On instinct, I handed my flash card to Mistress Crandall instead of Luka and walked in front of the Professor's desk. Taking a deep breath, I focused on my succubus spirit, calling forward her power so I could feed from Luka, knowing that the power gifted to him by Loki would be ideal for the creation I had in mind. Reality Warping in itself causes mayhem when people are reacting to the warped reality, and then it causes complete chaos when the person being targeted realizes that their reality has been warped. I take little sips of Luka's aura, small enough to where no one in the class, aside from my Fated, would know what I was doing. Once I felt his power churning through my bloodstream, I took a stance pictured in the book, my feet slightly spread apart, and my arms hanging loosely by my side, my palms facing in a downright position, ironically toward Hell, as I drew on Loki's power. I closed my eyes and pictured the scene I wanted.
The classroom starts to shake, the ground wobbling; with each minute that passes, the quakes get stronger. The sound of the ground shifting grows louder until suddenly, it opens up, splitting right down the middle. The students sitting along the fault line fall into the abyss, their screams echoing as they descend into the darkness. A slight breeze can be felt amongst the chaos of the world dividing, a breeze that brings with it an artic chill, causing everyone in the class to freeze, making it impossible to move their limbs. The freezing wind makes the tips of their ears and nose red, their lips blue, and the tears dripping from their eyes due to the ferocity of its blow are freezing on their cheeks. Then comes the lighting, striking, unrelenting, electrocuting every other student. It's static, starting fire wherever it touches. I grin like a madwoman when I see Kayla set afire, her skin melting, just as I pictured her earlier. The sight feels my body with satisfaction. But still, I'm not done; I have the grand finale. The lights begin to flicker amongst all the chaos, each flicker lasting longer than the last until the flickering stop and the bulbs explode, showering everyone with glass and nicking their skin. With no lights on, the classroom becomes pitch black, so dark that you feel blind, your eyesight gone. And then the noises start up. First, the demonic screams of monsters long gone, then comes the sound of tearing flesh, followed by the echoing screams of someone dying, and lastly comes the manic laughter, a laugh so terrifying that it'll haunt you in your dreams.
And then, with the rise of my hands, my palms facing upward toward the heavens, it all stops, and the classroom is restored to normality; the only changes are the terrified expressions on the student's faces and the shocked look on the proctors.
Smiling, I turn to Luka and give him a quick wink before skipping to my desk and taking a seat. Once seated, I flick my wrist and cover the classroom in Divine Light, restoring the energy in the room, removing the residual darkness that had lingered behind me, and releasing the students from their fear.
While waiting in my seat for the midterms to end and watching the other presentations, I found that I didn't care about the others' reactions toward my display. So, what if all the students are terrified of me now; let them fear me. So, what if the scenes I've created somehow get back to the council; let them know my power. Because from this day forth, no one will fuck with me, and after today, everyone in the Four Kingdoms will know my strength, will, and the darkness that taints my soul.
