Chapter 12
❤️❤️ Separate Ways (Part 12) ❤️❤️
"I am so sorry for that and also sorry for what she did to Storm. I hope you won't punish my family for her mistake." Warlord Emera apologize on the behalf of his daughter.
"Ready the 10 strongest warriors you have. I am taking Storm away from here tomorrow, I have had enough. Today is Juno, tomorrow it will be someone else. The look he is receiving is enough, I don't want more harm to come to my son," Emperor Ariadne said. "And I don't hold anything against you and your daughter, but I will advise that you use strong hands to train her. You can leave." he added with a wave of his hand.
"I am sorry once again old friend," Warlord Emera said, releasing the breath he didn't know he was holding. "Thank you so much for showing mercy upon me and my daughter. I won't forget today." he added and left the presence of the Emperor.
Emperor Ariadne went to sit close to Storm. Rubbing Storm's forehead gently. "Don't worry, you are safe."
It wasn't up to five minutes when Empress Rose walked into the room. Throwing one disgusting look at Storm before bringing her gaze to her husband.
"I must applaud Juno for doing a job well done. If I was in her position, you know what I would have done to him. By now, you would be preparing to bury him," Empress Rose said, causing Storm to whimper.
"Rose, one more word from you and I will forget that you are my wife."
"That is all you can do, threaten me. You haven't even asked me if I was okay with his staying since he came here. I don't like him nor do your children like him."
"He is also my child, my son and there is nothing you can do to change that."
"There is actually something we could do together. We kill him," Empress Rose said prompting the Emperor to glare at her. "I just wish he dies from this wound. It will be so perfect." she added.
"Get out," Emperor Ariadne growled.
Huffing out in annoyance, Empress Rose left the room.
Softly kissing Storm's forehead, Emperor Ariadne sighed..
"Don't listen to what Storm says. You have me, always." he whispers. "I am taking you somewhere where you will stay. No one will hurt you ever again."

Warlord Emera House:
When Warlord Emera returned, he was told Rumi was awake. Some builders were there, rebuilding the broken wall. They greeted him when he came to inspect them.
"Where is Juno?" he asked the guard that brought the news to him.
"She is training at the back of the house."
"Okay," Warlord Emera said and heard the grunt Juno was making. He ignored that and entered his house.
Juno always vents out her anger through fighting.
"Rumi, how are you feeling now?" He asked when he saw her. She was sitting on the bed, drinking water with the help of a female servant.
Warlord Emera waited until the servant left before he went to sit next to Rumi. "How are you feeling now, Rumi?"
"G-reat fa-ther," she stammered. "W-hy ar-e y-ou s-ad?"
"It's Juno,"
"Wh-at di-d s-he d-o?"
"She injured Prince Storm when he was coming here."
"Ar-e yo-u su-re s-he is t-he o-ne wh-o di-d th-at?"
"The servants with the Prince when the incident happened said it was Juno. I couldn't believe but when Storm woke up and mentioned Juno's name, I believed him. Juno had told me she wanted to use the toilet, maybe she had used that as a disguise to leave the house."
"I a-m so-rry, b-ut I be-lieve Ju-no. May-be s-he did-n't d-o it," Rumi said in sadness.
"I don't know who to believe," Warlord Emera said. "And Storm won't lie, I could sense fear when he saw her. He wouldn't lie."
Rumi nodded her head but didn't say anything.
"Those who attacked you, did you by any chance see their faces? How many are they?"
"Th-ey all we-ar ma-sks a-nd th-ey we-re ab-out fi-ve in num-bers. Mot-her has ju-st co-me to gi-ve me fo-od an-d I w-as eat-ing it wh-en th-ey ca-me. Th-ey ca-me th-rou-gh t-he win-dow." By the time Rumi has finish speaking, she was breathing heavily.
"It's okay my dear. I will find the killer."
"Ple-ase, fi-nd th-em an-d k-ill th-em. Th-ey ki-lle-d h-er mer-cile-ssly a-nd wan-ted to k-ill m-e if no-t th-at y-ou ca-me at the ri-ght time. Th-ey we-re so qui-et and fa-st that no-ne of the gu-ards kne-w th-at th-ey we-re he-re," she said in tears.
"It's okay. They won't escape." Warlord Emera promises as he stands up. "Get some sleep, I have got things to do. Storm is leaving Ashland tomorrow."
*********
That night after Juno had finished venting all her anger on an innocent new trainee she saw her father leaving with some warriors- the oldest ones who have already finished their training and was waiting for their positions- but she didn't stop him to find out; she was still angry at her father. Probably it was time for them to be given their positions by the Emperor. She went to her room Rumi has now occupied. The huge white candle gave brightness to the room.
"Are you feeling any pain?" Juno asked.
Rumi smiled and shook her head not too hard.
"Father and I had some misunderstanding this morning and he asked me to apologise to Storm for something I never did. Apparently
Storm believed I would hurt him. How can I hurt a boy I like?"
"Fa-ther to-ld m-e st-orm is le-avi-ng to-mor-row." Rumi told her.
"What? Was that serious? I should have apologized to him when I was asked to. Now he is leaving Ashland because of me." that explains the warriors with her father.
"Y-ou ca-n go to h-im be-fore he le-aves to-mor-row." Rumi suggested.
Juno- smiled at that idea but suddenly frowned. "I can't. He doesn't want to see me. He is afraid of me, Rumi. I saw it in his eyes when he looked at me. I can't go."
"Th-en l-et m-e g-o fo-r y-ou. H-e wi-ll se-e m-e."
