Jason POV
[ 10 hours, 25 minutes later...]
''How much longer?'' I said to the limo driver. Jessica was across me as we were in the streets in Paris, cruising our way to find a hospital. Jessica was on the phone, talking with Caesar while I was scrolling through the news feed, keeping myself updated from the plane.
''Five minutes boss.''
''Okay.''
Jessica hangs up the phone and sighed. ''Everything's okay?'' She asked.
''We have five minutes.''
''Hey, listen to me, we're going to be okay.''
''I know Jes, you told me like a million times,'' I softly chuckled.
''I know but I want to make sure. I care about you Jay, you're my little big brother."
I snickered ''I know you do.''
We both grinned at the same time when our limo driver stopped near the curb. ''We're here,'' he said.
Jessica and I went out of the limo and find ourselves going towards the Saint-Louis hospital. Jessica was the first to speak in front of the lady, sitting down at the reception desk.
''Here are your visiting passes, down the hall to the left,'' the lady said, giving us the passes.
''Thank you,'' Jessica and I said.
Down the hall to the left, a middle-aged woman came out of the room and looked over her notepad. I speed my way up to her and called out ''Miss'' serval times.
''Excuse me, hi, I am---''
''Jason Vella,'' she replied quickly in her thick accent.
''Um...''
''You are very recognizable,'' she smiled. ''How may I help you?''
''Violet Johnson. Is she in there? May I see her?"
''Yes, she just got out of surgery.''
''Is she okay?''
''She's fine, there's a scar in her lip, arm, and nose, but it would heal quickly. She would have to go to the chiropractor for the next two months in checking up of her body."
''Am I allowed to see her right now?''
''Yes. However, only two people are allowed to be in the room. Her friend is in there, only one of you can visit her.''
''Okay, thank you.''
''No problem.'' She walked away from us and I turned my body to Jessica.
''Go in there, go see her.''
''Yeah, I will. Wait for me?''
''Of course, good luck.''
''Thanks.''

Knock
Knock
I walked into the room and turned over to my right and saw Violet's friend sitting down on the chair. She looked back at me with a scowling look on her face and drastically got up from her seat. ''What the hell?''
''Is she--''
''--You should leave.''
''Bre, please it's okay,'' Violet hoarse.
''Vi..''
''Bre, I'm okay, you should go, I'll be fine.''
She sighed and gathered her purse, sizing me up and down and mouthed ''I'm watching you.''
Violet smiled lightly and I could tell that she was a little star-struck I was there.
"I thought you were busy," she said.
''I flew out here because of what I heard. I wanted to see if you were okay."
I sat down on the chair and got closer to her. Our hands interlocked with one another, feeling her fingertips compressed in mine. I rubbed my thumb around in a vertical motion and took a rough sigh.
"How are you even hurt when your friend?-"
"Is it fine? She took the early flight to here. I couldn't find a way to take an early flight so I took the afternoon one."
''Violet.... I.''
"I love you too", she blurted.
''You do?''
''Of course, I do. I'm sorry so for pushing you away. I'm so used to getting myself hurt, not wanting to be open to those who care for me. I'm so afraid that if I let myself way too open, I can break. Afraid of being broken, it's so easy to take my heart and throw it away.
I am no longer afraid of you or afraid of this bond between us. I wasn't sure for a long time Jason that you wouldn't hurt me like all the other people in my life that I cared about. I look at you and I know, I finally know, what it is to love and to be loved.''
''I need to tell u exactly how I feel. I need you to know that I care for you deeply and I am always here for you no matter what. That you are the most beautiful and stunning girl I have ever laid eyes on.
I want you to know you are the person I think about whenever I'm in a bad mood or working long hours, thinking of you puts a smile on my face when nothing else would. I wouldn't trade that at all with anyone else but you."
Slow desolate tears ran from her unblinking eyes and dripped steadily into her nightshirt. I arch over her body and kissed Violet softly. I gazed into her brown eyes, glowing with happiness as I went over and kissed her again.
My phone ringed out from my pocket voluminously and noticed it was Jessica calling me.
''--Okay, just give me a second,'' I responded. I closed the phone and looked at Violet with a gloomy face.
''Everything's okay?''
''It's my sister.''
''Jessica is here?'' She smiled.
''Yes, I brought here with me.''
''That's very sweet of you.''
''I know.'' I sighed. ''I should go, it's been a long day for me.''
''Okay.''
I went over to her one last time, arching my body and lean forward to give her a kiss. Her small hands were on the side of my face as we continued kissing softly.
I kissed her longer than I should have, but I pulled myself back and smiled before walking away.
"I'll call you later," she whispered.
''I love you,'' I whispered.
''I love you too.''
