Chapter 16: She is His Woman!
After seeing this, Katie understood the whole thing.
She knew that her brother was not a person who couldn't distinguish right from wrong. He couldn't really be marrying Tiffany!
She was right.
Just an hour before the wedding, she had scolded Elio fiercely, almost cutting off their sibling relationship.
Katie really wanted to call Julia and tell her everything. But as soon as she took out her phone, the video on the large projection screen changed. The screen now showed an endless sea, with the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs.
The sound made everyone in the banquet hall pause in surprise. What was happening?
Tiffany, who had been screaming frantically, also quieted down. When she saw Julia appear on the screen, she pointed at her like a madwoman and shouted, "Elio, it's her! It's all because of her! I'm not like this, I'm your beloved Tiffany, I..."
"Shut up."
Elio did not look at her, his gaze firmly fixed on the image, that figure that seemed to be on the verge of collapse with a single gust of wind.
Julia stood on the cliff, her back facing the camera. It seemed like an eternity before she slowly turned around, her pale face causing everyone present to involuntarily gasp for breath.
They recognized the person in the picture, for just a few years ago, she was Elio's true love.
However, something happened later on: the Murphy family encountered one misfortune after another, and even Julia, who was sheltered by Elio's tyrannical behaviors, disappeared from the public eye.
"Elio," Julia sat down cross-legged, looking at the camera as if she was looking into Elio's eyes. "Do you remember what you once said to me?"
His mind went blank.
The emptiness panicked him.
Elio continued to stare intently at Katie, eager to know what she wanted to say.
But Katie was in a panic at this moment. She had made sure her people were keeping an eye on her, fearing that something might go wrong, but in the end...she left!
"Send someone to find her," Elio instructed his assistant beside him, his gaze still fixed on the screen.
Julia, in the frame, continued speaking, "I suppose you don't remember anymore. Everything you once told me, you have forgotten, Elio. I hate you, no matter what your reason is for treating me this way, I hate you."
She said it with a smile, no sign of fluctuation in her eyes, and her voice was soft and low. "Katie said she had memory problems, so is it the same for you, Elio? When I told you that I didn't do any of the things you accused me of, you didn't listen. You hurt me recklessly, making me experience true despair little by little. "
"Oh, you will never understand this kind of pain." She stood up, staggering as if she might collapse at any moment.
When he saw her stumble, Elio couldn't help but take two steps forward.
Until she stood at the edge of the cliff, and when he saw her smile at the camera, Elio's heart felt as if it was being tightly clenched!
"Let me give you an unforgettable wedding," Julia's voice was almost drowned out by the sound of the waves.
As if knowing what she was about to do next, Elio's heart spasmed with pain!
No.
No, don't.
Elio wanted to shout, but his throat felt like it was being constricted, he couldn't even utter a single word!
"In the next life, we will never meet again."
As the words fell, without any hesitation, she leaped towards the sea!
Amidst everyone's cries of shock, Katie watched helplessly as her brother, the tall and noble figure, fell heavily to the ground!
Julia, she was his...Julia!
