❤️ A Man Called Storm (Part 31) ❤️
"You....." Rumi mutters quietly. "You ought to be dead." she whispers the words to herself, moving backwards a little. Her eyes did not believe what she was seeing. This is Juno. The one who was supposed to be dead and forgotten years ago.
"What did you say now?" Storm asks, not catching what Rumi had said as he held her shoulder, making her halt in her movement. He was expecting such a reaction from Rumi and wasn't surprised to see her shock look, hell he was shocked to his marrow when he saw her.
"This is not Juno, this can't be her," Rumi said. "No way."
'I killed you with my hands so how come you are standing in front of me... alive and fine' Rumi thought to herself as she forced herself to calm down.
"You are correct, I am not Juno and that is what I have been trying to tell you, two fools and the older ugly one that left here a few minutes ago. My name is Kira and not Juno please."
Storm hardened his gaze at Kira who was staring at Rumi.
Staring at that pretty face before her an image of a little girl who looks so much like the girl in front of her flashes before her eyes. She blinked the image away and pressed her lips together to stop herself from saying. 'You look so familiar, have we met before?'
With the way they were staring at her, it looked as if she reminded them of someone they both knew. Hope whoever it is was a Princess.
"Come on, let's go," he said to Rumi, bringing Kira out of her thoughts.
"Leaving so soon?" Kira said with a smirk. "I guess I wasn't entertaining enough."
Without exchanging words with her, Storm dragged Rumi out of there.
"Your food that I brought for y..." she began to say pointing at the fallen box on the ground.
"Leave it I will send a servant to come and throw it away besides I am not hungry," Storm grunted out not knowing how badly his hurtful words had hurt Rumi. Kira giggled at what Storm said.
"I guess you are not entertaining either. The way to a man's heart is not by food but by shedding of his blood when you fight him, that's when you win over him." Kira joked as they left the prison. Once they were gone, she turned her serious face to Kando. "What is happening? Why are they all calling me some girl name? And why do they seem surprised when they see me?" she demanded. From seeing strange images to strange people calling her by another name.
"And what made you think I have the answer to that question?" Kando asked.
"Because according to you and Dean I was picked and Dean took care of me," Kira said and when she saw the expressionless face of Kando she continued. "Okay, where did you and Dean pick me up from?"
"Simple, Kudarma."
"If I was born and dumped in Kudarma then who is this Juno of a girl that looks like me?" she asked, expecting no answer from Kando.
"Look Kira, when we get home you can ask our Emperor all your questions and doubts when you are in bed with him but for me, I am a very hard wall, you can't get anything from me."
"You know you could have kept quiet instead of replying."
"My mouth not yours Kira," Kando said and looked at the direction where Storm and Rumi had gone. "Look Kira, I need to find a way to fight with this new guy coming in here as if he kept his hidden treasures here. I wasn't expecting a third person." he added. "I need to find a way to provoke him to fight me so that I can test his strength."
"That won't be a problem. I can do that for you if you follow my plan," Kira said with a coy smile.
"What plan?"
"I can't tell you my plan Kando. We will be brought out for questioning so do allow me to speak. Just know that when I wink at you, it's game on."
"Whatever plan you are thinking of shouldn't reveal our true intention."
"Oh it does," Kira mumbled.
**************
"Do you know how long it took me to prepare your food for you? And now you are telling me to leave it. You haven't even tasted it." Rumi pout. Even though her heart was racing about the sudden appearance of Juno, she couldn't help but ask Storm. She is going to deal with Juno but for now let her focus on Storm. "You just made me a laughing stock in there." she added. By now they were walking side by side in the large compound.
"Rumi that wasn't why I brought you there," Storm said, stopping in his stride which prompted Rumi to stop also. "I brought you there to look at the face of the girl who you told me died years ago. Why would you lie to me? That is Juno tight there in flesh and blood."
"Storm, I am telling the truth. Juno truly died years ago. She was buried and you can see what her death caused her father. It cost him his position, everything. That is not Juno, believe me " Rumi whimpered.
"Then who is she? Who is that girl with Juno face behind the fuc.king bar?" he roared out in anger. "You are playing with me."
"I am not playing with you Storm. Juno is dead and she is buried. You can ask your stepmother if you think I am lying," Rumi said and gasped a little. "I can't believe you are doubting me Storm.... it's me Rumi."
"I am going to ask Rose and if I discover you are lying Rumi...." he left his remaining words hanging in a threat and he left her to find Empress Rose.
Fuming in anger, Rumi turned and went back to the prison on the pretence of picking her food box. The three guards outside the prison yard allowed her in since they had seen her with Storm.
Kira was surprised to see Rumi in the prison, staring at her.
"What?"
"Who are you, why are you here, what's your aim.....I am going to find out very soon and when I do, you will be sorry for coming back," Rumi said, earning a smile from Kira. She picks up her box and returns her gaze to Kira's taunting eyes. "Whatever games it is you are playing Juno, I am one step ahead of you."
