'That's typical of your father, he's more of a coward than a king, I just want one thing from you," a long pause,
'What is it mother?" She inches closer to her, 'I would do anything you ask me to." The pleasant curving of her lips made her mother relaxed,
'Do not hesitate to kill anyone that tries to oppose you; at this stage we're in it's kill or be killed. I know you'll make a fantastic Queen." She pulls her into an embrace.
'It feels like you're leaving me with all these words," she hugs her even tighter, 'you never gave me my birthday gift, we couldn't even celebrate my birthday…." She wasn't happy, she had turned 18 two days ago and everyone was busy worrying about the war.
Octavia gleams before pulling out her hands, and her flute appears out of a swirl of roses,
'Happy birthday my gem, I hope you like it?" She smirks, for something that beautiful it was near to impossible that someone wouldn't at least like it. A rose flute embroidered with the finest designs made of gold and silver,
'I love it…..thank you mother…..I've always wanted a flute," her eyes glistened with tears,
'And I also have another gift for you…." She digs her hand into her chest only for it to pass through her flesh, Arcadia is astonished at the feat, 'relax I almost got it, it's been with me since I left my clan, well we can say I've always been the guardian." She laughs a little to pull out a glowing rose made of magical essence, 'I hoped that one day I would Mark our territory with this but unfortunately life never gave me the chance, now I give it to you."
'Mother you're sounding strange….. you're still alive and healthy so why can't you keep it?" She didn't like the shift in responsibility that was all so sudden.
'It doesn't want me anymore," she chortles, 'just keep it dear, you need it more than I do, it would give you power, it was the reason your father married me but he was never able to find it." He pushes it to her chest and it sinks into her being. Her eyes glow magenta before returning to their Crystal blue nature, 'no one would be able to find it unless you show them. Be careful of who you show it to."
Time skips and Arcadia is taking a walk round the palace, everyone was already leaving for their lives but she was rather reserved, the king was also nowhere to be seen but it wasn't her business. Her heart was telling her to find her Master, and he finds him gazing at the stars in the training grounds.
The level of attachment she always felt to him was astronomical, it felt like he was made for her, more like she was made from him. Their similarities were impeccable,
'Master?" She sits beside him breaking him out of the trance,
'Arcadia….what have you come here for? To find peace or do you already have it?" He smiles at the stars,
'Aren't you scared? Even a little?" She always admired his courage,
'No, I have nothing to regret, and I've been in countless wars," he laughs to himself, 'this one is no different." He is as nonchalant as a child, as carefree as a bird,
'What if you die?" She needed an answer to that question, he thinks for a little while before turning to her,
'But you'll be there to protect me," he is testing her patience
'What if I can't protect you? What if I fail everyone?" She speaks the words in her heart and he suddenly understood everything,
'Arcadia you're better than this, stronger than anyone that you would ever come across, even that small ass alpha," she laughs at his slander, 'I know you will overcome." He pulls her close for a hug, it was her first war, it was normal she would be nervous.
'Thank you…..father…." She didn't know when the word slipped from her lips but it was forever in Xerxes' heart. Forever.
'Fire!!! Fire everywhere!!!"
'Fire??!" Her eyes were filled with fear but he cupped her cheeks to calm her down, 'so soon….mother—" she was already panicking,
'Your mother is fine, she would be the one to kick this off, I'm with you, I always will be, don't be afraid to kill anyone and everyone that opposes you." His words light a new wave of courage in her and she draws out her fans, he picks up his sword and they run to defend their kingdom.
Mace had initiated the battle and he recklessly killed anyone that raised a sword at his head, his main target was the princess, he would make her go on her knees by all cost.
Not even up to an hour of the war, blood had been spilled everywhere and Mace's men where carting away wolves to be used a slaves, they were so many compared to what Arcadia had. But they were dealing damage irrespective.
Especially the Queen. Anyone that heared her voice died in an instant, and it was a serious disadvantage to Mace. As he was losing soldiers like a bucket of water with a large hole.
She beheads one of their men only to defend herself from Czar's sword,
'You wish to challenge me?" She laughed him to scorn before she pushed him away, to block another strike from Loki,
'Surrender yourself Queen, and we would spare what's left of your kingdom." He imposes his strength on her and she slides away to slash his arm, blood oozing generously from the fresh cut,
'I would prefer to die than surrender!!" She is delighted at the sight of his blood spilling, both men take steps back to clear the ground, 'you will not be able to tame this Luna!!!" Her power was beginning to consume her but she would take down anyone that dared touch her gem. Loki and Czar readied their stances, they knew it won't be easy to take the Queen down.
'Mother!! Mother!!" Arcadia ran at full speed, looking for her mother, she feared that she would've lost her, the image of her dead body kept flashing in her mind for some reason.
She beholds Xerxes killing wolves like a talent, he was defending himself properly until someone raised their sword at his head from behind,
'Father!!!" She super speeds to block the sword Midway, and she knew she had found her life long enemy. Mace grits his teeth in anger as he tried to overpower the princess but she was refusing to let anything happen to the only father figure She had,
'How dare you reject me?! Die Arcadia!!"
