Chapter 16

He eventually overpowers her and throws one of her blades off course, it flies into the chest of one of his allies and he dies instantly,
'I would rather die than surrender to you!!" She throws her fist across his face and he is sent several feet back, Arcadia is surprised at her own strength, she had never done that before in her entire life,
'Arcadia!!" Xerxes defends her from a blade, she kicks the attacker in the abdomen making him stumbles back and Xerxes draws a huge mark on his chest with his sword, he topples to the ground and dies.
Mace is coming with a bloody lip and he aims for her head, she does a cartwheel away and kicks him in his calf making him go to his knees,
'Is this the strength you were boasting of?" She cracks his skull with her fist, she had the strength of a thousand Lunas, 'how dare you attack my father?! Who do you think you are?!!" Another strike to his head and she was making him bleed, he had never been so helpless in the hand of a woman. She's about to punch him again until she narrowly evades an axe, she turns to the wielder and sees golden orbs,
'Father?" She's heartbroken that he could've raised his weapon at his own blood, her eyes well with tears as he charges for her, she couldn't move or right back, he just wanted to kill her.
Xerxes blocks his strike and stares him dead in the eyes,
'You will not touch my daughter!!" They brawl for a moment before he is pushed back by the king, with a heavy swing he plans his demise but Arcadia holds his giant Axe with her bare hands, her face stained with tears and blood, her eyes held no emotions,
'I knew you were planning on betraying us, why?!" She screams at him and he is sent back at the force of her voice, an ability she inherited from her mother, 'traitors do not belong to this kingdom!!" She runs to him with all the anger in her heart, her vision was filled with all the moments of her growing up, with all the times he was always absent in her life.
She didn't need him anymore, and she would end him there and then.
That is until she is kicked in the side, it's so forceful she coughs out her own blood as she connects to the column, she writhes to her knees and she could see vengeance in Mace's eyes,
'Your battle is with me, I would take you dead or alive!!" He swings his sword at her but I doesn't hit her as he is speared by a wolf, he defends his face from the sharp teeth until the wolf is kicked off him.
She growls angrily at him as her magenta hair stood up, she jumps at him but he throws her off course, she isn't done there as she recovers quickly to bite him in the leg, he is forced to kick her away and she hits a column hard, she stands up nonetheless and goes for the alpha once more,
'You just don't know when to quit do you?!" He growls before transforming into a wolf himself, they battle but he is having an advantage over her since her back was injured and she began to limp,
'Mother!!" She knew it was the Queen from the hair color, she rises to her feet to shift into wolf form and she Spears Mace, scratching and biting at him relentlessly, she is infuriated for him attacking her mother.
He kicks her off him with his hind legs and growls at her, his eyes had turned a dangerous red and hers were completely magenta. They jump at each other again and roll to the throne room, scratching and kicking as they fought for dominance.
'Octavia, are you okay?" He goes to help her up, she goes back to human mode, her clothes are torn and she is more or less naked, her soft skin has been covered with bruises as she managed to make Czar and Loki retreat for a while but it came at a price, she was exhausted,
'It's been so long since I had a good fight, I feel old." She is still able to joke even though she knows she's dying slowly, she turns to see Magnus getting to his feet, 'destructive melody!!" She throws the attack at him but he quickly evades it, 'that bastard won't just die!" She rises to her feet and morphs her fans our of her magic.
'Octavia no!!" He pulls her back before she murdered her husband,
'Let me go Xerxes!!" The pain that filled her orbs were intense, 'he tried to kill my daughter!!" She began to cry as she grit her teeth, she screams and it spreads throughout the halls, sending everyone on their knees, she was angry and she began to charge towards Magnus, 'die you fool!!"
Both wolves were bloodied and tired, panting heavily but when it was too much for them, they were forced to revert back to their human self but still kept their guards up,
'Mother?!!" She heard when the Queen screamed, 'mother!!" She is distracted and Mace sees it as an opportunity to attack, his sword trails her back and she feels her blood and life slowly leave her body, memories flashing in her eyes.
She had been hit.
She drops to the ground and the blood poured out at an alarming rate, he had a satisfied smirk on his face,
'Beg me and I will spare your life." He pulls her up by her hair and admires her beauty, 'you can never defeat an Alpha, you're a woman, always remember that." She opens her mouth to say something but she barely has any strength left, 'any last words?" He loved her present state, it was delightful, it was where she belonged.
'Destructive……me….body." and an explosion occurs.
Mace is sent out of the castle and she collapses to her knees, that was too much power expensed. She crawls to where her mother was, hoping she was okay.
Octavia was bent on killing Magnus herself, she did not stop attacking him until he got tired and began to run, she wanted his head on a golden platter, and if not, she would not rest. Magnus did his best to defend himself against the strikes of Xerxes and his ex wife but there was only so much he could handle.
He knocks her fan out of her hand but Xerxes was there to block his next strike, she picks up a stray sword and slashes his arm, making him groan loudly in pain and Xerxes delivers a kick to his torso, sending him to the ground. Octavia was bloodthirsty, she would only rest when she saw him dead.
As she neared him, she is stopped by Loki's spear,
'Surrender Queen, you cannot win this battle!" Loki imposes his strength on her and she is already tired,
'Take my head instead, but not my dignity!!" She does her banshee scream but this time around Loki uses his protective magic to defend himself but he still skids feet away because of the force, 'so I see you have some tricks up your sleeves?" She smiles wickedly before turning her attention to him.
'It's kill or be killed, and I refuse to die." Their weapons clash and she tosses her energy at him which he had to evade and give her room, she aims for his arm but he blocks it, she aims for his leg but he blocks it once more,
'Die already!!" She was only getting angrier as he refused to be killed,
'I will not do that!!" He pushes her back and his spear goes into her arm, he is happy but when she begins to smile it raises a concern,
'You have a lot to learn child." She screams and his ears begin to protest,
'Ahhhhh!!" The pain is unimaginable as his ears begin to ooze blood, he was dying a very slow and painful death.
She only stops when she sees Czar planning a surprise attack on her lover, 'Xerxes!!!" She morphs her fan and throws it at him, and luckily for her it runs across his face, giving him a nasty scar, she leaves Loki to die a slow death and punches Czar straight in the eye.
No one would touch him.
'You saved my life." He couldn't believe it, she smiles a little as her heart raced, she was so scared, she thought she lost him,
'I would always—" she is cut short as a blade impaled her.
'Mother!!!"
