Chapter 34 Do You Often Play Role-Playing Games?
Annie was so nervous that her heart was trembling. Why did this man pretend to be Carl and approach her? Why didn't he show his true face, and why did he turn off all the lights after coming in? What did he want to do?!
Her mind was in chaos, and she didn't know what to do next. Initially, the plan was just to deal with Carl, but now there's suddenly a stranger. What should she do?!
She felt anxious inside but forced herself to remain calm on the surface.
No matter who this person is, as long as they enter this room, she must find a way to drug him!
Thinking of this, Annie released her clenched hands and pretended nonchalantly: "Mr MacDonald, if you want to play role-playing games, don't turn off the lights; it's too dark."
As she spoke, she groped her way towards the table and picked up an empty wine glass beside it. She poured a small cup of wine containing sleeping pills into it.
She lifted half the wine-filled glass and walked over to him before handing him the drink.
"Mr MacDonald, have a drink first for fun."
Annie intended for Carl to come over so that when he received the contract from her, he would become interested in her romantically.
At that time, she would persuade Carl first by offering him some drinks while delaying until after taking the effect of drugs before killing him with a short knife.
Then record a video exposing Carl's crimes while stating that she had no choice but to kill him because of being forced into such circumstances.
After completing everything herself, including publishing videos on Weibo at scheduled times and then committing suicide by cutting her wrists afterwards, people from MacDonald Inc will think that both Annie and Carl were killed due to love affairs gone wrong, which means they won't bother Fiona anymore.
But despite all her calculations, she never expected that the person who came was not Carl.
This completely ruined her plan, and she couldn't kill this person directly. Otherwise, if Carl weren't dealt with yet, she would be responsible for another life which is not worth it.
So she only poured a small amount of wine, enough to make him faint temporarily but not enough to cause death.
She planned to drug him first, then quickly send an address to Carl before he sent someone else to disrupt Fiona and Joseph's wedding night!
Annie thought well about everything but the man didn't take her drink. Instead, he stared at her fixedly as if he could see through her thoughts in the dark.
Only his eyes were visible under the mask; Annie couldn't tell what kind of expression he had on his face. Nevertheless, she felt that his powerful aura was comparable to Brandon's.
He hadn't spoken since entering and kept staring at her with his head down low. If it weren't for slight movements in his chest when breathing, Annie would have thought he was a walking corpse.
His appearance was particularly frightening, making Annie so scared that her heart pounded rapidly while trying to think about how best to deal with him.
Suddenly he pressed Annie against the wall from behind: "Do you often play role-playing games?"
His voice was very low, as if deliberately hiding it, hoarse like no normal human could produce such sound. Therefore, based on his voice alone, one cannot distinguish who he is unless they remove his mask somehow.
Annie saw he didn't intend to impersonate Carl anymore, so she stopped pretending. She pulled down her face and asked coldly: "You are not Mr MacDonald? Who are you? Why don't you show your true identity?"
The man did not answer but raised a hand wearing black gloves and touched Annie's cheek: "Answer me first."
While touching herself on the face, Annie quickly reached out to remove his mask.
But he reacted very quickly and grabbed her wrist. Her right hand held the wine while her left was caught by him; she became passive in an instant.
The man noticed she didn't want to throw away the wine in her hand, so he guessed it must be drugged. He took away the glass from her nose and sniffed it.
Annie felt nervous and broke into a cold sweat as she waited for his reaction after realizing something was wrong with the drink.
However, he said nothing but put down the glass beside him instead. Then he pulled out a white plastic cable tie and tied up both of Annie's hands tightly before tearing off an expensive tie on top of her shirt, then blindfolded her with it!
