CHAPTER 23 "CONFESSION KISS IN THE RAIN"

JASON had even planned to call or even text Jenny but in the end, he still lost the courage to pursue it. He knew it was his fault, he admitted it but he couldn't help but lose his patience especially and the young lady seemed to be showing him that she wasn't affected by his anger.

He was on duty at the baggage counter and soon his and Daniel's last period will begin. At that time no one goes to the library very much. Some of the students have returned home and others are in their respective classes.

Then his cellphone rang. It was Cathy, the woman he was currently dating. She asks if he can take her home. That's when he shook his head.

Cathy and he have only been together for one week but why does he feel like this? Does he seem tired right away? Because the truth is he prefers to take Jenny home. He knew that if she continued to be close to that man, Leo would soon fall in love with the young lady and everyone would surely end up in courtship.

"Oh you really," he whispered annoyed then sighed.

"The was quite deep!"

Because his mind was busy, he did not notice Daniel approach him.

"Dude are you going to kill me with a heart attack?" he asked.

Daniel laughed. "You know what you are very problematic when the truth is that your pride is your real enemy."

"I can't even understand myself. I don't know if I'm afraid of her because this is the first time she resists me like this or maybe it's just pride," he said in a confused tone.

"It's as simple as this, ask yourself, just in case, can you let her go and be with someone else? I mean, can you entrust her to another man?" Daniel started. "You know Ara is right, that Leo would be very lucky once he got Jenny. How about you? Are you willing to lose her forever just because you're scared or because of your pride?"

"I think my patience has reached the limit," he said.

"I don't think so, I think the right term with what you feel is that you are very jealous. Admit it, you're in love with her and that's the real reason why you're like that. Don't force yourself to turn to others what is not possible, be fair with women, you have to choose, is it Jenny the one that you truly love and afraid of losing and was able to annoy and upset your heart, or the woman you are currently dating now that we both know you don't really feel anything with? " Daniel's long but calm conversation with him.

Jason immediately let out a deep sigh at what his friend had said. Daniel is right, and now he seems to want to believe that he is really in love with Jenny.

"Do you think I'm in love with her?"

At that question, Daniel laughed at him. Why is he so blind to things that in fact he is so lucky? Now he seemed to want to feel guilty for avoiding Daniel and Ara since they had confessed to them about the state of their relationship.

Because of that, he became close to Paul, another classmate who, like Daniel, had good status in life.

But whether he admits it or not, he knows for himself that there is no one like Daniel.

He is still his best friend and he knows that no one can replace or match him.

"Frankly, you're not just very much in love, you're head over heels with her. That's the truth," he said tapping him on the shoulder afterward.

When he remained silent Daniel spoke again.

"You have to do something because once you lost her, believe me, bro, that's the woman you'll really regret for the rest of your life," he said before he finally left.

*****

IT WAS NIGHT when heavy rain fell. As Jenny stared out the window she couldn't help but feel concerned for Jason that she knew was just coming home at that moment.

At the young man's thought, the young lady immediately felt a sharp drawing of pain in her chest. She then moved to sleep when she heard a series of knocks on their gate.

The young lady's beautiful eyebrows immediately met along with the mixture of nervousness and longing she felt. She hurried to the door, thinking she already knew who was knocking and she wasn't mistaken.

When she turned on the light on the terrace of their house she saw Jason standing there and drenched in rainwater.

She hurried to get an umbrella. Then she went out to let Jason in.

"Why don't you have an umbrella? What if you ---,"

Jenny could not finish the rest of what she wanted to say to the young man when he suddenly grabbed her neck tightly then pulled her and pressed a kiss firmly on her lips.

Surprised, lost in her own self, or as if bitten by a snake?

Jenny didn’t know which was the more correct word that could be used to describe how she felt at that moment. Because the truth is, in shock her hand suddenly weakened so she finally let go of the umbrella she was holding.

"I love you, Jen and I just want to tell you that I'm jealous so I don't want any man to approach you. Because I just want you to be mine, that's the truth, tell me, do you love me too, huh? " when Jason released her lips the young lady remained dumbfounded as she looked up watching Jason as he spoke.

"W-What did you say?" when she recovered from the shock that was her stuttering question.

Then Jason smiled. He bent down again and then kissed her lips for the second time.

"You love me too, don't you?" in the tone of Jason's speech it seemed that he could no longer wait to hear her answer to his question.

But Jenny remained as if she were not herself. She didn’t know if it was because of Jason’s delicious kiss that she didn’t expect, or because of the very romantic way he made his confession to her? Or because her first kiss happened before the confession and still under the pouring rain?

She thinks her answer would be, all of the above!

"Ara told you about that didn't she?" she said instead.

It was then that his smile widened and faster than four o'clock when Jason hugged her tightly. He then released her and locked her face with his both hands.

"I love you, Jen. I love you so much. Or maybe Daniel is more correct in saying that I'm so head over heels and crazy for you?" he said, pressing his own forehead to hers.

It was as if everything had just suddenly sunk into Jenny. So the corners of her eyes quickly warmed up and she finally burst into tears.

"Y-You love me too? I thought you had a girlfriend?" she said between crying.

Jason nodded.

“There is, you, you are my girlfriend,” he said.

"You don't have ---?"

Jason nodded."There's nothing else because now everything is clear to me, I love you so you should be by my side, and I should also be by your side because we love each other."

Jenny opened her mouth again to speak. But everything else that she wanted to say was suppressed when for the third time Jason reclaimed her lips. But this time it was more intense, deeper, which is why she didn't even seem to feel the coldness of the rainwater pouring down on the two of them.
