Chapter 8: Why do you want to harm me!
The child ultimately survived.
When Julia woke up in the hospital and learned this news, she went mad, pounding on her abdomen as if possessed, causing the stitches to burst. In an instant, the pristine white bedsheet was stained with vivid colors of blood.
The nurse was terrified, screaming at Julia not to do such a thing.
But Julia seemed not to hear, tears streaming down her face, crazily pounding on her swollen belly, screaming in despair, "Why don't you just die! Please die with mommy, my poor baby..."
"Do you want to continue making a scene?" Elio suddenly appeared in the ward, standing at the doorway, coldly watching the seemingly insane Julia.
Julia abruptly raised her head, staring intently at Elio, her eyes bloodshot. "Why?! Why are you treating me like this?!"
Elio furrowed his brow.
"I've said it before, it wasn't me! I didn't do anything! But why don't you believe me?! Why don't you believe me?!" Her voice was hoarse, her face filled with despair, completely disregarding the consequences to come. "It was Tiffany, everything was Tiffany—"
A merciless slap landed directly on Julia's face!
"I warned you!" Elio's deep voice carried a warning. He gripped Julia's bloody lips, "Since you have such a short memory, I'll let you understand the consequences of forgetting!"
With that, he flung Julia onto the ground, then took out his phone and made a call, "Hello, it's me. Demolish the old mansion of the Murphy family! Smash everything inside!"
"No, no," Julia, ignoring her blood-soaked body, crawled weakly to Elio's front, weakly clutching his leg. "You can't do this, Elio. You can't."
That was the only hope her family had left for her! It was her last emotional support!
Elio disgustedly kicked his leg away, taking two steps back. "You can continue to cause trouble, but if anything happens to the baby, I will make sure you pay the price for completely provoking me."
He walked to the door, as if suddenly reminded of something. He turned around and looked at Julia, who was lying limp on the ground. "I remember, your parents' graves are in the forest garden, right?"
"Elio!" Julia gritted her teeth, her mouth full of blood, eyes filled with despair. "I was an idiot! What have I done? Why did I love you!!"
Julia's intense scream made Elio's heart tighten. He suppressed his discomfort and walked away in long strides.
As soon as Elio left, Katie, who had just regained consciousness, followed closely behind.
Accompanying Katie was Tiffany.
"Oh, what happened? Why are you covered in blood?" Tiffany feigned surprise, looking at Julia's swollen face with pretend innocence.
Julia didn't look at Tiffany. She stared intensely at Katie, using all her strength, "You say you saw with your own eyes that I let people attack you and accuse I hit your mother with a car, right?"
Katie had come to see the extent of Julia's misery, but as she looked at Julia, covered in blood, with a resentful look, she found herself frozen in place. She couldn't even find the words to refute.
"Katie! What have I done to deserve this from you?" Julia exclaimed.
Tiffany sneered, "You don't know what you've done? If it weren't for you, my aunt wouldn't have died, and Katie wouldn't have-!"
But Julia seemed not to hear Tiffany's sneer. Her bloodshot eyes were locked onto Katie. "If I die, I won't spare you. Even as a ghost, I won't spare you."
Katie was scared. She backtracked, one step after another. The repulsive faces flashed in her mind, what they had said, what they had done. It was all because of Julia, because Julia gave them money, because Julia told them to...
Julia supported herself on the edge of the bed and stood up. She was covered in blood, her face pale. "Katie, remember this blood face! I will find you in your dream!"
Katie kept backing away.
She was scared of her.
She was actually afraid of Julia!
But it was her who had caused all this. Why was Julia still so unashamed?!
[-Come quick, it's the Miss of the Parker family. I wonder how she would be in bed.
-I heard she's still a virgin. Must be tight and amazing.
-If not for her, we wouldn't get to taste this kind of woman. And we're getting paid too. She really went through a lot to enter the Parker family.]
These scenes and words rewound in Katie's mind, her face withered.
Tiffany noticed Katie's unsettling expression and quickly pulled her away. Katie was still useful to her, and she couldn't let anything happen to her.
As for Julia, she had plenty of ways to make her suffer!
