CHAPTER 22 "JEALOUS 2"

"Hush now, he'll notice you cried when he sees your eyes swollen later," Ara said as she gently massaged her back.

They were able to return to their classroom, their classmates just left because their teacher for their last subject was absent.

"I really hate him, look, he enjoys flirting with his women and then he just leaves me like that? He can go to hell for all I care but still, I won't talk to him!" Jenny in her angry tone was then forced to control the continuous flow of her tears.

"Do you want me to talk to him? You know I don't want to see you like that."

Jenny felt the sincerity in Ara's words, enough reason for her to smile sweetly. After that, she also decided to dry her tears, stop crying and sniff.

"Actually you're more beautiful than the woman he's dating now, and if you just agreed you should be the representative of our college department during the last Search for Mr. and Miss University?" in the tone of Ara's words it is obvious that she is very proud of her so she eventually she felt okay as well.

"That was because of him, he didn't allow me to join the pageant," she confessed to Ara.

Ara's beautiful, blue eyes widened at her confession. "What? Is it true what you're saying?" she obviously could not believe her revelation.

Jenny nodded. "Yes, Jason has always been very protective. I told you, didn't I? He didn't want me to talk to anyone, especially Leo. About the pageant, Mama allowed me, she was really excited, but Jason said he might just get into a fight if I join," she even added.

"Get into a fight? Why would he get into a fight?" Ara's eyebrows met hers.

Jenny sighed first before she opened her mouth to speak. "He said with pageant I had to wear a swimsuit or two-piece, he told me that he didn't want my body to be exposed in front of many men, he even added that it might be a trigger for others to say unpleasant things about me," she said.

Ara unknowingly bit her lower lip with what she said. "Really? You know I really doubt that man. I really feel like there's something, why is he even thinking about that? You know I think it's more on he's afraid that you'll suddenly have a long queue of handsome suitors, and he'll die even more because of jealousy," Ara whispered giggling.

Jenny rolled her eyes with what she heard. "He can do whatever he wants, I can't really talk to him. I want Jason to experience how angry I am. Sometimes it's not really good to be so kind, you will be abused," she said with a bitter smile afterward.

That was when Ara gave her an understanding and comforting hug. "Do you want to go to the library? After all, we don't have classes after this?" her friend asked her.

Jenny shook her head one after another. "Leo and I will meet at the canteen. I promised him earlier that we would have a snack together. And one more thing, I'm still really upset with Jason, I don't want to see him right now," she confessed to the last thing she said.

Ara nodded understandingly before opening her mouth to speak. "Is that so? Anyway, let's go?" she said to her then stood up.

Jenny also stood up afterward. They were going downstairs when they come across Leo who immediately greeted her and Ara.

"Oh, I was about to pick you up from the classroom," he told her then smiled at Ara.

"There's no one there anymore so I thought I'd just meet you at the canteen," she replied.

Then Leo scratched his head. "Yeah right, actually I don't have your cellphone number, give it to me so we can communicate more easily. Is it okay? Won't your older brother be angry, I mean, your friend?" further correcting the last he mentioned.

Jenny and Ara laughed at the same time. Then with questions in her eyes, she turned to Ara who just nodded at her.

"Give it to him," she winked at her. "I'll go ahead, I'll just meet you there just in case you decided to follow," Ara added.

"This girl is doing her very best to annoy me," Jason whispered as he watched Jenny's bulk walk down the quadrangle towards the canteen with Leo.

That's when he heard a fine laugh from behind him. "Guess what?" it was Ara who tenderly hugged Daniel and the latter kissed the young lady on the forehead.

He wondered to himself how it happened that the jealousy that he secretly harbored in his chest because Ara became closer to Daniel suddenly disappeared like a bubble.

That's true, he was really in love with Ara back then. But everything changed when he met Jenny. His feelings seemed divided.

Until now, he still has feelings for Ara but it's not the same as before. And even if it wasn’t right, he also couldn’t avoid comparing, because the truth is the jealousy he felt then because of Ara’s closeness to Daniel is nothing compared to what’s happening to him now with Jenny. 

Maybe that's just the way it is when you accept everything. He accepted that Ara was for Daniel and he had no plans to fight for his feelings for her. That is if he still has feelings for her.

Does he think that maybe his feeling for Ara now is just like a friend? And maybe Daniel was right, maybe he was jealous and he needs to do something. Maybe he already loves Jenny that is why he is behaving like this.

"What was that?" he asked Ara.

"Leo asked for Jenny's cellphone number earlier, Jenny even asked me if she would give it to him," Ara said and then looked at the scene of the two people walking that he had been following with his gaze until they entered the canteen and eventually disappeared.

"What did you say?" he couldn't help but feel a strange emotion he couldn't explain as he waited for the answer from Ara.

"I told her to give it to him, after all, they're friends too. And then what did she say to me that you were the one who stopped her from joining Mr. and Miss University?" at that moment the tone of Ara's voice suddenly changed.

"Ah, so you talked? Does she really want to join that pageant? Does she want a lot of eyes to feast on her body while she's in a two-piece? Then now she's with that Leo again. Your best friend is really stubborn, she's so annoying."

He is really pissed and also annoyed that Jenny didn't seem to be affected even though he had been angry with her when they talked at the roof deck a while ago.

As much as he said that he heard Daniel and Ara laughed at the same time.

"My goodness, Jason you are so green with envy!" Ara teases him

"Get her and make her your girlfriend," Daniel amended.

"Court her, I already have a girlfriend," he replied.

"Gosh, Jenny is much more beautiful than that woman. If you just didn't stop my best friend, for sure our department got the crown. Jenny is so beautiful, sexy, and really smart. A full-scholar for a fact, where else on earth would you be able to find someone like her? If Leo happens to precede you, he will be very lucky with my best friend, isn't he, Love,?"

"Of course, Jenny is kind and you're good together. I just hope you can do something about this and not just being jealous," said Daniel.

Jason didn't say a word, not because he had nothing to say but because he knew what the two were saying was true. And if he does not act he will surely be preceded. But how? What would he do when he knew Jenny hated him?

How did he say she's angry?

Jenny wouldn’t do something that would make him mad or go against what he says and advice if she is not upset with him.
