Jason POV

I carried Violet over to my suite and placed her down on the bed
I carried Violet over to my suite and placed her down on the bed. I took off her heels, placed her hair in a high bun, and also removed her makeup by using her make-up remover wipes.

Unraveling my jacket, I placed it on the hanger and grabbed a blanket from the cabinets for her and for myself.

After placing the blanket on her, I plodded my way to the mini-couch and placed myself in a comfortable position to sleep.

Today was hell for me considering the fact that I saved Violet from being raped by that guy. I couldn't let that happen to her because I didn't want to go through the same experience as my sister did back in high school. It was something I promised myself that I wouldn't put myself to that dark place.

I had to protect Violet for her own safety.

It was six in the morning when I wake up to my alarm clock on my phone. Violet was still asleep and I went over to the bathroom, taking a quick shower and brush my teeth for the fashion show today.

I thought it'd be best to let Violet sleep in for the day due to the incident that happened last night.

''--Yes, with hash browns and apple juice,'' I said to the room-service team. I ordered a big breakfast for both of us, even though the food would be cold once Violet wakes up.

By fifteen minutes, they've arrived at my suite and I was able to eat my breakfast fast and prepare myself for the event today.

After eating, I brush my teeth again, gathered my belongings and left a note right beside Violet with vitamins and her breakfast.

Violet POV

My eyes sluggishly opened and I was in confusion. Everything around me smelled like... cologne.

A dense Ralph Lauren cologne was sprayed through the air that made me got out of my bed and went to the bathroom. I arched my brows, clueless about how I changed my hair and how my sleepwear is a Lakers hoodie.

''What the?" I whispered. I smelled the hoodie for a quick second and realized it's the same cologne that this person used all over the suite.

I came back to the room and went over the bed and saw a note on the table.

Overthinking the situation between Jason and me placed me in a frantic mood. I mean something really did happen and I couldn't put to my mind into it. In honesty, I forgot what happened last night.

The last thing I remember was being mad at Jason for being such an asshole to me just because Gary Chesterfield and his men were interacting with me. I mean it got him mad for some reason... I don't know. Jason was acting weird. I really don't understand him at all.. whatsoever.

After taking a shower, cleansing myself, and eating the breakfast that Jason allegedly gave me I called him.

I heaved a sigh and begin to dial his number on my phone.

"Why hello there," Jason said.

"Hey, it's Violet.''

"I know. Hence why I answered the phone," he said.

''What happened last night? What'd you do to me?''

''Nothing happen, we didn't have sex if that's what you're wondering.''

''Then what exactly happened?''

He heaved a rough sigh. ''Do we really need to do this over the phone?''

''Yes, we do. You haven't given me all of the information that I needed.''

''Ms.Johnson as much as I want to I can't right now. This isn't a good time or--''

''Just tell me! Goodness, you're so stubborn.''

''I told you that nothing happened.''

''You're holding something back from me.''

"How do you figure?" he asked.

"Don't make me explain it. Just tell me I'm right and tell me what you're hiding."

"I'm not hiding anything, for fuck's sake Violet--''

''--- What did you say?''

''I said Violet, are you surprised? You thought I didn't know your name?'' I heard him sigh on the other end of the line, and I knew I had him. If only he would stop fucking fighting me at every damn turn.
