"He asked for the same thing you just asked of me. He asked me to seal his powers." Ursula sneered, spilling my secret for all to hear.
Katrina gave me a look of betrayal, while Samael looked sadden. Miles and Beckett's expressions were blank, but I could tell by the twitching of Miles's vein in his upper left arm that he was irritated; at whom he was irritated, I have no idea.
"Why would you want your powers sealed?" Katrina asked, breaking the silence that had followed Ursula's comment.
"Because he's an abomination." Ursala cackled, "Born with the blood of both the god and goddess of chaos, he was bound to be dark before he even took his first breath.
The twitching vein in Miles's arm was now twitching in his temple; I let out a sigh of relief, knowing that his irritation was solely from the sea witch. With how rapidly his vein was twitching, I expected Miles to berate Ursula first, so I was wholeheartedly shocked when Beckett jumped to it.
"Listen, Aunt." Beckett snared his lip, curling in disgust as he spits out the word Aunt. "I didn't go out of my way to rescue you from Tartarus so you can talk down to one of mine; I brought you here to help Katrina, and since my mate has already rejected your assistance, you can go ahead and remove yourself from this house. You have an hour."
As I stared over at Beckett in shock, I noticed a small smirk curl up on Katerina's face; he was winning some serious brownie points with this demonstration; I only hoped for her sake it was because Beckett had decided to give up his otherworldly views and cross over to the dark side; at least that's how the majority of the Gods and Goddess would say.
"Ha ha ha ha ha." Ursula cackled, her vibrant red hair falling loosely from her clip swinging down her back as she laughed at Beckett.
"You?" She cackled at Beckett, stepping close to him and then jabbing her finger into his chest, "you, silly little weak, pathetic son of Posideon, you think you can kick me out?"
It didn't take long after Ursula spit that sentence for chaos to unfold. Katrina went flying toward her; her entire body erupted in hellfire; Samael's body was biting the bright blue flame of the underworld as he tried to reach Katrina before she severely maimed or, worse, killed Ursula. Beckett's temper was released with an onset of pouring rain, likely to turn into flash flooding if he continued, and Mile used his powers as the Earth Kingdom heir to manipulate the ground where Ursula stood.
I could feel my powers feeding off of it, and by the time I'd had my full, it took everything in me not to join in on the ensuing battle.
"Enough!" I shouted, in a tone I normally used during school after a divine power tournament, shocking almost the entirety of the cluster fuck of people. Ursula, of course, was the only one not phased by my commands.
It didn't take Miles long to recover from my shouting; he was always the most stubborn in my class. The moment he'd shaken by my command, he melted the steel wall of his bugout shelter and used an earthquake-type skill to maneuver Ursula out of the room. He quickly made work of sealing the wall, and I wondered how often he and the other heirs had come out here to sneak a drink or get some fresh air, but I could tell by Miles's quick improvements that he's practiced his fixing over and over again.
"Okay," Katrina growled, "Now that the trash has been taken out, I want to know everything."
I let out a heavy sigh; my past wasn't something I liked to talk about, nor was it something I felt comfortable discussing with this group yet, but I knew it'd come out eventually, especially now that I'd be in the limelight too. I could already see the news articles, "Loki's long lost heir is finally claiming his throne. Will the mystery man with the chilling past be a fair and just ruler?"
I let my magic, my true magic, flow through my veins, and I sent waves over to Katrina and Samael, wrapping them in it, and I couldn't help but notice the differences in their reactions. Samael jumped like his entire body was on fire; Katrina's hellfire roared fiercely, my darkness feeding into hers, kindling her fire to its peak.
"What was that?" Katrina asked as the others took a step away, worried her flames would harm them.
"My true powers, the power that Ursula locked down tight. Your magic called to mine, awakening it from its slumber."
I let out a sigh, my eyes filling with worry, worry that Katrina and Samael would see me differently after they learned my truth, worry that my mates would leave me, and worry that I'll be alone in this world again.

**SEVEN YEARS AGO**
**************************
"Luka!" My long-time best friend and new girlfriend Heather called, screaming with delight when she opened up the door and saw me. "I've missed you so much! How's the academy life? How's learning magic?"
"I missed you too, gorgeous." I replied smilingly up at her as she stepped aside to allow me access to her home."
Heather's face tinged pink as she blushed bashfully before standing on her tiptoes and kissing my lips gently. "I missed you too. I'm just so excited to hear about your newest endeavor."
