Chapter 6: Pregnancy
Julia repeated her words forcefully, as if afraid Elio hadn't heard her clearly, "Elio, let's get a divorce."
Elio, with a cold expression on his face, stared at Julia while his hand at his side clenched into a fist.
"Divorce? What tricks are you trying to play this time?"
As it turned out, she was just this kind of pitiful person in his heart.
"Elio, I'm tired. I'll let you go, and you, please set me free."
She would leave, far away, regardless of life or death. They would each have their own separate lives.
"Dream on!" Elio suddenly shouted, "Do you think you can easily leave me and live a carefree life? Julia, it isn't that easy! I said it before: I will make you suffer!"
"Suffer?" Julia looked at Elio and softly asked, "Am I not suffering? Or do you think only death would be the right suffering for me?"
She lowered her hand from her face, lifted the cup, and took off her hospital gown in front of Elio, exposing her scarred body to him.
"Do you see it?" Julia didn't look at Elio this time, but at Katie. Her eyes were hollow. "I've experienced things far worse than you. Katie. Are you satisfied?"
When Katie saw Julia covered in wounds, she couldn't help but take a step back.
She never expected Julia to be so severely tortured.
"Julia!" Elio's anger seemed to reach its peak. "How shameless can you be?! Don't forget my warning to you!"
"If we divorce, as long as we divorce, I swear I won't appear in front of any of you again. Naturally, you won't have to worry about me harming them, right?"
"Impossible! You can't escape, it's impossible!"
With those words, Elio turned around and left, his face cold and hard.
Meanwhile, Tiffany, who was initially excited about Julia's suggestion of a divorce, was now filled with anger to the point of wanting to devour Julia alive.
"Just wait!" Tiffany's voice trailed off as she saw Elio's departure.
She immediately left.
Julia was alone again, and she told herself sheju must have him divorced as soon as possible!
Two months later.
Julia was pregnant.
The child was not Elio's.
When she received this news, she sat in the doctor's office and laughed hysterically until she cried.
She actually got pregnant.
She actually got pregnant during that hellish ordeal!
The doctor looked at Julia somewhat uneasily and glanced at the data sheet in his hand. She was indeed married, but why couldn't he see any joy on her face? Instead, there was endless despair.
"Mrs. Murphy," the doctor looked at her with concern.
"Abort it." Julia clenched her fists tightly, her throat terribly dry, but she still spoke to the doctor slowly and deliberately, "Please help me..."
"Mrs. Murphy, your health is not good right now, but as long as you rest well, there shouldn't be any problems with raising the child, you..."
"No, I don't want it! I don't want baby!" she yelled.
How could she have this child! This child would constantly remind her of her inhumane experience. How could she love this child?
If that's the case, then it's better to let the child never come into this world!
"Alright, alright, calm down, let's talk slowly." The doctor made a calming gesture to Julia. "Can you tell me..."
"Please arrange the surgery as soon as possible." Julia's palms were already stained with blood, but she seemed to feel no pain at all, her face calm as ever.
The doctor still appeared hesitant, "Do you want to go back and discuss with your family first? This..."
Family?
She no longer had a family.
Elio used to be her only family, but now, she had nothing.
"Dead." Julia's voice was icy, "Right now, I only have myself."
"I didn't know I was dead?" Elio's voice suddenly echoed in the doctor's office. He was standing right behind Julia, his black eyes filled with coldness.
