Chapter 66

**ARIELLE'S POV**


“Mate?”

Keira coughed out weirdly. “I never said that..” she denied immediately.

I turned to Luciana and could only pray she would believe. Finding out about about wolves would definitely cause trouble for everyone, Duncan included. I wanted to blame Keira so bad but I knew I couldn't, she was still little after all.


“That's what you said.. mates..like soulmates,right?”

I coughed out in relief. “Something like that.”

“Then how do you know he's not your soulmate?”

“Well,I don't know.”

She moved closer to me and gasped. “Are you perhaps?..”

My heartbeat increased again as I waited for her to complete her words.

“Are you perhaps doubting his love for you? Does it feel like he's not always thinking about you or something like that?”

“Eh?”


She moved back and sighed. “Although I may not look it,I'm actually a love expert.”


“Eh?” I said again,confused.


She groaned. “Sure,you may not believe me but I've helped a lot of people have a stable relationship.”


“Really?”


“Yes..that's one of the ways I survived after escaping from the pedophilic rapist. “ she puffed out her chest and smirked in pride. “I've helped countless people have a good relationship like a….. what is it called?” She asked herself.


“A matchmaker?” Keira completed.


“Yes! That! I've been a matchmaker so I know a lot about this stuff. I learnt a lot from my parents. Although they're dickheads,they love each other quite a lot.”


“Wow!” Keira exclaimed.


“No,there's no stress between us but sometimes you feel like that. A sick feeling really.” I admitted, even though it was a complete lie.


“All girls go through that actually. It's called insecurity. It usually occurs whenever we meet someone who we might consider better than us.”


“That can never happen, Arielle is a big egoist. She would never admit someone is prettier than she is.”


“That's only because I've not met anyone who is as good looking as I am.” I defended. “Except maybe Luciana. She's the only one I've met that I consider pretty.”


“Will she be coming as well?”.Luciana asked.


“Yes,she will be coming with us.”


“I can't wait to see her ,dressed in a fancy gown and all.”


We all chuckled.


“I wonder why I really like her..” Luciana confessed.


“That's probably because she has a very lovable character.”


“No wonder Damon likes her.” Keira commented, breathing out.


We went downstairs for some snacks and decided to play a game while waiting. Gaming was one of the things Keira was really good at,one of the things that gave her satisfaction.


“Okay! Here we go!” She exclaimed excitedly as she wore her headphones.


“I dont think I'm so good at gaming…” Luciana confessed,smiling too wide. “I'm only good at it when I'm dreaming.”


“What?!” Keira yelled,removing her headphones.


Luciana stuck her tongue out and before we knew it,she slept off.


Keira and I played with her barking orders at me and everyone in her team..


“Use your poison blade,reyxer! I need backup! No! Yes! I'm out of bullets!”


I was flustered and intrigued by all the action happening. She continued yelling until..


“VICTORY! YOUR TEAM HAS WON!” A robotic voice announced.


“YES!!” she flung off the headphones and came to hug me. “We won a ranked game! Thanks Arielle.”


“No problem..” I replied,staring at her like a fish out of water. The only thing I did was to lose and get killed continually,but I was happy.


“Yes! We won!” Luciana exclaimed, waking
up.


“What did you win?” Keira asked,raising her brows.


“The game I was playing, I won,I saved everyone with my ultimate move..”


Keira scoffed. “More like ultimate snore..”


“Wahh..!”


I watched the both of them bicker and couldn't help but laugh.


We wandered back upstairs, into my study. I checked the time and wondered why Duncan wasn't back yet.


The girls had begun talking about something else.


“Well,the first person I ever liked was Robin.” Keira confessed, raising her hands in mock surrender.


Luciana gasped in mockery. “Eww,why? When superboy is there.”


“I feel like superboy has depression. Don't blame me,it's just my choice.


“What about you,Luciana? Who was the first person you ever liked?”


“Well,it was when I turned 15. He had blonde hair and green eyes. He was tall and had a nice voice. I asked him out,after swallowing my fear of anything happening. I was traumatized after all.”


“Then,what did he say?”


“Well,he smiled at me and I was like he was definitely going to say yes but then, the dude was like…no way am I dating you,you look at least eight years old.”


“No way!” Keira gasped,shaking her head


“Yeah! He did say that, so for a while,I lost all interest in anything related to relationships.”


“But,what about now? Anyone you find handsome or worth crushing on?” I asked


“Well,if I'm being honest,the only person I find hot is Damon.”


“Luciana!”Keira shrieked.


“Damon already likes her.”I stated.


“I know right,and I cannot help but feel that she likes him too.” Luciana said,sighing a little. “I guess every girl with my name is attracted to that guy. He's handsome for real!”


“What about Duncan?” Keira asked.


“Meh, he's good looking and gorgeous but he looks like he has murder in his mind.” Luciana confessed.


“You think so too,right?” Keira asked.


“I wonder what you see in him.” Luciana stated.


“You know, women like men like that.” Keira said.


“Why would you like that? But I will not dispute the fact with you. Women do like men like that. Bad boy and aloof character, cold gaze,rich and a scary aura. Women love all that.” Luciana added.


“You're right, we do.”I confirmed,blushing a little. These kids were something else.


“I know, it's really popular in a lot of books.” Keira informed
