Jason POV

It was nine in the morning and I was dressed in my black Amramni suit, along with a lavender tie and black shoes. My maids came just in time and started to clean the living room area. My chefs cooked me a whole breakfast meal with a small side of dessert.

Danielle came in with my high school football jersey and sat down next to me. The doorbell ring and I already knew it was Caesar, Jessica, and Cameron joining me for breakfast.

It was Caesar's idea to join with me for breakfast and tagged Jessica along to talk things out and Cameron wanted to come because there's food, obviously, and I owe him from my little tantrum the other day.

''Hey man, what's up?'' I said to Caesar and Cameron, shaking hands with them as my security guards Roc and Shane escorted them to the kitchen.

''Oooh, I smell bacon!" Cameron said, rubbing his hands together.

''Yeah, don't eat it all,'' I laughed.

''I won't I promised---''

''--- How you been?'' Caesar said to me.

''Good and you?''

''Good too.''

''Hey, Jes.''

''Jason,'' she replied in a monotone.

''Jes..''

''I'm going to eat my French Toast.''

She walked by from us and I turned my body to Caesar, looking at him for an answer from her actions.

''She'll come around,'' he chuckled, patting me on the back.

''It's been six months, I said sorry, I gave her flowers, and Mr.PeanutButter back.'' Mr.PeanutButter was Jessica's favorite stuffed bunny. I always hogged over the bunny and never gave it back to her until we moved to Los Angeles.

I sold Mr.Peanutbutter on eBay which pissed her off and she didn't talk to me for weeks. But, I was able to buy Mr.Peanutbutter back with a huge bid, and I was lucky because the guy who bought said he wouldn't sell it if I weren't the ''Jason Vella''.

''Whatever,'' I mumbled. We went over to the kitchen and sat down, eating our breakfast in silence. The only noise that was happening was Cameron's loud-sloppy noises as he eats the bacon and egg sandwich, smacking his lips every second.

''So... how's the house going?'' I finally broke the silence.

''It's great, we just need to readjust the furniture outside,'' Ceasar said to me.

Jessica gave me the death stare and ate her french toast, took a sip of her orange juice and continued to stare me down.

I gulped anxiously and ate my eggs as Danielle cleared her throat, trying to get everyone's undivided attention.

''Jason and I are doing great you know,'' Danielle said.

''No one cares,'' Jessica muffled through her french toast.

''I beg your pardon?''

''I said---''

''--She doesn't mean that,'' Caesar interrupted.

''-Oh no, I do.''

''Jessica I assure you I love Jason and I think our relationship is going to a good start. We belong together, just how he texted me that.''

''Really? He said those things?'' Cameron said in a sarcastic tone.

''Guys--''

''--Yes, he did. He wants to be with me. No one else but me,'' Danielle replied, after cutting me off.

''Are you sure Jason feels the same way?" Jessica smirked.

''Yes, he does. My baby loves me more than everything---''

''---Actually... I want to hear Jason say it. With his own words.''

Everyone twist their heads to me and waited for an answer. I swallowed anxiously, feeling tense to say that I feel the same way that Danielle does to me.

But, in honesty, I don't.

I thought that I would banish those feelings of Violet for good when we got back together.

I thought I was going to be that playboy again, be with someone for a short period of time and call it quits.

But the more I denied the worse it gotten. Danielle is so attached to me that I can't even have the balls to tell her that I don't like her.

It's Violet who I like, not Danielle.

And I'm so dumb that I didn't go after Violet after the incident.

I should have not walked away.

With a sigh, I replied ''Uhh... umm...''

Jessica raised her brows childishly and took another sip of her drink.

''Well Jason, do you baby?'' Danielle said.

I cleared my throat as Cameron whistle through his teeth.

''I think that's my cue to go, I have a meeting to go,'' I said.

''Proved my point,'' Jessica mumbled.

The look on Danielle's face dropped, almost teary-eyed as she watched me gather my belongings. She looked at me and Jessica at the same time then went her way upstairs as Jessica shrugged and continued to eat her food.

''Enjoy breakfast everyone, I got to go. Sean, would you take to my work please?''

''Yes boss,'' he responded.

-----

[ 2 hours later..]

"YOU'RE WHAT?" Rodger asked.

"I'm letting you go," I said.

"Mr. Vella, I've worked with you for years. You've had protective detail on this company ever since your father built it I have done good work."

"I'm sorry Rodger. But it's no longer good enough. We've had breaches on this property multiple times over the past couple of weeks.

And now I've hired a team that is worthy of such an adversary. Look, Rodger. I understand the work you and your unit have put in. That I'm offering you is more than fair, more than was outlined in your contract."

"You'll regret this, Mr. Vella. I guarantee it," he said.

"I've worked very hard for you. I left the company I worked for so you could hire me on full-time. I brought the best staff I knew, and I told them to risk it all because the job you were hiring for was worth it. What am I supposed to tell them now?"

"To get better training and be more prepared next time," I said.

"This will backfire. It always does. You are treading on thin ice with your position. There are many women-and men-who would kill for your job. I suggest you start remembering the boundaries we put forth a couple of years ago, so I don't have---''

''---Yeah, you know what Rodger, you should go, your time is up.''

"Ever since Violet left this company, it's been a shit-show.''

''Well, Violet isn't here to fix that, is she?''

He scoffed. ''Go to hell.''

''Not if you go there first,'' I smirked as he zoomed out his way out of the office.

I roughly sighed and raked through my hair, frustrated and eager to go home any second now.

A double knock came through the door and I shouted ''come in.'' Nora came in with a file and placed it on my desk and sat down on the chair, sitting in a comfortable position.

Since Violet left, Nora has been taking over as my personal assistant and still do receptionist duties from time to time.

''Nora, what do you have for me?'' I asked.

''Coast Apparel is having their fashion show over in San Fransico, Gary Chesterfield would be there along with Ulysses, and a small company from Tokyo is willing to speak with you about their line.''

''When is the event?''

''In two weeks.''

''And who's responsible for the fashion styling in the brand?''

''Uh...'' She clears her throat several times and continued. ''Vi...Violet... Violet.,'' she stuttered. ''Violet Johnson, is responsible.''

''Violet,'' I said.

''Yes, sir.''

''Hmph, okay.''

So the fashion show is in two weeks, which means I'm going to see violet, which means that there's a possible chance we'll run to each other again.

Great.
