CHAPTER 45 “LOVE BITES”

INSIDE the bathroom Jenny was immediately greeted by her reflection in the large mirror. It was then that She saw that her whole body was full of small and red marks, particularly on the part of her two breasts as well as her abdomen.

It was then that she remembered how warmly Jason had claimed her and made her happy all night. And while playing over and over about that in her mind, the young lady couldn't stop herself from blushing again.

But even if she didn't admit it, she knew that if it happened again she would still like it. Because as she said, if what the two of them were doing could be called a sin, Jason was the kind of sin she couldn’t avoid.

Jenny just made her shower quick. She just came out of the bathroom when she heard a series of knocks on the door. She knew who it was, so with the nervousness that immediately shook her chest, there was also the undeniable excitement that she felt.

"Good morning," Jason greeted her with a smile.

Jenny smiled then decided to loosen the door when she saw the young man carrying a tray of food.

"How was your sleep? The young man asked her softly after he laid the tray on the small table.

Jenny nodded then handed a mug of coffee she knew was for Jason. After that, she sat down in the chair opposite the young man.

"When do you think you can have time to accompany me visiting Ara's grave?" that's what she thought to ask then took pandesal, put a scrambled egg on it, and handed it to Jason again.

She didn't have to say more about it. The truth is that she missed taking care of him how excited she was to experience taking care of him as well.

"When do you want to?" Jason asked her.

Jenny shrugged then sipped her coffee. "I thought I shouldn't extend my vacation anymore since I'm okay already," she told Jason and that is the truth.

She saw the young man's face quickly reflect intense disappointment. "I thought you said it okay for Aunt Rowena to extend your vacation? Is it because of what happened to us last night and the other day?" Jason's concurrent question.

Jenny couldn't help but laugh softly as she saw Jason's reaction. After a while, she stared at the young man then smiled and explained.

"Of course not, it's just, for me, I'm okay so I thought about going home. I also have a lot to fix in our bakery especially and my mother can't do that alone. I don't want her to get tired, she's not young anymore, that's why," she explained.

As she said that she saw Jason's chest rise and fall as he pulled and let out a sigh.

"But, just in case I can visit you again, can't I? Can I visit you? I want to court you, formally," the man said directly to Jenny again and Jenny couldn't stop her smile from widening.

"Court me, formally?" she asked in amusement.

"Yes, I told you didn't I? And I'm serious about that," he insisted then stared at her with admiration.

Jenny quickly averted her gaze from Jason when she felt a strange feeling that the young man had given her. At that moment as he stared at her she feels that as if she is so beautiful. But she also could not deny the fact that she could not meet his gaze.

She did not have the courage to do that and she thought the young man noticed it in her.

"You haven't changed, Jen. Despite everything we did last night and the other day, aren't you still immune to my charm?" Jason's tempting question to her.

Jenny then abruptly raised her head and stared at the young man. But she only regretted it because she was embarrassed that her face got so hot when she was surprised by Jason's wink at her.

"S-Stop it! Don't play those trips on me!" she said as she picked up her cup of coffee again and took a sip.

A malicious smile flashed on Jason's lips. "All right, just like that," he said.

That was when Jenny stared at Jason with her eyes asking questions. "What?"

"I'll just give you a ride home, so I can talk to Aunt Rowena," Jason said.

Jenny shook her head with Jason's words. "No, my mother is no longer mad at you," she informed him.

"Are you serious? Aunt Rowena was mad at me?" Jason's worried question to her.

It was then that Jenny nodded. "I hope you understand why she did that. She saw how much I was affected by what happened. And as a mother, it's normal for her to be angry with the person who hurt her daughter, isn't it?" her question made the young man understand.

Jason nodded understandingly then smiled. "But if you think you can stop me from my plan to give you a ride home, you're wrong. I'll talk to Aunt Rowena as well, and I'll let her know about my plan of winning you back."

The tone of Jason's speech was so clear that Jenny thought it might be better if she just let it happen. After all, it had been a long time since what had happened to the two of them, perhaps that would not be a problem for her mother.

"Okay, but I haven't even told her about it yet. She doesn't even know we've met again."

"I mean there's a good chance she'll be surprised? Anyway, when do you plan to go home?" at the end that's what Jason asked her.

"Maybe tomorrow? You know, just like I told you, right? Since I'm okay already so there's no reason for me to extend my vacation. I have a business to take care of so I think it's about time to return to Manila," Jenny explained.

"Okay," Jason said then sipped the coffee from its cup. "Do you want us to visit Ara's grave today and then come back here or tomorrow before we drove back to Manila?"

"We?" she hesitated again at the last word the young man said.

"I'll be back too, just like you said I also have a business to take care of," he told her.

"Of course you didn't continue what you were telling me before about Paul, your business partner?"

"Yes, his uncle sold his firm to us," Jason replied.

Jenny couldn't help but feel admiration for the young man. "The great thing is, you're a big-time now. Anyway, even then I knew you could go far because you're very hardworking and smart," the young lady couldn't help but say which caused the man's eyes to sparkle.

"Really?" said Jason as he moved the chair closer to her where she was currently sitting.

Jenny's chest heaved with excitement because of the young man's actions. And it intensified, even more, when he brought his face close to hers and his fragrant breath crossed her face.

Jenny nodded consecutively and then averted her eyes from the young man. And since she wasn't looking at him, she was shocked when Jason's teasingly planted a simple kiss on her cheek. She turned her attention to him because of his action. But she did not expect that his face was so close to hers that she inhaled violently at the sudden and accidental touching of their lips.
