Katrina

I understood his worry. Miles commands the Divine Army. Everything he does, every battle plan he comes up with, has to be perfect. Every detail needed to be brushed over with a fine tooth comb, leaving no room for error, before he'd be willing to act it out. And this battle plan, it had pieces missing from it. There were too many different outcomes for him not to be worried about it, but it's the only plan we have.

"Okay," I replied in agreement, nodding my head. "You can tell the council it was Divine Light, and you can inform them of the incident with Freyja. I doubt they'll do anything to her. I'm sure they'll say that anyone could've replaced the weapons and that Freyja couldn't stop the midterm once it started, but I guess it's worth a shot."

"I'll deal with Freyja," Miles stated, venom dripping in his tone, his rage so fierce, it caused his aura to whip around the entire gymnasium, shaking the ground beneath us. "While Luka talks to the council, we're going to my father's. Freyja will be banished from this realm before the sun sets."

"I'm coming with," Aphelion stated, not wanting to be left behind.

"Me too," Beckett declared, more than likely worried about Miles losing control with me present.

"i'll go with Luka." Samael stated, leaning in to give me a brief kiss, "We will meet you at Ares' house. Don't leave until we get back. I want to make sure you're safe, and Miles' place is the most secure building I've seen."

"Okay," I whispered, leaning in to kiss him once more, before turning my attention to Luka.

"We will talk later tonight." I smiled, trying to ease his worry, "I need a kiss before you leave, though."

"Of course, Kit-Kat. I wouldn't dare leave you behind without saying Goodbye."

"No, I hate goodbyes. They sound to permanent. This isn't a goodbye kiss; it's a see you later kiss. Promise me you'll stay safe and that you'll leave at the first signs of danger." I whispered, feeling overly anxious about him and Samael journeying to the Sky realm without us.

"We'll be fine, Katrina. You have nothing to worry about." He smiled reassuringly, giving me one more kiss, before grabbing Luka's hand and teleporting to Zeus' kingdom.

It wasn't until I was in the car, nestled between Aphelion and Miles, while Beckett drove that I realized he never promised me his safety. Biting my lip, I tried not to fret. Trying to reassure myself that, He and Samael were kings of their own territory, and surely that granted them some protection.
