they got closer.
Annie's heart felt numb under such proximity; even the bones in her body felt weak.
She cursed herself for being so weak and turned her head away from him, avoiding his touch. But Brandon suddenly grabbed hold of her neck.
He stared at the hickey on the back of her neck with a cold voice that almost chilled to the bone: "Did you just do it?"
Annie's face turned pale as she quickly raised her hand to cover up where Carl had kissed behind her ear. "No, we didn't do anything."
"Do you think I'll believe you?"
The way he looked at Annie was like looking at a dead person - cold enough to make people shiver.
Annie couldn't help but tremble but still forced herself to explain: "Whether or not you believe me, I haven't done anything with him."
"Is that so?"
Brandon sneered; his smile was icy and stiff. "Check, and you'll know whether or not something happened."
Suddenly he tore open Annie's dress.
Annie exclaimed in shock and hugged herself tightly.
Before she could ask what he was doing, she grabbed onto Brandon's shoulder and scolded him furiously for being an asshole.
But Brandon seemed oblivious as his slender fingers kept exploring something.
"Brandon, are you crazy? Let go of me!"
Annie was furious; there wasn't any expression on his face except for paranoia while checking over again.
She held onto his hand, reminding him: "Don't forget it is because of your rejection that made us break up. Since then, don't touch me anymore!"
Her voice sounded icy, like snow-capped mountains in winter, which caused Brandon's long fingers to pause slightly when they were about to move again.
When he lifted his eyes, there was redness around them like flames burning under ice – hot enough to burn anyone who dared look into them directly.
"Sell yourself off to Carl, so I can't touch you anymore?"
His voice was charming to listen to, crisp and hoarse, with a magnetic quality.
But what he said was highly unpleasant.
One word, "sell", degraded her dignity into the dirt.
She had sold herself to him before thinking that it would change his impression of her without spending any money. But she didn't expect that in his eyes, she was still a 'prostitute' who could be bought and sold at will.
Annie's heart felt like it was being pricked by needles; it hurt so much that her face turned as pale as paper. However, suddenly there appeared a smile on her face.
"Mr. Ross."
She hooked both hands around his neck and smiled: "He bought me, so naturally, you can't touch me anymore. This is also the rule you taught me. Don't forget?"
Brandon's expression gradually darkened bit by bit when he heard this: "What did you say?"
Annie tilted her chin slightly and whispered in his ear, "Actually, I lied to you just now. Mr. MacDonald and I have already been intimate long ago. We did it three times last night and twice today. Now, I am his woman. Please don't misunderstand, Mr. Ross."
