'And what exactly does that mean Xerxes? Are you seriously in support with Arcadia ruling the kingdom? She would drive us to destruction!!" Azeah tried to make him see the light but Xerxes was barely listening to him, he was just enjoying his apple, 'are you paying any attention to me?!"
'No, because all you're saying is just nonsense, Arcadia is perfectly capable of ruling and defending us, I don't know what you're so worried about." He throws the residue outside the window and Azeah felt like pulling out all of his brown locks,
'I understand you know, you're just agreeing with her because she's your daughter, so you would be considered royalty," he slander him and Xerxes turned to face him properly, he had a feeling he would be chopping off heads very soon, 'don't you feel ashamed? You slept with the Queen and produced….you produced that… An ill—"
'I've let you talk enough," his death bringer was too close to his neck, 'say any nonsense about my daughter or my wife and I would give you the same fate as the late king Magnus." He lowers his blade before he did something he regretted, 'leave and live while you can, I have a feeling it is Arcadia that would kill you herself."
He moves past him to find his daughter, he needed to talk to her immediately about the situation at hand, these men needed to be taken out before they got out of control,
'Xerxes you're doing the wrong thing!! You won't go far with this!!" Azeah yells at him but he didn't listen and he would never listen, 'young and foolish, that's what he is!!" He growls and in the twinkle of an eye, he is out of the dining hall looking for the next best thing to do to get Arcadia off the throne.
'Sage what are you saying? Are you sure? At first you told us that Arcadia is his true mate and now you're saying this?" Loki was beginning to lose hope in the words of the ancient woman.
She smiles before letting out a low chuckle,
'Loki my boy, you're smarter than Czar and Mace combined, maybe that is why you are there to protect our master," she pats his back with a force he never knew she had, 'let me tell you something, sit." She motions to the soft cushion on the floor and he is forced to bend to a smaller height to nestle his bum on the soft material.
'What can we do to help Master? He doesn't seem to be getting any better, he keeps getting angry unnecessarily, he's becoming a lot like Czar now." His complaint made her laugh even more, it felt like she was watching a rom com over again, if she ever watched one.
'Let him be angry, his anger would turn to love very soon," she predicts with a toothy grin, 'Mace is hurt that he got rejected, In fact, this is the first time I'm hearing a woman reject a man; it's usually the other way around." She reaches out as she tried to grab a bowl that was placed at her right but she kept stretching to her left.
He sees her plight and he helps her with the bowl, putting it in her hand, her collects it firmly with a small smile,
'Bless you child." She pours it into her mouth and he is expecting words from her but since she was taking her time with her drink, he decided to speak up,
'But sage, does this mean that master really does love Arcadia? Or is he just angry that his pride got injured?" He wanted to know the truth,
'Both, I can still remember the day I told him about her, he must've been smiling like a child seeing candy, it's such a pity I wasn't able to see his face." She laughs louder and Loki couldn't resist he chortle that escaped his lips,
'He was particularly in a good mood that day, but after the war he has Been breaking things and Czar isn't making it any easier for me." He goans as he rubbed his temples,
'Hmmm as expected, I know something you all don't, but I would be glad to tell you something," she ushers him to come closer, and he complies, he wanted to know the secret, 'just as Arcadia has faced backlash, he would also experience the same, he would be driven out of his own kingdom and be forced to serve the object of his hatred. All this would happen out of someone's greed."
His eyes are wide and she smiles even more,
'Sage…. Are you sure??!" He inquires and she nods like a happy child,
'Have I ever been wrong? I've seen it the moment I saw Arcadia in my vision, brace yourself Loki, I see a lot of cleaning in his future." She laughs whole heatedly but he is worried to death,
'Very well, but I'm trusting everything would be fine eventually?" He wanted to hear it so badly,
'If Mace can put his ego aside then yes, everything would eventually be fine, but it's conditional." She grabs her Sceptre and rises to her feet, 'let us leave, I believe the king requested me to come?" She reminds him but he is too distraught, 'it would be fine Loki, just make sure to keep your eyes open, and your ears too, and always stay by your Master. He would need you more than ever." She waddles to his side and pats him on the back, 'shall we?"
'We shall, this way ma'am." He leads her our of her small mystic hut but his mind kept running laps, what was he supposed to do now? All her words gave him more questions than answers, Mace was in love with Arcadia and apparently he hadn't gotten over her yet. But Czar said he needed to be surrounded by women so he would eventually forget.
But what the Sativa says is completely different, what is happening here? They're back to the palace and Mace had been impatiently waiting for them,
'Sorry your majesty, it isn't easy to move around with my old bones." She is rather playful today but Mace didn't look like he was in the mood, 'I did tell you to heed my advice but you never listen to me unless it is in your favor, how is your back doing by the way?" She points out, she couldn't see but she could still see and that was what annoyed him the most.
'Sage, leave that, we have more important things to discuss," he pushes her jokes aside,
'What I have seen would only anger you sir, I would prefer it happens to you so it wouldn't be like I'm cursing you." She shrugs nonchalantly and Czar finds it very rude, 'do not say a word young lad, you always talk before you think. It is better that destiny happens and you should stop trying to prevent it." She hums with a smile.
Czar whispers something into his master's ears while Loki stood beside her, a maid comes to him and whispers something in his ears. She slips a paper in his hand and he secretly checks it out.
A neat cursive dances across the old paper and he couldn't help but smile at the name he read out,
