Chapter 8

'You're looking too beautiful today Octavia." The Queen praises herself as she did her hair, smiling at her mirror, her smiles disappears when the door to her room opens and she sees her husband staring at her with a grim look, 'why welcome Magnus, you don't look too good? Are your ambassadors fighting again?" She laughs at her corny joke.
'Octavia I never expected this from you." His arms are crossed and he decides to close the door, she notices his gesture and she pulls her fan closest to her,
'Neither did I Magnus, but if you can lie then so can I." She rises from her seat to look him straight in the eye, 'I will not hide anything from you anymore but I will warn you, I will not hesitate to hang you on a tree if you do anything to my daughter or Xerxes." She snears at him.
'Don't you feel ashamed of yourself? You're a married woman and you're having an affair with someone who is younger than you with over 10 years, you're cheap and disgusting." He throws mud on her character.
'Say whatever you want Magnus, even the Goddess knows that when it comes to holiness I'm purer than you are. You've been lying since you were born and we won't fall for it anymore. I've warned you Magnus," she brings out her bladed fan, 'if anything happens to my world I would make sure to erase your from existence. I've respected you because you are my husband but the moment you cross the line then I would do the same thing I did to your mother."
He grits his teeth in pure anger,
'You would suffer the same death she did." She moves past him but he grabs her arm forcefully,
'I would make sure you regret your words today Octavia, you should never challenge an alpha." She snatches her arm back from him and glares him to death,
'And you should never challenge a Luna, do not underestimate us because we are women, we kill more than you can ever imagine." She points to the tree outside the window, he turns his vision to the tree and he sees three of his soldiers hanging from it, his heart wrenches because of the fear, 'I have warned you Magnus, don't touch Xerxes. Or that could be you."
He had no words left in him, he married a devil,
'I would take my leave, have a wonderful day my husband." She gives a mock bow before walking out with a triumphant but also evil and sonorous laughter.
He turns to the dead bodies on the tree, he would have to be very careful if he was dealing with her, she was more dangerous than he thought her to be.
'Very good Arcadia!! I admire your persistence this morning." He praises her as she huffs loudly, she had successfully executed one of his favorite techniques,
'Well I would do anything to make you proud." She straightens her form,
'Arcadia, a day would come that you would be made to tear your enemy into parts, that is the day you would prove your worth as a Luna." His words begin to worry her, 'you would one day have to fight a powerful alpha of some tough clan, but you're a woman, and from my experience, you're stronger than any alpha."
'Master…..what is the matter? Why are you suddenly speaking this way?" She wanted to know the reason but he was too distraught to tell her anything,
'Your father wants to get you married?" He turns to her, her blue eyes cutting his,
'I don't want to get married." She says truthfully, 'at least not to a stranger." Her eyes are hard,
'That's good, you shouldn't." He says it as simple as counting one two three, but his change in countenance still worries his student,
'Is there something you wish to tell me master? We don't hide anything remember?" She moves closer to him and he could see his daughter approaching him,
'Arcadia!!"
She stops and turns to see Magnus, he forces a smile and strides to her, holding her by her waist, she wonders what the sudden show of affection was for and the way he looked at Xerxes like they would start a war there and then,
'Are you done with your training? Your guest Is almost here." His words make her growl, 'you don't have a choice, I'm not requesting, I'm ordering."
'Arcadia, go with him, we can always continue later." He dismissed her before doing so for himself, he didn't want to look at his face,
'Very well, I would get ready then." She quickly leaves, superspeeding to her room to get herself dressed. She opened the door to see an extravagant dress on her bed, 'there is no way in wearing that." She spits on it before turning to her wardrobe, she needed something that spelt her.
She scatters the whole wardrobe but she couldn't decide on what to wear, and time was going. She sighs before turning to her bed, seeing another dress, a see-through backless red dress, tight and lovely on her form, it was adorned with stones and it had a rose on it.
'Mother…." It could've been no one else. She quickly puts it on with some heels and slides her fans in her bun, she stares at her mirror, a striking resemblance with the Queen, she was truly beautiful. She had magenta eyes that were as rare as a black moon. According to her mother they had hypnotizing powers and if stared at for too long could alter a person's thinking, giving her control to another man's mind.
She had never used that ability before but it was certainly something she would try one day. She wondered what it would be like to know the every thought of another person. With great power comes great responsibility; she would know what good and evil is in everyone's heart.
She would try it on master Xerxes first.
She giggles a little at the thought before applying a little color to her lips; it was now or never.
