Violet POV
As much as I tried to hold it in, the pain came out like an uproar from my throat in the form of a silent scream. The beads of water started falling down one after another, without a sign of stopping.
''So you go out in the middle of the night? Drinking? And to think that I want to be there for you and making sure that you're going to be okay, you decide to get drunk!" I yelled, feeling the tears running down my face.
''Violet--''
''Don't you dare! I can't believe you!"'
''I lost my grandmother, what am I supposed to do Vi?"
''Not getting drunk! I get it, it's so painful, it feels like your whole world stopped. But that doesn't mean you have to get yourself drunk let alone get into a fight with a security guard? I mean why!''
''I'm sorry.''
''I can't even look at you right now.''
''Vi...''
'I need some space,'' I responded quickly, going over to the bed. I placed both hands on my face and begin to feel the tears running down my face.
''
Violet, baby, please. Please don't,'' he said, trying to hold the tears that threatened to leave his eyes. ''Please don't go, it won't happen again.''
''I'm going to the other room for the night,'' I looked at him as he sniffed softly.
''I..''
Knock
Knock
''Violet, breakfast is ready!" said one of the maids.
''Coming!'' I yelled back.
''—- Vi..."
"Breakfast is ready, we should go eat."
--
There's nothing but quietness from the both of us. We were sitting across from each other, in silence, hearing those noises from our utensils while we were devouring our breakfast.
I drank on my apple juice and took a bite of my bagel covered with Philadelphia cream cheese. It was a loud crunch when I glared at Jason as he placed his head down timidly, nibbling on his food.
A ring from the doorbell echoed through the house and I knew it was Roc. One of the chefs walked towards the door and opened it as Roc came in with a greeting and went over to see us.
''Anything on the agenda boss?'' He said to me.
''No," Jason hoarse.
''—- Actually, Roc is it okay for you to take to me Aubree's? I just want the day to hang out," I said.
Jason heaved a deep sigh.
''Sure okay,'' He replies back.
Jason rolls his eyes as we both continued to eat our breakfast meals. After, I walked down the steps with my purse carrying on my shoulder.
Jason ignores me and grabs my purse and walks out of the house, going down the steps to the limousine outside.
Roc followed me from behind while Jason was placing the bags inside the limo.
''Drive safe for her, please?'' He told Roc.
''Of course boss, I would protect her from getting hurt, especially for the baby.''
He nods and gives Roc a pat on the shoulder. He stepped to the side and gave me that gloomy face.
''Call me when you need anything, please.''
''I will,'' I replied, looking down.
''Violet.''
''I heard you J, I'll call you.''
He leaned over to kiss me but I denied. ''I can't, I smell the Vodka.'' I saw his face dropped down and he tucks in his hoodie again, hiding away the scratches on his face.
''Baby--''
''-- I love you too, I'll talk to you later.''
I went to the limo as Roc closed the door. He drove in reverse and proceed to leave the mansion.
By twenty minutes, we arrived at Aubree's apartment. Roc helped me up with the bags and left me by the door to her home. I gave him a hug and told him to have a nice day and he said the same to me with another hug.
I rang the doorbell a number of times and finally, Aubree was able to get to the door. The door creaked and she was standing there with her hair tied up into a bun and wearing some sweatpants.
She looked at me with a worried face and arched her brows, trying to figure out what was going on.
''Vi? What's going on?'' She asked.
"Jason,'' I whispered. ''He...''
A lone tear tracked down my cheek, and just like that, the floodgates opened. So many tears burst forth like water from a dam, spilling down my face.
My chin trembled as if I was a small child. I breathed heavier than I ever had before. I was gasping for air that simply wasn't there.
''Shhh, Vi, oh, Vi,'' She said to me. She hugs me tight and placed my head on her tiny shoulders, rocking me back and forth slowly.
''Vi, it's going to be okay. Do you hear me? It's going to be okay,'' she said.
