Violet POV

Months and months have passed and I haven't heard or seen Jason.

He moved on, and so did I.

But, He really, and I mean really moved on. He went back with one of his exes Danielle Combs, a pretty black girl who is very obtuse about everything and is well known for having a conceited bitchy attitude. I know this information because a blog post has exposed her since Jason and she was ''talking.''

Jessica has been trying to reach out to me and want to make amends but I've always denied her quest. I don't want to make things more awkward than it really is. Jason and I are done, and all I care about is doing what's best for me.

Even if it hurts me that he's with that stuck-up girlfriend of his.

Lately, I've gotten myself a new job as an executive fashion stylist over at Coast Apparel which is near the north-western side of Los Angeles. I've been working there for about four months and so far things have been good.

The only downfall of working there is it is owned my Vella Empire.

I know, I know.

Coast Apparel is one of Vella's huge profit fashion company. It was the only chance for me to extend my career and have the opportunity to make a living, rather than working at a retail or office-clerk.

I had to do it for me.

''So tell me, how are you feeling about the Paris trip, I wanna go so bad Vi! It can get you out of your shell, live a little since you've been hiding out lately,'' Aubree said to me. We sat down on the couch, opening a bag of Skinny popcorn after a long day of working out.

''I don't know Bre,'' I said, crisscrossing my legs and placing my hair in a high messy bun.

''Violet Johnson, come on, don't you think you could... I don't know, get out of the country and take a vacation? You've been acting like a couch potato ever since that dude---''

''--Jason''

''--Still calling him a dude. Matter fact, asshole sounds better.''

''Bre.''

''What?!'' She shrieked. ''I'm serious if he cared he would've done something about it, possibly own up to his shit and explained what happened.''

''Well, he doesn't care so... yeah. Can we watch something else?''

We both looked back at the tv as it displays Big Mouth on Netflix. Talking pubes, talking pillow, teenage kids and their hormones, it's quite hilarious but very disturbing at the same time.

''What do you want to watch?'' She said, scrolling through Netflix.

''I don't know anything but Big Mouth,'' I replied, eating a popcorn.

''Okay, then we can watch You.''

''Fine with me.''

Aubree and I begin to watch You on Netflix and already we were hooked by the series.

The series was all kinds of fucked up with suspense events happening to Joe. I mean this guy literally would do anything to be with her, and it was quite scary how it can reflect in real life.

You know, the main concern about 'YOU' is not that Beck doesn't have curtains, but more how she can't see Joe lurking ACROSS THE ROAD from her curtainless house.

Jesus!

After binge-watching You with Aubree I called it a night. I said my goodbye and went over to my car outdoors, driving back to my apartment.

There, I took a quick shower and crawled back to bed. I placed my hair up and sighed roughly, placing my bonnet on top of my hair and looked through the reminders that my boss sent me through the mail.

My heart dropped when I saw Jason's name on the reminder bullet point next to a dinner event that Coast Apparel was hosting.

Special Guest: Jason Vella

Coast Apparel's launching a fifth annual clothing collection at Perch, dinner by 8 p.m.

''Shit,'' I whispered.

Summertime magic was blasting through in the rooftop of the restaurant Perch. I was in the restroom fixing my black and white striped two-piece set I bought over at Forever 21.

My hair was in a high ponytail, letting all the curls frizzed a tiny bit adding with light makeup and jewelry.

After checking myself out, I walked out of the restroom and met up with my boss, the committee over in the rooftop as everyone was drinking and eating the appetizers.

''Violet, hi, you're here,'' said Sadie, my boss. She hugs me tight as her ginger curls swift under my nose, smelling the cherry-blossom perfume she was wearing.

''Yeah, I made it,'' I replied with a small smile.

''Here you go,'' she hands me over a glass of champagne.

''Thanks.''

''Guys, this is Violet Johnson, the executive Fashion Stylist over at Coast Apparel,'' she said introducing me to her business friends.

''No wonder Coast Apparel has been approving lately, you have some quite taste right there,'' a middle-aged man said to me. He was a bit tall with a string of gray hair.

''Thank you, I enjoy being a fashion stylist in the apparel it's been quite entertaining, to say the least,'' I said in a sarcastic tone.

The guy and two other women broke off of laughter.

''Well, keep it up Missy you might end being a CEO yourself,'' the petite woman said, she raised her glass to me and took a drink as the rest did the same.

I sighed and copied and took a look around the venue. Taking another round, I went over to the bar on the far right-hand side.

Sitting down, I took off my wallet out of my purse and placed it down as the bartender quickly replied ''Oh, you don't have to pay.''

''I don't?'' I questioned.

''Yeah, actually----''

--- I'll be paying for it,'' a male voice interrupted.

I look up towards the male voice that has just spoken to me and... I'm dumbfounded.

''Jason?'' I whispered.
