Chapter 33

Sheila jumps to action and slices her fan deep into one of the men's arms, 'soldiers!!! Defend the Queen and Asher!! They must not touch them!!!" And with another swing of her fan, blood spills on her once innocent features.
The other soldiers jump into the live battle and push back the attackers from Arcadia and the nearly unconscious Asher, she turns to his eyes, they were losing their glitter,
'No, please, I can't lose another person." She is on the verge of tears and his lips curve into a small smile,
'I have fulfilled my duty…..it's better I died than you did….." He has pronounced himself a dead man but she didn't want that, not too soon,
'No!! Someone get a doctor!! Kill all of them!!! Do not spare any of them!!" She turns to her best man once more, his eyes were closing, 'nothing would happen to you, I won't let this happen." Her tears finally burst forth and stain his face, she couldn't lose anyone anymore.
She cries without restrictions as images of her mother's body flashed before her eyes, she would never forget that image. And then her father's head. She can't forget the war, she can't forgive it. She can't forgive Mace for everything he took from her. She bets its his men, they planned this attack,
'Ash….. please….a few more moments….just give me a few more moments with you…." She hugs his limp body as they slid to the ground, she was crying on him freely and she couldn't bare to see him go, 'please….a few more moments…." She begs him to stay alive for her and her essence began to eject from her body and Into his.
Sheila beheads her opponent and there's only one left, they keep him alive and she throws her foot against his side,
'Who sent you here?!" She pulls him up by his hair, 'answer me before I kill you!!" She throws him back to the ground but he has been trained not to talk, 'take him, whip him until he has no choice but to talk!" She commands and they rush to do her bidding, her head whips back to see Arcadia supporting Asher but they were glowing. A strange aura was around them.
Magenta essence evolved from her body to slowly be absorbed by his, her eyes widen in disbelief, her breathing becoming unstable,
'Reiki…… impossible…." She couldn't believe the princess had the sacred ability of their clan, only the sages were able to do such so how does she possess such power?
Asher lets out a distorted cough, his blood staining his Queens hands, his eyes flutter open and he sees her tears dropping on his cheek,
'My Queen……what….." He tries to sit up, one moment he is dead and the next he is seeing her crying, she gasps at his voice,
'You're alive!!!" She couldn't believe it and she began to cry even more, 'how dare you leave me that way?! Did I ask you to? If I don't tell you to die then you don't die!!" She pulls his hair and he cries in protest,
'Do not hurt me any further!" He snaps at her before coughing out more blood, he could still feel the knife inside of him and he was still bleeding profusely but he had no idea why he was still alive.
'Arcadia give him to me." Xerxes takes him from her hand but she is rather reluctant, her energy was still going into him and she had a feeling that if he was away from her it would stop, but she trusts her father so she let him go.
He takes his student and flips him on his stomach,
'Please be gen—Ahhh!!" It felt like his soul was sucked out of his body as Xerxes yanked the knife from his back, 'could you have done it slower?" He groans as he felt his heart rate lower a bit, he could see magenta whisps around him, 'what is this?"
'I don't……know….." She really didn't know, she was just doing it because she was afraid he would die if she stopped. She wasn't even sure how she was doing it. They were clueless until Sheila knelt down with them,
'It's Reiki my Queen, you're healing him by using your energy, you technically brought him back to life." She explains and rips part of her dress, 'use this to stop the blood master, I am not sure where the doctor is, but she is never around when you need her." Her eyes go deadpan and she looks at her Queen, 'he is alright now, you can stop."
'But I don't know how to stop." She admitted sheepishly, 'I don't even know how I did it in the first place, I didn't want him to die and I started crying and then this." She explains with sniffs in between,
'Hmm….." Xerxes touches her forehead, the space in between her eyebrows, just above her eyes and the energy begins to die down,
'How did you know master?" Sheila had a lot of questions for him after the feat, 'do you perform Reiki too?" This makes Xerxes laugh like a mad man,
'I wish, Octavia used to do it, she was my personal doctor whenever I came back from war. She said something like it was a spiritual connection and it can be broken when the pathway is disrupted. It happens from the spiritual eye, the third eye, which is where I touched her." He wraps his lazy student before slapping his ass, 'you're meant to be alive so you can protect the Queen, stop trying to die so early." He nags.
'I thought I'm supposed to risk my life for her!" Asher was confused, and annoyed, what kind of master was he? He didn't want to be the best man anymore if he can't even risk his life and be praised for it.
'But…..how did she do it in the first place?" Sheila couldn't understand, 'my mother told me that it takes serious training to perform Reiki."
'Well, those who are gifted activate it at the age of awakening, and she just did." He explains and lifts Asher on his feet, putting his weight on his body, Arcadia and Sheila rise with them to take the wounded soldier to rest,
'Everyone you can leave now! It is not safe if I continue to accommodate you here, guards would accompany you back to your homes!! Thank you for attending." She dismissed her guests before following her father up the stairs to make sure Asher was well treated.
The party is crashed but fortunately it was only a soldier that was wounded, and the last of the men that was spared was being severely tortured until he was forced to open his mouth.
The doctor applies medicine on his wounds and also receives and earful from Sheila on how slack she is. Xerxes took Arcadia outside to get some fresh air,
'What a Coronation!" He leans on the palace railings, an expansive view of the palace gardens and the whole land could be admired from the balcony on Which they relaxed. His daughter heaves a very heavy sigh,
'Mace had refused to let me live my life In peace, he keeps coming for me one way or the other. I'm sure one of my own must have helped his men get in." She was broken to her soul, her mother always told her wolves were loyal creatures but she can't even count the number of times she had been backstabbed.
She turns to her father who was admiring the moon in her beauty, 'you didn't tell me anything either." She breaks the silence between them and it forces him to look at her. He takes a very heavy sigh,
'There are a lot of things haven't told you yet….." Her orbs were shaky,
'I'm ready to listen to them all.
