CHAPTER 70 “FRATERNAL TWINS”

"CONGRATULATIONS, you're pregnant with fraternal twins," the doctor happily announced as she looked at Jenny.

"Really doctor?" Jason's asked loudly who was obviously very happy at that moment.

“Yes, Mr. Espinosa, ” the doctor said with a wide smile then shifted her eyes to the two of them.

"Wow, I can't believe it!" that's Jason.

From the time they were on the trip from the hospital and until now they are at home, that is what he keeps saying.

Jenny at that moment was smiling sitting in her favorite rocking chair.

She remembers she and Jason were just in college and she loved that rocking chair already. So maybe that's how it is because now she lives in that house that her husband says back then that would be their home.

And she often sat there then.

"Seriously, you can even beat Jenny with the way you react," said Loida who visited them and was scheduled to stay there for a week.

"That's how he has been reacting, Mama, even while he was driving," she said accepting the mango shake made by her mother-in-law.

"I'm excited," Jason replied as he stepped closer to her. “He took a chair made of mahogany wood and sat down in front of her.

"Babies," he said, caressing her bulging stomach. “Don't make Mommy have a hard time conceiving with you, okay? I'm excited to see you two,” Jason continued then kissed her stomach.

At that moment her mother-in-law was no longer in the living room. She returned to the kitchen and said she would continue what she was doing there.

Just as she wanted it to happen, Jason just gave her a private and simple wedding. Too much has happened and for them, it was all enough for them to prove to each other how real they feel.

After the wedding, they were in this house that they went straight for their first night as a couple. She prefers that.

She prefers this house to happen her first special night with Jason as his wife. Just as here she first gave herself to her man when they were young.

Maybe she's just really like that. She is happier with simple things especially and she already has the only thing she has always dreamed of. That was her husband.

Now they have been married for almost two years. She can tell that they both planned about having children already. It's not like what they did about their marriage that happened so quickly.

Well, fast or not, she could say she still liked it.

As promised by Jason, they built the first branch of their bakery in Baguio, which they called Jenny’s Café. Her mother chose that name because according to Rowena, she would be left with that business one day. Besides she started holding it since she graduated.

Jason and Paul's firm also went well. She will not be surprised there because her husband has always been a very good Engineer apart from the fact that he is really very smart. So, she can say that their first few years were very busy even though they were just married.

"Can you think of a name for our babies?" Jason asked her as it remained to stare at her as he caressed her baby bump.

"Now that you've asked, there is," she said, followed by a weak laugh.

"Arabella and Daniel," she replied then stroked the hair of the man she loved.

Jason stared at her for a long time. After that, he smiled broadly. He lifted himself then kissed her.

"Of course, why not," he said.

“I suddenly missed Ara, and Daniel,” at that point Jenny couldn't help but feel sad.

“Yeah, me too. I miss them, especially my best friend, Daniel,” Jason said in his tone was what he said.

“What if they are here now? Maybe they have babies too. Sometimes I can’t stop regretting because we know how much they love each other don’t we?”

Jason nodded. "But I'm sure they're together now," he said.

“Yeah, me too. But it's still different to see and talk to them. Admit it, am I not, right? Especially since they both really pushed you back then to admit to me how you really feel?” in recollection Jenny couldn't help but grin.

Jenny heard the faint laugh that ran down her husband's throat.

"And they also made me realize what I really feel for you," said Jason who held her hand and then kissed it. "Jen, I love you so much, and no matter what happens, I know even a few years later my love will remain just for you."

"I know," she said touching Jason's cheek. “I feel the same for you. I love you so much, and I know wherever our friends are right now, they are happy and they can see us. They know how happy we are because we know we will never be separated,” she continued.

“Really? Even if it wasn't easy for you before because of me? Do you know that even now, even when we’re married, I still can’t help but feel guilty when I think about everything you’ve been through because I kept a secret from you?”

Jenny laughed softly at what her husband said.

“That was in the past. Here we are and we are going to have babies, you need to think about the beautiful things now. And one more thing, I think all of that is really planned because otherwise, we might not have reached this point, ” she explained.

"Yeah?"

“Yes,” she said. "Sometimes even if two people love each other very much they need to be separated. Not only because they are not for each other but for them to realize how deep their love is," Jenny continued.

That is true.

"I think you're right with that," Jason agreed.

“Actually, there were times then that I thought, what if I listened? If I let you explain? But not either, because that's really how our story should be. So, look, now that I realized how hard it was to be away from you, I didn’t want us to be apart. Didn't I tell you before that even if you make me your mistress in case you choose to marry another woman, it's okay with me? Because I don't want to be separated from you again. I don't want to be sad again because I only feel that when I'm not with you,” she said in a long statement of her desire to erase what Jason says is the guilt he feels when he thinks about everything she went through before.

“Thank you so much, sweetheart. For the love and this family,” Jason kissed her hand that he has been holding and then her stomach.

“I love you; you are my first love. You were the first to teach me how to love, how beautiful love is, so maybe that is the reason why you are the only one that I want to love and I will continue to love, forever,” she said with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I love you, and as for me you will always be my greatest love, my wife, forever and eternity," that's all Jason answered and then their lips met.

First love, a special love that others say, never dies. Meant to stay in the heart, that's why maybe the saying that first love never dies was born ...

But what she can say is not just the simple sweetness of first love. Because Jason is her first and last, her great love. So, she didn’t forget him, so he was all her heart knew. Because he made her feel the kind of love that no one else could give her. Because that is the greatest, and that greatness is the reason why they are here today.

They will fill this home with love. And that's where she and Jason will live. They will wake up every day with a twinkle in their eyes. How each day they will share the warmth of the great love they have for one another, and there they will cling so that they remain steadfast, not only for themselves but also, and even more so for their future children.
