Chapter 55

Soldiers were being killed by a mysterious force that hunted the palace walls, she was moving as fast as sound and she slew anyone that dared to stop her. She sights a rose and bends to pick it, she takes in its scent and her eyes widen,
'An ally, I need to tell the Queen immediately." Sheila dashes away taking the rose with her, Arcadia must hear of this.
She throws her blade against the chest of a warrior and he is defeated, she searches him for any weapon she could use and she carries his dagger for emergencies. Her head whips behind her and she sees Sheila running towards her,
'What is it?" She holds both her shoulders and the assassin exhumes a rose, Arcadia stretches her hand to collect the delicate material and when she inhaled the scent, tears welled up in her eyes, 'mo….mother….mother?!" She couldn't believe this, no, it couldn't be. It must be playing tricks on her. She takes another sniff and the tears finally break through,
'The Queen is alive?!" Sheila didn't believe it but the twist in her stomach took her to her knees,
'Sheila!! What is wrong with you??!" Arcadia was worried sick as her half sister had suddenly become weak,
'It's nothing my Queen, we need to set our people free and destroy this place once and for all. The Queen must have been here to help us, these are all checkpoints to where we should be." She manages to get to her feet with Arcadia's help, 'I will look for other roses and set the captives free, you need to find Conan and recover the seal."
'He would pay for all he has taken from me." She draws her fan and they go separate ways.
Conan is running away from the scene of battle, occasionally stabbing Mace's men in weak points leading to an easy kill. He is running as fast as he could until he bumps into a body, it was rather stuff and this makes him land on his bum. He looks up to see silver orbs and he hasn't been happier before in his entire life. He embraces his brother,
'I thought you wouldn't come back for me!!" He kicks his shin and Asher whelps in pain, 'what if I died?!" He nags on and on,
'You can't die, you always find a way to live." He smirks through his pain, 'we need to get you out of here before the Queen sees you, where is the decree?" He asks for it hurriedly before things got even messier between Arcadia and him. He removes it from his bag and dumps it with Asher, he checks it and nods, 'good, we need to get you to safety." He leads him to one of the underground passages that Octavia had marked,
'How did you find this place?" Conan already knew but he wanted to hear it from him,
'Sheila, she found it," he responds quickly and hides him safely, he's about to leave until Conan stops him,
'Queen Octavia is the one who found all the passages and secret entrances, she's alive."
Everything burned in his sight, it was exactly the dream he had, he could see himself killing everyone he could but he couldn't fight everyone. Not all of them. He calls for more men and they defend him with their lives, killing Arcadia's men. Czar runs to his rescue and beheads a soldier that was about to attack him,
'Master, we need to get you out of here!! They will not stop until they have taken you!!" He drags Mace by the arm but is stopped by Xerxes stained with blood from head to toe, swinging his death bringer,
'And do you think we would let you escape so easily?" He had a crazed look on his face and he readies his sword against them. Czar and Mace takes steps back and when they turn to the other side they see Arcadia holding the limb of one of his soldiers, she throws it away and readies her fans,
'And do you think I would let you run away Alpha Mace?" There was enough venom to kill a snake in her voice, 'die!!" She throws her blade at him but Czar defends it and he charges for her while Mace settled with Xerxes. She evades his sword strike and lands a kick to his abdomen before slapping another one to his head making him tumble backwards, she deals him multiple blows and kicks out of rage and when she stubs him enough she throws him to the walls of the palace and his body colludes against the hard material.
She charges for Mace and Spears him with her body, she was blinded by rage and she wanted to mortify him before parading his severed head round the streets, 'you belong in hell!!" She screams as she broke his nose with her fists, he grabs her neck and throws her off him, before he could even rise Xerxes is coming to him with his weapon in hand ready to finish him but Czar blocks it in the nick of time. He pushes him away and they brawl with their weapons.
Mace manages to get to his feet but Arcadia Spears him once again, ramming him into the walls, her lip was bleeding but the pain and anger in her eyes was intense. She gives him body blows until he retaliates and a hit from him is enough to knock her form to the ground.
She hits her head on the marble floor and her visions blues slightly, he grabs his sword and attempts to cut her head off but when she sees him coming she opens her mouth to let out a deafening sonic wave that sends him back to first to the wall. He slides down slowly as the pain washed over his senses.
She staggers to her feet, breathing heavily and picking her fan that was just beside her, she throws it at him but he blocks it with his blade and it returns to her,
'I will never forgive you for everything you have taken away from me!! You will suffer just like I have suffered!!" She curses him as the tears mixed with her blood, she lets out another deafening scream and Mace is slowly becoming handicapped. He staggers to his feet and flees from her. But she doesn't stop there. She chases after him, making sure she would end him herself.
It was all happening like his dream, he was running and she was chasing him. And in the end he would be killed by her. He would die by the feeble hands of a woman. She was hot on his tail as she began to super-speed, almost grabbing the base of his mane, his demise was so close but he didn't want to die. He wouldn't want to die.
He runs to a wall and does a backflip over her, he recovers smoothly and with the space between them charges for her, she bends over the strike that connected to the wall and she elbows the back of his neck. The pain stings him as unexpected as sitting on a needle, she grabs his mane and flips him to the ground. She lands her blade against him but he holds it in place with his sword,
'Why won't you just die??!!" Her tears were dripping on his face and he could see the amount of hatred she had for him in her eyes, it twists his heart but he uses his strength to overpower her and her fan is knocked out of her hand. He sees an opening and tries to impale his weapon into her chest but she stops it with her bare hands, the amount of strength she displayed scared him.
What was she?
Her eyes began to turn a dangerous magenta and her aura began to darken, she breaks the blade of the sword with her little hands and that was when he knew he was contending with Arcadia anymore. He was fighting a demon. The powerful Luna of the rose pack.
She dodges blades upon blades and is handling more than six men at once, but one by one, they begin to fall to her blade. For her it was a workout but the knots in her stomach didn't make it too easy for her, she reaches the prison and sees her people trapped in cages and her women naked. Her heart sinks and she looks at the locks,
'For the love of the goddess!!" She groans so loudly, where would I get the key,
'Here!!!" She turns back to catch a bunch of keys, she sees who threw it to her and she sights the fearful doctor,
'You?!! The Queen would make sure your death is painful!!" She sneers at him until she realized he had given her the keys, 'but why did you betray us?!!" She grit her teeth and the prisoners are confused,
'I never did, it was all part of Asher's plan!!"
