CHAPTER 35 "NEW BEGINNING"
"I'M GOING TO SLEEP, thanks for the insistence of the conversation, I feel better now," when Jason escorted her to her cabin that's what she told the young man.
Jason nodded while smiling. "Does that mean we're okay? You're not mad at me anymore?" the young man asked her.
Then Jenny nodded with a smile. "It's been a long time, ten years, maybe that's why God let us meet again because He wants us to have a proper closure as we did a while ago. We won't be really happy if we don't take away from our hearts' anger and any negative vibes, right? "
"You're right. Thank you too and you forgive me, tomorrow do you want to come with me to eat breakfast?" Jason in his usual kind tone.
"Oh no, maybe not. I plan to go for a walk tomorrow morning," she refused.
"Is that so? Can't I just go with you? I'll walk with you like what we did when we were in college?"
Jenny couldn't help but feel intense amusement for Jason because of the insistence she felt on the tone of his voice.
"Do you think I can refuse just in case?" his amused question then pulled out and let out a deep sigh.
That was when Jason shook his head consecutively. "No, actually. Maybe we're not kids anymore but about me when it comes to you I still feel like that. Nothing seems to have changed and if anything seems to have increased it's because I really miss you," he said. approaching her with emotion on his face in the words he said.
At that gesture, Jenny's chest quickly trembled.
Earlier she could say that her emotions and heartbeat seemed to have normalized a bit. But here he is and it seems that the young man wants to do something to her again that she knows when he does it will be difficult for her to refuse again.
"G-Go to sleep," she shooed him away then addressed the opening of the door lock. But apparently because of the nervousness that she feels she was not able to insert the key into the keyhole
Jason did not answer and instead took the key in her hand and he himself opened the door of her cabin.
"Good night," Jason said as she entered.
Jenny nodded then smiled at the young man. "All right, let's meet again tomorrow," she shooed him away for the second time.
"Give me your cellphone number first," Jason then pulled his cellphone out of the pocket of his jacket.
Jenny laughed softly there and then took the cellphone that the young man handed her to type her cellphone number.
"All right, I'm really sleepy," she said as she grabbed the knob and leaned forward to push the door shut.
"Okay," Jason said.
When she got inside, Jenny just washed and brushed her teeth and went to bed.
She was happy because the weight she was carrying was finally reduced because of the good conversation she had with Jason. She felt at that moment that the pain that Ryan had inflicted on her had disappeared from her heart.
Or maybe that's how she feels now because she really loved Jason more than Ryan?
And she also couldn't deny that the reason why she couldn't give herself to Ryan was that she still couldn't completely forget Jason even though a long time had passed.
At that thought she was stunned.
What makes her different from Ryan?
Maybe there is but only a little. Because she knew in herself that she had not been fair with him either because there was still a part of her heart that still valued everything she and Jason had together before.
*****
FROM staring at the ceiling, with a smile, Jason picked up his cell phone and started typing a message for Jenny.
He knew she had told him earlier that she was drowsy. But the happiness he feels now is no different from the kind he felt when Jenny accepted his love ten years ago.
Sweet dreams, see you tomorrow! This is Jason, please save my number. Thank you! :)
He said in the text.
He waited for a while and excitedly picked up his cellphone just to smile broadly when he saw the message from Jenny.
Okay, sweet dreams too. I've saved your number. About six in the morning I will go out tomorrow. If you say you want to come, you should go to bed so you can wake up early. :)
Jenny replied to him.
Jason smiled there.
If anything seemed to have changed in Jenny it was that she learned to be a little stubborn. Because he didn't see that side in the young lady before so he could feel amusement now.
Okay, go to sleep. I will be sleeping too. :)
He said it would be better not to disturb Jenny.
A few more moments and he remained awake.
Just like he said before, he was very happy. In fact, he was happy because what he had just asked to Ara's grave was quickly given to him. That hopefully, he will see Jenny again.
He could not deny what he really felt for the girl. He still really has feelings for her and that’s why he couldn’t stop himself from kissing and claiming her. But he also knows that Jenny is going through something these days.
Was he crazy if he, well, just in case, offered Jenny comfort in a way he knew he could give and would help her completely forget that man she called by the name Ryan?
Wouldn't he look like he was taking advantage of the fact that he didn't lose his feelings for her and just rested instead?
That’s when he wanted to think about how he would start.
Now that he had seen Jenny again he knew it would be a great folly if he let him lose her again.
How could he get her back in such a way that he didn't seem to be in a hurry?
Or would he better just let the opportunity act and give him a clue as to what to do?
What happened between the two of them earlier he could not say would not happen again. Because when he looks at her he can’t help himself. He wanted to kiss and hug her like he used to. He wanted her to be his. Everything about Jenny he wanted to be his, including her heart.
He didn't know what Jenny had done to him again. But the intense longing he felt for the young lady has always been undeniable.
