'My scars remind me that I did indeed survive my deepest wounds. That in itself is an accomplishment. And they bring to mind something else, too. They remind me that the damage life has inflicted on me has, in many places, left me stronger and more resilient. What hurt me in the past has actually made me better equipped to face the present.'

In Four Hours time, the three Kings under Ashland were in the Emperor's meeting room with Empress Rose, Warlord Marcus and Morgan.

Empress Rose, her brother and son sat on one side and the three Kings sat on the other side, facing the other three.

"I heard what happened, so I quickly left what I was doing and rushed down here. How can the Killers walk in here without without any of the guards knowing?" The King of Altamon, where Phoenix and her had once lived, asked. "A Palace filled with one thousand guards couldn't detect that something was wrong when they heard the breaking sound of the window or are they not trained to know when someone tiptoe?" he added.

"Even if they heard, they won't stand a chance against the Killers," Empress Rose said.

"And why did you say so, your highness?" The King of Gala, the second kingdom under Ashland, demanded.

"Because if my husband's personal well trained assassin's couldn't defeat the Killers, do you think a mere guard can do that?" Empress Rose replied. "It's impossible, whoever the Killers is, they are not ordinary."

"Let's forget about the Killers first and set a date we shall bury my father. Once he is probably buried, we shall return to this case and the killers shall be brought to book," Morgan said.

"What are you even saying Prince Morgan? Your father was murdered mercilessly and all you could think of is when to bury him!" The King of Puli, the third kingdom under Ashland, said in an angry tone.

"Must I tear my chest and bring out my heart and present it to you all before you know I am boiling with rage to avenge the killers of my father, your Emperor? Whoever the killers are will be expecting a hunting search for them, but we will not do that. We will bury my father first and once that is done and I am crowned the new Emperor of Ashland, the killers of my father shall be brought to justice and you all don't have the right to question my decision." Morgan told them.

"As the Empress of this great empire, I support my son in his decision. Let us bury the dead before seeking revenge. In our enemy's eyes, we are headless so what my son said is right. We are crowning him immediately after the burial."

"I have no argument in whenever you want to find who killed the old Emperor, but who said you are going to be crown the new Emperor of Ashland?" The King of Altamon asked. "As far as I am concerned, you are a young child and the throne isn't meant to be in your hands, the throne is meant to be with the one who is a mentalist and as far as we all know in Ashland and other kingdoms, neither you nor your brother has the gift for that. And as traditional demands, if the Royal lineage of the Emperor doesn't have a gifted child, then his throne should be passed down to another Royal family and the gods may favour the new Emperor and Empress. Which leaves the throne for us and my fellow Kings have agreed I step in to rule Ashland, isn't that your agreement, brothers?" he added and got short nods from the other two Kings sitting besides him.

"Not on my watch, I am still the Empress of this great empire and if you speak more of this rubbish, I will have all your heads in a platter of gold." Empress Rose threatened.

"Hey don't you dare talk to my sister in such rude manners, watch your tone or I shall be forced to use my sword on you." Warlord Marcus warned.

"Hey this is not the time to be exchanging words with your soon to be Emperor, Marcus, know how you talk to us or else, the consequences will be very grave." king Puli told Warlord Marcus.

"Your threats would have mean something to us or even scared us if any of your son's is gifted so it means nothing to us," the King of Altamon said standing up to his feet staring at Empress Rose and Prince Morgan. The other two king followed suit. "And before you carry on with your useless threat just know this your highness and my Prince. Your son can wedge a sword, so can I and my son's. He has Royal blood running through his veins so do I and my children. You have just two sons and I have more than that, think what you will be against." he added and left the meeting room in a prideful stride.

"Fix the date of the burial and inform us, after the burial, you will only have the title of 'Queen' and nothing else. You will be leaving the palace for the new Emperor and his family unless you want to be one of his concubines," the King of Gala said and then laughed at his own words, leaving the room with the King of Puli with pride.