Heather grabbed my hand, leading me up the winding staircase; the path to her room was so familiar that I could walk it with my eyes closed.
"And I plan to show you just how much I missed you after you answer all my questions," Heather replied, winking at me.
I growled at her, lunging and grabbing her around the ankles, heaving her over my back caveman style, slapping her cute little ass as I took the stairs two at a time.
"I'll answer your questions, little vixen, and then I'll show your body just how much it's missed me."
Heather lets out a scream, I can't tell if it's in fear of me dropping her or in the delight of my promises, but her scream calls to my inner beast, the part of me that's terrified me since my divine powers awoke. I pushed the darkness down, not wanting the turmoil in my body to distract me from the girl I was falling in love with. When we reach Heather's room, I sling her onto the bed and plop down between her legs, hovering over her.
"So gorgeous; what would you like to know?" I ask her, nuzzling into her throat.
"What's it like? How are the teachers?
Did you make any friends yet? Have you learned what your divine gift is?"
I let out a little chuckle at her excitement. "It's pretty posh. The students mostly come from higher-up families, sticking to their kingdoms. Still, I doubt you'll have any problems fitting in, seeing how you're descended from the beautiful goddess Aphrodite herself." I reply, letting my breath heat the sensitive part of her neck.
"Hmm, what else…." I pretend to think, slowly tapping my fingers down her legs, causing her to let out a small groan, "oh, that's right, the teachers. They're fine, a bit boring to listen to, in my opinion, but they get the job done. No, I haven't made any friends yet; my free time is mostly spent thinking about you and how long it'll be until I can plunge myself into this again." I state, cupping her sex, enjoying the gasp she lets out as she grinds herself against my hand. I can feel the heat coming off her through her jeans.
I pull my head from her neck and smile up and her wickedly, "and magic," I state as I slowly dip my hand into the front of her jeans and rub my finger across her panties, "I've learned a few things, but what I want to show you is a skill that I need help practicing even more," I reply slipping my finger into the side of her panties, letting the tip of my finger gently glide over her clit.
"Fuck Luka," she groans, pulling my face down and covering her mouth with mine. Her hands roamed over my body as she tried to get me undressed as quickly as possible.
Soon we're lying naked side by side, letting our hands freely roam our bodies, when we hear a loud, angry crash downstairs.
"Shit." Heather hissed, "My dad's home early; you've got to leave now."
Heather flies off the bed in a panic, hurriedly getting dressed, and I follow suit. Her father was never happy about us being friends, but when he found out we were dating, he went ballistic, threatening to have Heather shipped off to a boarding school in the sky kingdom.
As I'm pulling on my shirt, the door flies open, and I'm hit with a burst of wind that hurls me into Heather's vanity.
"Daddy, no!" Heather shrieks as her father stomps toward me.
"I told you once that I don't want this trash near you, and I will not be repeating myself. It's time this ungrateful piece of shit learns a lesson on respect." Her father roars, shoving Heather aside as his winds repeatedly strike me, shoving my body against the vanity as the cold hard air slashes into my skin. With each cut, I feel the darkness inside me growing larger and larger. It's up against the walls I've built around it, pushing for a way to escape; I can feel it already sipping through, simmering just below my skin.
Her father grabs me by the throat, yanking me forward, before slamming my back against the cabinet door, causing me to let out a groan of pain. "You're nothing, boy. You have the blood of Eris and Loki in your veins. Your dad was a nobody, and your mom was a stain on society. You…"
Her father didn't have the chance to continue to insult me as my unleashed darkness wreaked havoc through the house. As it exploded from my chest, there was nothing I could do to stop it. I watched as it stole the lives of Heather and her father, twisting their minds with its darkness until there was nothing left but mush. I didn't realize what had happened until it was all over, and Headmaster Simmins clutched me in his arms. I hadn't even noticed when he or the authorities had arrived.
The entire incident was kept hush-hush; the rulers of the four kingdoms and their councils didn't want our society to know that a student at Divine Academy had lost control of his powers. While I was old enough to care for myself, Headmaster Simmins still took me under his wing and helped me through my studies. He tried everything to help me control my dark powers, but every effort failed. Terrified I'd hurt someone else, I kept to myself, hiding out in Tartarus and exploring Lilith's prison, a place that quickly became my sanctuary. One day while exploring Lilith's prison, looking for any information I could find on Loki that wasn't in a library, I became entrapped by Ursula's song. On that day, nearly two and a half years later, I finally discovered what I'd been searching for, a way to bury my darkness for good.
