Violet POV

[ 2 weeks later...]

Exhaustion clouded my eyes as I practically staggered into the kitchen for a much-needed cup of coffee. I flicked the coffee machine on and threw my hands onto my hips before smiling at Aubree, as she was whining on her phone with her aunt.

''Okay make sure you take care of Peaches and don't forget the food is in the storage,'' she said. She heaved a rough sigh and shake her head in disappointment.

''Everything's okay?'' I asked.

''You know sometimes I ask myself. How is Auntie Rain even my aunt?''

I chortled. ''Awh come on Bre, she's cute.''

''Oh no honey she's not,'' she replied, laughing at me. Aubree stood up from the chair and walked her way over to me and grabs a cup of coffee.

''So, how long is this San Fransico trip?'' She asked.

''About two days, it's short but it's worth getting out of L.A. for a while.''

''Have you thought about the Paris trip?''

I heaved a sigh. ''I don't know Bre.''

She wined. ''Vi,'' she dragged my name in a whining tone.

''I'll think about it.''

''Well, I asked you a few weeks back.''

''You really want me to go huh?'' I smirked.

''Yes! That's the point. Please, Vi, it's just you and me on this journey, traveling to Paris. You know I miss the adventure time with Vi and Bre.''

We both glared at each other for a quick second and burst out of laughter.

''Okay, okay, fine, I'll go.''

''Really?''

''Yeah, besides, I could take a break, clear my head and I don't know life live to the fullest."

''I feel like a proud parent,'' she smiled.

I responded with a laugh when my phone went off to my alarm. Looking down, I realize that it was time for me to go to LAX to go to San Fransico.

''Guess it's the time right?'' Aubree said, grabbing my keys from the key holder along with her purse and coffee.

''Yep, it's time.''

I was in the bar, engaging with Sadie and our sponsors from today's Fashion show. Gary Chesterfield, of course, was complimenting my work ethics for the first day.

Everyone around me was talking like no other, but I stood still in quiet mode, as my eyes gazed to another direction, finding myself lurking at Jason.

He was wearing an all gray suit, leaning against the pole with his phone on his hand. His friend, who I remembered, came over to him and begin to talk with each other.

I shook my head, snapping out of my stalking moment and excused myself from the group.

Going to the highchair, I sat down and took out my phone and ordered my self a Margarita.

I glanced my eyes over the framed photographs I had dotted around the bar, noticing how they all told a story. I had plenty of people in my life. I wasn't lonely, but I still yearned for the whole damn picture. I couldn't help but want it all...

I needed to force myself up before sadness totally consumed me.

With a sigh, I got up from my highchair with my drink and started to walk through the double doors towards the rooftop. The wind was whistling through my hair as She Loves Control was blasting through the intercom.

I sighed and took another sip of the margarita.

''-- Beautiful view?'' A male voiced echoed through. My body jolt in fear and I felt the goosebumps rapidly coming through my arm. That voice, the deep voice that apparently turned me on was Jason.

''Jason,'' I whispered.

''Hey,'' he smiled.

I rolled my eyes, anger careering through my veins, recalling why I didn't want to be around him again. "What are you doing here?"

''I was invited, very much a rhetoric question Violet.''

''Whatever,'' I sighed and walked passed him. He dragged my arm and pulled me closer to him. I felt his body compressing against mine, feeling his heart rate speeding each second our eyes meet.

''Violet, I want to talk to you about everything that happened that night.''

''Why?''

''Because I want to make things right between us, Violet if you can give me the chance to tell you maybe you'd have a better understanding.''

"Better understanding?'' I questioned.

''Yes, why don't you meet me at my suite at night, and have a closure between us.''

His sparkling eyes were irresistibly charming, glowing brightly under the stars, and I felt my skin grow hot wherever he glanced as if bathed by warm sunlight

"Okay, fine, what's your suite?''

''208, last floor. I'll be waiting for you.''
