Violet POV

''I didn't want to believe it at first but the symptoms kept kicking through hard and I had to take the test to make sure.'' I took a deep sigh and passed over the pregnancy test to Jason. ''Jason.... if...''

''Violet, please, it's okay.''

''It is?'' I questioned. He nodded yes and let out a soft grin.

''Of course, it is my love. Listen, I know I'm not the type that likes to talk about things like this, but I would want to be there for the child. Our child.'' His hands dropped down on my chin and he gently taps the bridge of my nose.

''If I were, to be honest, I thought you were going to freak out. Cause you know..''

''--Yeah, I get it. But, I've changed. Honestly, what matters right now is you, the little thing in your stomach and making sure you'll get through this pregnancy safe and sound.''

I shed a tear and smiled. ''I don't know what I'll do without you,'' I whispered.

''Same here baby. I want to make things better for me and you. I'm happy. I can't wait for this."

I laughed. "Yeah, me too."

''Oh em gee, I'm going to be an auntie eee!'' Aubree said jumping up and down as soon as we walked out of the salon. I met up with Aubree to tell her the news of my pregnancy and already she is blabbering about naming my unborn child.

This girl... I swear sometimes

''If it's girl definitely Rose.''

''Rose?''

''Yeah, why not?''

''I don't know how I'm going to feel about naming Rose.''

She laughed. ''Hey, I'm suggesting.''

''Right,'' I replied with a small laugh. ''Can you help me out with something to wear for the Serenity event, I can't find something to wear.''

''Absolutely, plus, I need something to wear as well.''

''Wait, you are going too?''

''Yeah, Cameron told me about the event and I said yes.''

''Oh great, this should be fun!''

"I know right, I heard Jeremy Dailey is going to perform I can't to see that."

"Me too. Heard that he's bringing Giselle Sams with him, it's going to be insane seeing the two perform on stage!"

"I know!" She shrieked.

We both laughed and walked across the street to Tiger Mist. Aubree and I went inside the clothing store and made our way towards the dresses area.

The two of us were going through each aisle and witnessed what to wear for the event. I pulled out a cornflower-blue mini dress, off-the-shoulder with an open back. Aubree chooses a red jumpsuit with a gold belt in between.

After trying it on, we both paid for it and left the store. Aubree and I said our goodbyes and went on to our separate ways.

Back home, Jason was preparing himself for the event tonight by grooming with a staff of spa. They were scramming around in circles, helping around Jason to make him look good for the event.

''Hey honey, you're home.''

''Wh-- what is all this?''

''Just preparing, that's all.''

''A little much don't you think?'' I laughed.

''Nope not even one bit,'' he smiled.

He got up from his seat and walked up to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"So, what exactly is the event for?" I asked.

"Charity, as usual. I'm the guest speaker."

"Guest speaker huh?"

"Yes, my love and I would love for you to be there."

"Of course, I would be there," I took a step closer to him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Good," he smirked. "You should get ready," he whispered to my ear.

"Okay," I whispered back. "By the way, is your sister going to be there, I want to tell her the news."

"Unfortunately, she's not going to be there. She's going through it with Caesar. I haven't really gotten the chance to see if they're okay. I thought maybe she needs the space, you know."

"Yeah, I understand."

"Alright baby, we can't stand around too long, let's get this show on the road!"

"Alright, captain!"

It was seven in the afternoon when we arrived at the Serenity event. The event was in downtown LA at the Vibana.

In the ballroom, Jason and I met up with Cameron and Aubree who were standing next to the alcohol bar.

''Hey, you two! Looking good together,'' said Cameron, handshaking with Jason and gave me a quick hug.

''Thanks, man, it's packed tonight,'' Jason said.

''Yeah, there's been a buzz about Serenity having plenty of sponsorships, Luke Ward from BostonTech was able to promote some too.''

''That's huge.''

''Yeah.''

''Vi, wanna hang?'' Aubree asked in a whisper.

''Sure," I replied.

She extended her arm out and we both walked away from the boys to have a close-talk to yourself.

''You look cute tonight, who are you trying to impress?'' I jokingly asked.

''For my man and you of course.''

''Ha. I can't believe there are so many people here. Jason is going to be speaking soon I can't even how he's feeling right now.''

She chuckled. ''I think he'll be just fine, besides he's a billionaire, what could possibly go wrong?''

I let out a soft laugh and drastically frowned when I saw an average-height black girl walked in from the entrance. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she was coming towards my direction.

I squint my eyes and saw her coming closer to me. She made a small smile and turned right, and suddenly I became numb.

''Wow, her dress is really cute,'' Aubree said taking a sip of her drink.

''Yeah, I guess,'' I said in a monotone.

''What's wrong hun?''

''That's Danielle Combs, Jason's ex-girlfriend.''
