Jason POV

''You expect me to lend you fifteen thousand dollars? Are you out of your damn mind?'' I scolded at Sasha.

She stood there, gloomed and desperate for me to pay off her messy drama between her and the ex-boyfriend. This girl is fucking delusional to think I would pay her money for something that I have no damn control of.

What the hell I was thinking to date her in the first place?

''Please, Jason, you're the only person that I can depend on ---''

''--You really think that I want to help you and your little thief boyfriend?''

''We were drunk Jason.''

''That's no fucking excuse! You don't steal a fifteen-thousand dollar painting, what were you thinking?''

''Jason, it was a mistake, okay, I have to pay for the fine and if you can please loan me I swear I can pay you back just give a month or so--''

I was too pissed off to argue.

I tried to tell myself I didn't know what was wrong with me, but that was a lie. I knew exactly what was wrong. Fucking Violet. Or, more accurately, not fucking Violet.

At the thought, I groaned, putting my head down on my desk.

I didn't need Violet to get off of my mind. The problem was, I wanted her for so much more than that.

Thinking of it made my head hurt so much. I wasn't thinking straight at all and here comes my ex-girlfriend making things worse.

''You should leave," I said finally looking at her.

''Jason.''

''Leave. Now. I'm not repeating myself.''

Sasha sheds a tear. ''I thought you cared,'' she whispered.

''I don't, and I never will. Now get the fuck out of my office before I would have you banned from here.''

Her eyes pooled with tears, running down on her nose all the way down to her bottom lips. She continually nodded her head then leaves the office to myself.

I sighed in relief, reevaluating how and why we ended up together. There are certain people in my life that I wish I can erase, and she is one of them.

Yes, I know, I should let it go. But how should I if this girl is crawling back to my life. Matter fact, what's the point if she's close-friends with Jessica?

KNOCK
KNOCK
KNOCK

''Come in,'' I sighed, taking peppermint to cool off my frustration.

Entering, Violet came in slowly with a box and papers in her arms. She placed them down and hands me over the box.

''What's this?'' I asked.

''P.O. Boxes over at Clinton,'' she lends me over the paper as I took out my pen and signed it. I looked at her, asking myself why I was so determined to win over her.

''So out of curiosity, why don't you want to go out with me?'' I asked.

''Why'd you ask?''

''Curious.''

She risked a sidelong glance at me before her eyes skittered away. ''I don't date.''

''You don't date? At all? Are you into women?''

''Why would I be into women when I was bouncing on your dick?''

I grinned devilishly. I shrugged. ''I'm just trying to figure you out. You don't date at all?''

"I don't have time for social life.''

"Everyone has time for a social life,'' I said, knowing it was true. She was busy, so was I, but I least I still managed to get out of the office.

''I don't.''

''Then it's not me you like, it's dating in general.''

''I haven't been on many dates,'' she admitted. ''But they've always been a waste time.''

''That's because you haven't gone out with me.''

She laughed.

My ego might have suffered from her laughter, but the sound was unexpectedly beautiful. Her voice cools into a crisp and clear transformation as her brown eyes sparkled through the blinds.

''There's nothing I can say to change your mind?'' I asked.

She shrugged. ''I'm sorry, not interested to be your flavor of the week.''

''Flavor of the week?''

She smirked and walked away from me as I caught myself staring at her bubble butt swaying from left and right.

Wow.

Flavor of the week?

What the fuck does that even mean?

-----

[private gym, 2 hours later...]

''Haha, she said flavor of the week?!'' Caesar laughed as he passed me a towel
''Haha, she said flavor of the week?!'' Caesar laughed as he passed me a towel.

We were in my private gym in my home, doing cardio workouts together. Since Cameron left earlier, I was stuck with Caesar catching up with each other and talked about the incident I had with Violet.

I still can't believe she said that to me.

''Yes, can you believe her?''

''I don't know dude, that sounds... pretty harsh if I'm being honest,'' he chuckled.

I couldn't hold myself but to laugh with him. ''Yeah, I know.''

''So, what? You like her or something?'' He teased me with a poke on my stomach.

YES

''No, it's just a formal take her on a date. You know?''

''Ahh, I see. Here's a thing, you're her boss and she's is the assistant. You want to take it easy on her before it goes out-of-control.''

''How?''

''I don't know, just take on step at a time I guess.''

''It's not easy as you think.''

''Well you're gonna have to get used to it then,'' he laughed, opening the door for us to walk out of the gym.

He turned to me and continued to say ''Listen, there's been a study that shows that most couples bond through repeated interactions before they ever go out on a date. So notice her patterns, try to run into them regularly. Or exchange texts on a consistent basis.'''

''So, in other words, be a gentleman? Take it slow?"

''Yeah, that's up to you though.''

He walked passed me and went over to the kitchen to grab a snack and water.

I heaved a sigh.

This is harder than I think it was.
