Chapter 19: Slow down, wait for me

The car finally stopped at a villa in Elio's suburban area.
He had bought this villa a long time ago, back when he was still together with Julia.
Julia loved the environment here - serene and undisturbed.
However, he hadn't come here in a long time, so long that he almost forgot about the existence of this villa.
Elio carefully carried the urn out of the car. "Julia, let's go home."
His voice was hoarse and out of character.
The rooms had already been cleaned by someone he had sent earlier, but he still couldn't rest easy and came to clean them himself before bringing Julia back.
There wasn't a single person in this spacious villa. Elio placed the urn down and gently caressed it with distinctly visible knuckles, his hoarse voice particularly soft. "I know you don't want to see me now, but please, let me do the last thing for me."
"If you hate me, revive... and come find me! "
"I've never dreamt of you even once. Do you truly not want to remember me at all?"
"If you really hate me, then come find me, seek revenge, take my life, alright?"
Elio sat stiffly in his chair, his dark eyes devoid of any radiance, only pain evident.
She said she hated him.
But why hadn't she come to find him every day when he fell asleep early?
Another surge of a bittersweet taste rose in his throat, and Elio struggled to swallow it down, apologizing to the urn, "I'm in the wrong, all of it. You can pity me, even if it means seeking revenge, just let me see you."
Elio had never truly forgotten Julia.
During their wedding, when Julia jumped down...into the sea, all the memories seemed to flow into my mind.
He had already forgotten her once; how could he forget her again?
He just doesn't want Katie to worry.
He just doesn't know how to deal with it.
When there was a knock on the door, Elio was still holding the urn and saying something.
"Everything is ready, sir."
A respectful voice sounded outside the door. Elio gave a silent hum, and then there was no sound. He stroked the urn.
"Julia, why don't you live here in the future?"
"You're not going anywhere, okay?"
"You wait for me, and when I take care of everything, I'll come to you."
He would whisper softly to the ancient river, with a tender look on his face.
"It's cold down there. Don't be afraid. I'll company you soon."
Julia was buried by Elio himself.
He carved the tombstone word by word.
Katie was frightened by Elio's disappearance these days, during which she even went directly to Tiffany and asked her if she knew Elio's trace.
But when she saw Tiffany, who was obviously under house arrest, on the verge of breaking down, Katie knew she shouldn't come here after all.
However, when Tiffany saw Katie, she seemed to hold on to the last straw!
"Katie, Katie, please talk to Elio. I didn't do it. I was forced to do it. Help me, help me!"
Katie just stood outside the door, looking at the crazy Tiffany, and questioned, "Didn't you do it?"
"Did you get Dave to deal with me?"
"Did you find Jake to tamper with my and my brother's memory?"
"Tiffany, do you think that no one knows what you have done, that none of this will be discovered?"
Tiffany seems to have been hit hard, and she looks at Katie in disbelief!
How could she know all about it?!
No, it can't be!
Jake clearly said that no one can break his hypnosis!
Katie said coldly, "I won't deal with you now. When my brother takes care of everything, he will have plenty of time to deal with you."
"Tiffany, just wait."
