A Man Called Storm (Part 14)
Rumi saw the look Gwen was giving her and knew her eyes were changing. She willed herself some control and succeeded. Closing her eyes briefly she exhaled deeply and when she opened her eyes, she sent a smile in Storm's way.
"Hi Storm, I came to see you," she said to him.
"What for?" Gwen asked, speaking for Storm.
"I wasn't asking you or speaking to you, I was talking to Storm and last time I checked, your name is not Storm." Rumi replied rudely to her.
"Gwen, stop it," Storm said and untangled himself from her hold, getting up from his bed and went to meet Rumi, crossing his arms across his chest. "You've seen me now Rumi, you can go."
"No," the sharp look from Storm made her quickly add. "I mean, I came to see if you were not hurt. I heard what happened and I want you to know even if they don't believe you I believe you." Gwen snort loudly at that statement.
"Thank you Rumi, I will keep that in mind, if that is all, you can leave now I am busy."
'Busy? Did he just say busy? Busy with Gwen she guesses. Did he see her love for him in her eyes? Is he that blind that he didn't see her worried look. Busy under her foot.'
Rumi thought and swallowed hard. "Is that all you are going to say to me? I left what I was doing and came here to see you and you are already asking me to leave? I did you no wrong Storm, it was Juno who had offended you and not me so I don't see any reason why you are giving me this cold shoulder."
Storm blinked thrice.
"This is not about Juno so stop bringing that stupid dead decayed body to our discussion. You are here to see me and you have seen me, so what more do you want again? I said thank you to you or do you want me to lick your feet for you?"
Now it was Rumi's turn to blink her eyes. Yesterday Storm wasn't this rude to her so what changed?
As if reading her mind, Storm heaved out a quiet sigh. "Look Rumi, I wasn't angry yesterday and I am right now so if you are here to see me, I am fine and good. You can leave."
"Okay, I will come back to check on you later in the day. I will bring you food,"
"Do not bother your bones, he won't eat it." Gwen told her. "He would have eaten the food I prepared for him." she teased Rumi further.
'Oh how she wished to have her hands around this girl's neck and strangle her to death.'
Rumi thought and chuckled inwardly. Gwen is messing with her, this new girl that is always clinging to her property doesn't know what she is up against. She's going to deal with her, her case is just small.
"Take care Storm, I will be coming with the food I prepare," Rumi said pretending not to hear Gwen and then left his room.
"Are you sure you didn't marry her before you came to meet my father?" Gwen asked with a smile as soon Rumi shut the door behind her. "She is acting as if she's your wife."
"Not a word Gwen," Storm said in a warning tone. "She is the least of my problems," he added.
"But seriously Storm, it is just you and me here, tell me did you make an oath to her or did you marry her secretly against the wish of her dead sister? She is so clingy and there is something off about her, I can't point my finger at it but you have to be very careful of your clinging wife," Gwen said and when she saw Storm's white eye start to glow she raised her two hands up in surrender.  "I was just messing up with you Storm,"
"I said not a word," Storm growled out the words in anger. "I am thinking here. There is someone out there who wants me dead. I just arrived yesterday and they sent their assassin's to test me and I left one alive and now he is dead." he added softly, no longer angry.
"Don't worry Storm, we will get to the root of this," Gwen said and smack her palms together. "I can't wait to get into action soon. But I must say, your half siblings don't like you, nor their mother."
"I know but my skin is too tough and rough against their hate towards me. I am here because of the promise I made to my father and nothing more and now that Juno is dead, there is no one left to feed my anger on."

Emera House:
Rumi returned back home angrier than ever.
She has just been insulted by that bit.ch of a girl and she is going to deal with her but first she has to know who wanted to hurt her Storm.
She passed Emera's room and paused to peep inside his room. She saw him sleeping on the cold floor. She nodded her head and left for her room. Shutting and locking the door behind her, she sat down on the ground, crossing her legs in front of her, an easy pose, and she closed her eyes in concentration. Soon everything fades away. The ground she was sitting on opened and she sank slowly. Once she was gone, the ground closed and the room became empty.
She opened her eyes and smiled when she saw herself in a dark room. Her eyes were already used to the darkness around her.
A dry weak chuckle sounded in the empty room and the sounds of chains rattling filled the room. At the same time the candles surrounding the room begin to lighten up magically by itself, consuming the darkness in the room.
"You remember me after so many years?" A hoarse voice which belongs to a female was heard and followed by a dry cough which stopped after a few minutes. The candle lightened up the woman that spoke. Her body was dry and her bones were visible, in fact if not for the raising off her chest, she could be mistaken as a skeleton. Her shoulder length hair was dry and chains surrounded her, coiling around her like a snake. "I taught you everything Rumiana and yet this is what you use in repaying me back, chaining me and putting me in total darkness, how could you?"
"All these long talks won't make me free you Sarah," Rumi said. "I am here for an important thing and you are going to help me out," she waited for a few seconds before muttering "Mother."
