Jason POV
''Ten weeks pregnant, we got a very healthy baby in there,'' Dr.Basak said. He turned off the ultrasound and walked over to a small desk, gathering some papers and wrote a small note, handing it over to me.
''Here you go Mr.Vella, next appointment is an exciting one, we get to see if it is a girl or boy.''
''Thank you so much Dr.Basak, it means a lot to me.''
''Of course, anything else you need?''
''No, it's fine. Thank you.''
''Have a good one,'' he responds with a smile and left me alone with Violet. She placed her cardigan on and went over to me with a hug.
''Mwah,'' she said, kissing me on the lips. ''I can't wait for the gender, this is exciting!"
''Me too baby,'' I said, holding the door for the two of us. We left the doctor's and went over to my Lambo outside in the parking lot. ''So baby, I was hoping if you don't mind of me going out tonight with Cam and Caesar. You don't have to worry we're going to be at Cameron's place, I wanted to let you know if you're going to be okay with that.''
''Of course. I think you should take a break from this baby stuff, aha.''
''Yeah. I sure do. Ready to go home?''
''Yes, I'm ready.''
----
After dropping off Violet, I drove over to Cameron's house. There, I met up with the boys at Cameron's little gym area and started to work out.
We were blasting rap and R&B music, doing cardio and talking about our relationships. Cameron was venting about his little fight with Aubree and how it went left when they argued about some type of movie to watch.
''--Can you believe it? Over some weird-ass movie? I mean goodness my girl is tough nails.''
Caesar whistle. ''Ouch, sounds like she's hard to handle,'' he giggled.
''Yeah, I mean I don't know I had to give some space before I was going to spazz out.''
''The other day Violet and I were arguing and out of nowhere she broke down and cried,'' I said.
''Wait, for real? What did you say?'' Caesar asked.
''Literally nothing, I guess my tone got her upset and next thing you know she cried.''
''That's the beauty of being pregnant, you get mood swings,'' Cameron added.
I chortled. ''Yeah, I guess so.''
''I don't know what to say with me and Jesscia,'' Caesar said.
''What do you mean by that?''
''--Yeah, I thought you two were doing okay,'' I replied after Cameron.
''It hasn't been easy for the both of us. It's just constant fight and honestly, sometimes I ask myself how do we get here.''
''You guys are fighting for a reason, right? I mean that's what marriage is, you guys go through obstacles and it's up to you and your partner to find common ground and move forward,'' I said.
''Yeah, but, it's hard. I don't want to give up though, Jessica is the love of my life and I don't know what I'll do without her.''
As soon as Caesar finished his sentence, his phone rings. ''Hello? Jes? Woah, Woah, slow down baby I can't hear you. What? How? Okay, okay. Alright,'' he whispered and sheds a tear.
''What happened?'' Cameron asked.
''Jason...''
''What? What's happening?''
''It's Nonna, she had a heart attack.''
