Jason POV
[ three days later..]
''Finally, you made it, what took you so long?'' Jessica said to me, helping me to take out the groceries for today's dinner.
Jessica and Caesar invited close friends and some of Caesar's family for a get-together party. Even though I didn't want to be here, I decided to show up for my sister.
It's been about three days since I've have not seen or heard from Violet. And it's killing me inside slowly. I was in this weird state of feeling so many emotions all at once but at the same time feeling absolutely nothing.
My emotions were out-of-control at this point. Not being with her really hurts me so much, because I finally realized that Violet is the one for me.
Not Sasha, or Danielle, or any girls that I've dealt with in the past.
I only want Violet and I am deeply hurt, and my heart will undoubtedly be scarred because we can't be together. Plus, she made it clear she can't do this with me.
''Sorry there was traffic, plus it's raining really bad. Very unusual weather in California.''
''Yeah, I know.'' After gathering the groceries, Jessica closes the garage while I stepped to the kitchen area.
There were small groups of people, drinking, laughing, as the music was playing in the background and the TV displaying in the living room.
''Just in time my brother, we're making shrimp fettuccine alfredo,'' Cameron said to me, passing me an apron to wear to start cooking with him.
''-Also we got desserts too,'' Caesar added.
''Can I help you, Jason? I'm a really good cook,'' a random girl said to me. She was petite with big blue eyes and dirty-blonde hair. She was biting on her lips, flirting with me and slowly placed her hand on top of mine, fluttering her eyes rapidly.
''I'm good love,'' I ignored, placing my apron on top of my shirt. She scoffed and storms out of the kitchen as I prepare cooking up the shrimp.
''How the fuck you get away from that fine piece of--''
''---I'm not in the mood right now Cam, can we please just not do this right now.''
''Dude come on, ever since the Violet thing you're not yourself.''
''I know that.''
''Why can't you talk about it, you are my best friend.''
I sighed. ''I want to but I can't. Whenever I'm ready, I'll tell you.''
''--- Guys! You should see this!'' a friend of Caesar said loudly from the living room. He turns up the volume as everyone gathered around, clustered by the television.
This is Darcy Peterson reported to you live in breaking news. A flight 210 from the Jetblue airlines has been reported crashed overseas in Paris.
''Paris?'' someone interrupted.
''Shhh!"' Everyone shot back.
About one hundred and twenty-three passengers were on that plane to Paris, France. It has been reported that ten passengers died, while twenty are injured. We have Raul over in Paris for the updated report.
''Oh my gosh, this is terrible,'' Jessica whispered.
Yes, Darcy, as you can see here we have many passengers who are safe and sound, while others are taken over to a hospital here in Paris. It's been reported that there has been severe weather conditions overseas. A possible thunderstorm according to the Captain.
Some of our passengers are very well known over in the U.S. such as Felipe Osorio, a professor over in UTI, Melissa Bailey, a photographer over in Google in New York, and Violet Johnson, a fashion stylist executive over in Coast Apparel who are injured and is taking care of in a local hospital in Paris.
''Oh my god!'' Jessica shouted.
''Oh my fucking gosh,''' I whispered.
''Holy...''
''Shit,'' Caesar finished Cameron's sentence.
-------
BAM
''Jason! Jason! Relax, take a breather!'' Jessica said to me, pacing her way as we both were outside of the house.
''No, I can't breathe! I can't!"
"Jason, count to ten.''
''That's too long Jess!'' I whined.
''Okay, let's count to three. Yeah?"
She held my hand and touched my heart, keeping me from losing my mind.
''One... two.... three...,'' we said together.
''Jes,'' I whispered.
''I know, I know you're scared. We're right here with you. I'll call in the team, we'll get a private Jet and go there. Okay? We can take another route and find out how to get to Violet."
''-I'll call them right now,'' Caesar said, pulling out his phone and walked back inside the house.
''Jason, look at me,'' Jessica said. ''Jason.''
I sobbed into her chest unceasingly, hands clutching at her jacket. She held me in silence, rocking me slowly as my tears soaked her chest. A tiny lapse let me pull away, blinking lashes heavy with tears, before I collapsed again, my howls of misery worsening.
Jessica tips-toes to my shoulder and gave me a hug ''Everything's going to be okay, I promise,'' she whispered.
