Violet POV
Four months later...
Wedding day
I held the bouquet ready for the ceremony, my hands twinged with sweat
I held the bouquet ready for the ceremony, my hands twinged with sweat. I was so fucking nervous. Incredibly so.
My heart ran with legs like a runner. My eyebrows frowned in worry and impatience. I glanced at the bouquet ready to keep well away from the plants which were still beautifully deadly. They carried an otherworldly trance.
I gulped. It was nearly time.
''Ready?'' Jessica said to me while grooming Emilia's hair.
''Yes,'' I whispered and grew a smile.
The doors were open and everyone stood up from their chairs. Best Part by Daniel Caesar started to play in an orchestra cover.
I saw everyone that I knew as I walked down the aisle. People from Vella Empire, Coast Apparel, Jason's college friends, colleagues, etc. The closer I got to Jason, the closer my heart wanted to explode.
He stood there with a smile on his face, trying to hold everything together when I made it to the altar.
His eyes were bright and liquid warm, sprinkled with light brown specks, framed by beautiful thick lashes. I sneak a glance at him. I pause, noticing the power behind those breathtaking eyes.
''Hi,'' he whispered.
''Hi,'' I whispered back.
Jessica went over to my side with Aubree while Cameron and Caesar were standing beside Jason.
''You may be seated,'' Pastor Phillip said. ''We are here gathering in today's wonderful ceremony by Jason Vella and Violet Johnson. The two lovely couple decided that it is time to be together as Husband and Wife.''
The pastor continued preaching about love, obstacles, challenges, and trusting on another to our future.
For a half-second, we stood there, staring at each other. I was assessing him as though he was my competition or prey, and he simply watched me because he found the most beautiful girl in the world standing right in front of him. It was my eyes that captivated him most of all though.
''You have kissed a thousand times, maybe more. But today the feeling is new. No longer simply partners and best friends, you have become husband and wife, and can now seal the agreement with a kiss.Jason, you may kiss the bride."
Excitement boomed over the crowd, strident timbre of the voice, a cacophony of applause and cheering, whooping, hollering, and clapping.
He leans in, so my foreheads rest against his. We closed our eyes and his lips brush mine. He kissed me and the world fell away. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be. His hand rested below my ear, his thumb caressing my cheek as our breaths mingled.
Slowly, I catch myself opening my eyes and staring into his. He smiled and kissed me on the cheek twice.
''I love you,'' he whispered.
"I love you too.''

Jason POV
As our lips crushed together, I felt like I was walking on air
As our lips crushed together, I felt like I was walking on air. It was magic, the way her lips connected with mine. We were at the reception, the night was still young, and people were slow dancing on the dance floor, while others were getting some candy and cake.
''Violet,'' I whispered while we were dancing slowly to a soft instrumental music.
''Yes?'' She said back, looking up to me.
''We are married baby.''
She giggled. ''I know my love, now you can call me your wife.''
''As you can call me your husband and uncle.''
''Uncle?'' She questioned.
''Jessica is pregnant,'' I smiled.
''Wh... really?'' Her smile shined like the stars in the sky, with no bright city lights to dim them. It was like the sun opened its eager light to shine about her, only brightening her perfectly aligned teeth.
''Yes,'' I laughed, smiling back.
''How come she--''
''-- She didn't want to intrigue because of the wedding. Plus, I want to tell you anyways, only to see your reaction.''
She let out a soft laugh. ''Of course, you wanted to see my reaction, that's nothing new.''She always said she hated her laugh, but every time I hear her giggling through her nose, snorting adorably, I fell a little more in love with her.
She giggled, the sound like a brook flowing merrily through a well-lit wood. Her laugh was like a waterfall.
''Guess what?'' I asked.
''What?''
''When our honeymoon comes, I'm talking to you to the Maldives.''
''No you're not.''
I don't know why I found myself laughing so hard, but all of a sudden, I couldn't stop. Her face dropped, mixed in with happiness, confusion, excitement all at once.
''Seriously?''
''I mean, you are my wife, duh.''
''You remembered?''
''Of course, the first day you came to my office, I asked you if you traveled before and you said no but continued to be talkative about wanting to go to Bali, Japan, The Maldives.''
''I honestly that you didn't care,'' she places her head down in shyness. My thumb touched her chin, lifting it up slowly and I looked into her gorgeous eyes. They glow with humor and playfulness that gives you shivers and wraps you in a warm embrace at the same time.
''Of course, I care. Violet I cared since day one. I may have not been great at it but somehow, something told me that I needed to care. Falling in love with you was the easy part; it's admitting to myself that it happened that's hard.
When your eyes are locked on mine, it's like I can see galaxies instead of just pupils. Having you in my life makes me feel like everything's possible in this world like I can conquer anything. I don't regret meeting you and I know you might be my first but what I really wish in life is for you to be my last.''
Our glances battled each other until tears arose, and we found ourselves crying.
Her lips were moving in perfect sync, my hands feeling her waist; I pulled her closer, the kiss deeper, more passionate. I felt her hands on the back of my neck play with the ends of my hair. A smile grew on my face as it started to tickle, finally, we pulled apart.
Our nose touched and I felt her heart pounding against my chest. I couldn't resist but to kiss her one more time.
This was it. I reached my goal. Violet is now my wife.
