CHAPTER 25 "HOUSE VISIT"

THE NEXT DAY, as expected, she went to school with Jason because just as he said, the young man picked her up. That same day she introduced him to her mother as her boyfriend. And because she always knew that Rowena wanted Jason for her, her mother was very happy.

Ara and Daniel reacted the same way when she and Jason confessed to them about the true state of their relationship. But she couldn't help but feel sorry for Leo when she told her classmate the truth.

"That's why he's watching over you like that because he loves you. Then you love him too?" he said in a resentful tone. "You know Jenny, I like you too, I was really late to get close to you," his tone showed regret so she felt even more sorry for the young man.

"I know one day you'll meet someone more than me that you will love more than anyone," was all she thought she could say.

They had just finished their class and she and Jason are going to meet for lunch together.

Leo just nodded. “I know that, I just can’t really avoid feeling regret,” he confesses.

Jenny just smiled and after a while, she decided to say goodbye.

She was coming down from their building when she met Jason who immediately smiled sweetly at her.

"Let's go?" he asked her.

She looked up at the young man with a shudder. "How could you be so handsome?" she answered instead.

Jenny didn't know if she was just deceived by her sight or if it was true that she saw the rapid redness on Jason's face that also quickly disappeared because of what she said.

"I thought I was the only one who's head over heels to you? But it looks like you you feel the same for me too, am I right?" he said, putting his arm around her and then kissing her forehead before staring at her with so much passion and tenderness.

Jason's gazes at her had a quick effect. But since she is now her boyfriend, somehow the discomfort she feels disappears even though the strange flow of electricity and delicious sensation that flows through her body even with the simple touching of their hands remains.

"What, I'm right isn't it?" Jason asked again as she remained silent.

Jenny just smiled then tenderly leaned her head on her boyfriend's shoulder. "I really love you," she replied looking up at him again. "And I can give you anything, because of my great love for you," she admitted then smiled again.

As she stared at the young man's face, she felt the emotion she saw in his eyes change. Jenny couldn't figure out what it was but still, she couldn't escape the sight of the seemingly small remnants of a fire that also disappeared immediately.

"Where do you want to eat? Still in the same place?" he asked her as they exited the gate.

Jason held her hand tightly in such a way that he seemed like he was afraid she would let go and that secretly made Jenny happy.

After a while, she nodded.

"By the way, there's no school tomorrow because it's a legal holiday, do you want to stay at home? I'll cook lunch for you," her boyfriend asked as they walked.

At that question, Jenny quickly felt very excited.

"Really? Will you cook for me?" she said thrilled.

"Sure, now, I'll pick you up tomorrow?" Jason asked her.

"Yes, of course, I can't wait," the young lady agreed.

*****

JASON picked her up early again for her first date the next day. But because she thought that her mother might think badly of her, she decided to keep it a secret that she was going to her boyfriend's house.

"Wow, you have a very beautiful house!" she immediately exclaimed as she surveyed the household with an admiring gaze.

It was made of concrete and wood that she knew are narra and mahogany. It was like the old houses in the time of the Spaniards. There are large windows made of capiz shell. The floor is wide narra planks and so are the several antiques.

"Thank you, Papa inherited this from his parents that's why it looks a bit like this. Mama just takes care of it so it doesn't break down completely," Jason explained to her.

Jenny then smiled and approached a rocking chair next to the large window and then sat there.

"It's beautiful. It was built during the Spanish period, right?" she said, admiration still in her tone of voice.

"Yeah, yes actually," Jason said laughing softly. "Anyway, stay here first, I'll just fix our lunch."

"I'll help you," she said quickly then hurried to her feet.

"No need, I'm fine. If you want, just join me in the kitchen so I have someone to talk to?"

Then with a wide smile, Jenny approached her boyfriend. “All right, I also want to see how you cook,” she told him.

Jason gently pinched the bridge of her nose as she said that.

"Just because you are a good cook, huh," he said chuckling.

The young lady giggled. "No, it's just thrilling and very romantic because you're going to cook for me while back then it seemed like it was just a dream for me to experience your kiss," Jenny finally said as she quickly bit her lower lip.

After that, she quickly pulled away from Jason who she noticed was staring at her.

"What did you say? Please say that again?"

There were traces of amusement in Jason's so even though she didn't want to, it was as if she was not in her usual self when looked up and then stared at him.

"N-Nothing," she replied in a stuttering tone then shook her head consecutively while at the same time there was a sudden throbbing in her chest.

As the corner of Jason's lip lifted, her chest throbbed even more. "You are lucky because I have something to do, but later after eating, whether you like it or not," the young man said meaningfully.

Jenny's eyes widened at what she heard. "W-What?" she asked.

Jason answered her with a smile and then led his way out of the kitchen so she followed.

Chicken Tinola is the dish Jason cooked for her. And she can say that the young man knows how to cook even if, in fact, he is a man. That's because not all men have that kind of ability.

"When does your Mama come home?" she asked when they were in the living room.

They had just finished cleaning the kitchen.

Then Jason moved and then lay down and made a pillow of her thighs. "She doesn't come home regularly but she calls me often. Last night I talked to her, I already told him about you."

The last thing Jason said really made her smile.

"R-Really? Wait, what's your Mama's name?" somehow she tried to hide the thrill she was feeling and she succeeded there.

"Loida," her boyfriend replied.

"Eh, what did you tell her about me?"

Jason smiled broadly then yawned. "Let's go to my bedroom?" he asked her.

At what her boyfriend said, Jenny felt quickly nervous. "Oh please stop!" she told the young man.

"We are not going to do anything. Why? Don't you trust me?" Jason's defensive explanation.

She gave her boyfriend an unconvinced look and then pinched his cheek.

"Stop pretending, I know what you're thinking!" she said to the young man.

"Tsk, come on, it's not comfortable to lie here in the chair, I might fall asleep. I'm sure when I wake up I'll have body pain," Jason insisted.

"Well I love this chair because I love antiques," she replied instead.

"Come on," Jason repeated ignoring what she said but stared at her, pleadingly in his eyes.

She didn't know if it was because of the way Jason was staring at her, or if it was the fact that she really liked that idea because she loved the young man and she trusted him so she finally agreed.

Jenny knew that Jason had wanted to kiss her since earlier. That was despite many of his stealthy little kisses to her while they were cooking. And she also admitted that she wanted a longer, earnest, and passionate kiss from the young man.

That's what she expected. But something else happened because after Jason closed the door of his room, it seemed like he wasted not even a small moment. He immediately hugged her and then claimed her lips in such a way that he seemed to say he owned them.
