Chapter 72

It was night time, and he just sat in the dark thinking about all the things those women did to him. He felt weak and useless, he felt like a toy that could be used whenever she pleased. He felt horrible.
No amount of soap or spring water would make him feel clean again, could it be what those girls feel.when they're taken to be used for pleasure? Whatever it was he would make sure he exacted revenge.
He looks to the sky, the moon was a beautiful crescent and he is reminded of his parents, he heaves a heavy sigh and grabs a rock, he throws it to the sky and waits for it to come back. It did. But his parents never did.
He pulls his knees to his chest as memories washed over him, he might have been different of he grew up with the love Arcadia had. Maybe he would have cared more,
'Brother?" Loki's voice startles him out of his thoughts, 'I've been looking for your everywhere," he places a hand on his shoulder and he realized his body felt cold, 'is everything okay?"
'Yes……I'm unsure Loki, it's been a few days and I feel I would never get back to where I was before she came into my life." He sighs again, grabbing the smooth pebble to throw it at the moon, it comes back and he catches it, 'Arcadia has broken me more than anyone has ever done so."
'Hmmm….." Loki looks at the sky, 'the moon is beautiful…." He tries to change the subject but Mace only hums, 'I believe this marks a special period for their tribe, the mating season." There is barely any life in his eyes, 'what did she do to you Mace?"
'It's…… embarrassing…." He hides his face in the space between his knees, 'she is the same Sheila right?" He asks out of the blue, Loki nods and moves his eyes to the sky again, 'you never wanted to tell me in the first place?"
'It's not that, I wanted to introduce you to her at a point, until she told me she worked for the Queen now. We fought but we got back together, but I hurt her during the war in a bid to protect you."
He moves closer to his elder brother and puts his head on his shoulder, 'do you believe I'm a cruel person?" His questions were becoming odd,
'You get unnecessarily angry, but you're not cruel, just sad." He teases him and this makes Mace smile, he punches his brother in his shoulder,
'You're an asshole." He swears at him before throwing another pebble in the sky, and this time Loki suspends it there with magic, 'I've always loved how different you are, you can do most things normal wolves can't." He smiles at the pebble that was covered in a green essence,
'Apparently Czar doesn't see me the way you do, but I never cared about him." He shrugs sheepishly, but Mace took it serious,
'What did he say now?" He wanted to bury someone's child,
'I'm just another witch, look Mace, it doesn't matter. What does matter is our escape plan." He looks at his collar and it glows green, 'I wonder why I was the only one given this?" He pouts a little,
'Because they know what you're capable of, they know you can vanish and leave a shadow to pretend it's you. If we decide to leave then they can always reach us because we would be on foot." He pulls the choker, 'it is fashionable." He remarks,
'Sheila is like that though," he laughs lightly, 'back to what we were discussing, the best way to defeat Arcadia is to take her power; without it you should be able to take her down."
'The power is inside of her, she wouldn't let it go so easily." He reminds and Loki smiles,
'I've been working on something," his hands morph a green sphere, 'the people of the rose tribe have seduction abilities either with their singing or gaze, but they are also the most susceptible to seduction." His grin is growing wider,
'What does that mean?" He was doing his best to catch up,
'Remember when sage Sativa told us that to defeat Arcadia she must start liking you? Weelll, she didn't tell us what way she must like you. Whether it's by physical attraction or a little bit of magic, she never stayed, either way you should be able to get the queen to open up to you more if you seduce her."
'There's no way I'm doing that, I don't even like her one bit now you want me to try to get close to her? And what if she reacts on natural instincts?" He hisses,
'Isn't that what you have always wanted?" Loki caught him there but he doesn't say anything to him, 'it's nothing big Mace, you just need to get her to open herself to you and then you can steal her power and take back our Kingdom."
'I do not like the idea of this," he had been through so much mentally, 'and what if it doesn't work and she realizes I'm deceiving her? She wouldn't hesitate to kill me." He strives to grab the pebble but Loki kept holding it higher,
'This is magic brother, she wouldn't be able to take her eyes off you," he does an idiotic grin to get his brother to vibe to the plan,
'But what about you?" He points out and Loki is flushed,
'I'll be fine!! It's just a simple spell, I'm not a kid anymore. I don't faint when I use my magic." He defends himself but Mace still mocks him to scorn, 'you're the only one that can do it since she's your mistress, we don't have a choice anymore."
'Very well, I hope I'm still considered as sexy." He jokes to himself and jumps up to grab the pebble, he smirks triumphantly until Loki began to make him float, 'hey!! Stop!!" Loki snickers at him and turns him upside down with his magic, 'Loki!!!" He tries to rip his head off but he is helplessly stuck in the air.
Loki loved toying with him this way.
'Madam, how is your headache now?" Azure was giving her a head massage after dinner but the ache in her brain refused to leave her,
'It's still hurting, please tell Conan to give me that medicine, I need it more than ever." She begs and Azure runs to fetch more of it, she groans loudly, 'I never knew growing a baby would be so difficult." She moans lightly as she felt a full pain in her head,
'I heard you were still not doing good."
She gets her eyes to glance at the owner of the voice,
'Asher…..it has been quite a while." She gets herself to sit from her bed,
'Yes it has, master has been going all out on me, it's the training grounds then to a Survival hunt in the forest then I'm too exhausted to do anything else." He drops to her bed after a long day, 'how are you and your baby doing?" He placed his palm on her forehead but retracted quickly due to the heat, 'is the baby cooking in there?"
'I don't even know anymore Asher, it's so stressful and the Queen has forbidden me from removing it while it is still young." She hisses but Asher isn't pleased,
'You can't kill and innocent child, the goddess won't be pleased with you. And you decided to sleep with him so you have to take care of your baby now, taking responsibility for your actions."
'He does not even know we have a baby, and I don't think he deserves to know." She folds her arms in anger,
'Sheila stop harbouring this hate, I'm sure Loki had apologized more than a thousand times and look at how the goddess decided to punish him? Tell him about it, it would give him relief to know that he is going to be a father."
'He doesn't deserve it. I will raise my child by myself and he can rot in hell." She spits, not wanting to remember how bad he hurt her.
'Sheila you're not the doing the right thing, you need to tell him the truth."
'I would never tell him he owns this child!!"
A bottle crashes to the ground and they both turn their heads to see who it was,
'I'm going to be a father?"
