Chapter 32

'The one who walks on the path of his heart, he can change the world.'

❤️❤️❤️  A Man Called Storm (Part 3) ❤️❤️❤️

"You are not happy she's dead, are you?" Rumi asked, watching the sad emotions on Storm's face. He was not a good pretender so she could see past that smile. "You are wishing she's still alive, you are wishing she was the one.... standing right here instead of me, right?" she asked again.

"Don't force words into my mouth Rumi, I don't even like her and I am sad, do you want to know why?" Storm asked and didn't wait for Rumi to respond before he answered his own question. "I am sad because she died but not in my hands. I am sad because I wanted to be the one that would end her, rip out her heart and then watch her die slowly. But she died before I could fulfill all my promises, all my promises I made to myself to do to her once I am back. She should be happy that I didn't meet her alive." he added, his tone of his voice changing into a dangerous tone.

Rumi smiled when she heard that.

"What killed her?" Storm asked all of a sudden.

"She was planning an ambush on you as before when she and the servants she took were attacked by some unknown people, she was going to beat and stop you from going but unfortunately for her, Juno got beaten to death," Rumi explained further.

Storm stared at her for a long time, probably a few minutes, and didn't blink his eyes. His eyes are unreadable.

"What?" Rumi asked.

"Nothing, go one," Storm said briefly, shaking his head, closing his eyes for a minute before opening them to look at Rumi.

"Now, he thinks I am Juno, he calls me Juno every now and then, he probably forgets what my real name is now." Rumi said as she turned slightly to look at the miserable form of the once feared Warlord Emera and smiled inwardly.

"I will send someone to bathe him, it looks as if he hasn't smelled the bathroom for days now."

"No!" Rumi shouted and then quickly added when she saw the look. "I mean to say no. That shouldn't bother you, once I am done cooking I will bathe him." the more dirtier and unclean Emera is, the more he becomes sad and miserable and whatever he is going through. So she has to keep Emera dirty.

"I am not satisfied with that Rumi, I will send someone to wash him, a brother of mine. At least I am repaying the favor he did for me year's back, he slapped Juno because of me so I am doing this unless you are bathing him right now."

"I will do that, okay, I promise you that." Rumi rushed her statement.

"You better, because I will be coming back to check on him."

"Did you keep it?" She asked, changing the topic.

"Keep what?"

"The half pendant I gave to you on that night you were to leave Ashland, did you keep it like you promised or you've lost it?"

"Yes, I kept it," he said and look across her shoulder, "Gwen, come here."

Why is he calling that girl over here? Rumi thought as she stopped herself from making the ground open and swallowed the approaching girl.

"Yes," Gwen said once she reached them.

"Where is the pendant I gave to you for you to keep for me?" Storm asked softly.

"Oh that," Gwen said, bringing out the half pendant hanging loosely on her neck. "This pendant?"

"Yes," Storm said and returned his gaze back to Rumi. "See, it's safe."

"Why did you give it to her?" Rumi asked, pained and wasn't even hiding it.

"Oh, he could lose things, in fact he had lost it one day during his training and I helped him to pick it up for him. So since he said he doesn't want to lose something important like that, he made me wear it. I am a better keeper plus this pendant doesn't suit you a little. Did you steal it?"

"Watch your tongue young lady or I will be forc-----"

Rumi was interrupted by Storm when he asked out of blue.

"Where was she buried?"

Nobody needed to tell Rumi which 'She' he was referring to because she knows that not showing him her grave would bring suspicion and she doesn't want that.

"That's her grave," she said nonchalantly, pointing at a place filled with overgrown bushes and Storm went there without saying anything. "Why did he give you my pendant?" Rumi demanded once Storm was at the other side of the compound, stepping on the bushes to get to Juno's grave. He wouldn't miss it, her name was engraved on a head stone which was standing over the place she was buried, buried beside her mother.

"You heard me didn't you?"

"And I choose not to reply," Gwen said. Both girls are staring at the back of Storm.

"Let me tell you this, he is mine," Rumi said and then to be sure of who she was talking about she added. "Storm is mine and I won't allow you or anyone to take my place besides him, do you hear? I have marked him so if you love your life and yourself, stay the hell away from him."

"He hasn't told you what I am to him yet, right?" Gwen said with a small smile.

"What do you mean? What are you to him?" Rumi demanded out of curiosity. Both girl's voices were low but they could still hear each other since they were standing close to themselves.

Gwen faces her and smiles. "I am his wife."

"You are lying," Rumi said, giving Gwen her attention.

"My father wanted us to marry before he died and to fulfill my father's last wish, he did. I was too young then but I liked him and I convinced my father to make him promise he would marry me. After my small ceremony with him, my father died. You said you have marked him right, but I have touched him, gone to bed with him, slept with him and oh my he is a very good kisser." Gwen told Rumi, her smile slowly turning into a smirk as she stared at the shocking face of Rumi.

She wouldn't tell Rumi how she had begged him to bed her. She wouldn't tell Rumi how he had gotten drunk from celebrating his new recent Power and she took that opportunity to have her way with him. She wouldn't tell Rumi how terrifying Storm was when he woke up the next day to their nakedness nor how he started keeping his distance from her or how Storm wouldn't stop referring to her as his sister and what they did was a mistake. Or how he had told her she was not obligated to him and that she was free to choose whoever she wants to be with but he can never feel the same way. He didn't love her, he only accepted to marry her because of the promise he made to her father.

Maybe one-day, just one-day he is going to see how much she loves him and he will stop treating her like a lover and not his sister.

"You are not having him Gwen or whatever it is you call yourself. I am not someone you should toy with," Rumi said with a big smile on her face. "He was mine before he left Ashland and I have been waiting for him to return." she added, still smiling.

"You know what Rumi, the few minutes I have spent with you just made me realize one thing though. You have such a big smile on your face but you are hiding so much evilness behind it."
