Chapter 11
Every day after that day when I was dreaming of him has gotten worse. I was even afraid to close my eyes because what I see is no longer darkness but rather him.
I feel like his fingers has a curse. It all began there.
I was so terrified of my dream that it would haunt me even when I was asleep or resting. I wasn't having any more difficulty breathing, intense pain, or howling in agony. I don’t know if I should be glad that.
Jette Aime, you must not!
It's as if I couldn't go somewhere without doing what bothered me. Every time I stop and disregard it, it burns me much more. If I didn't touch him, I'd be completely engulfed in flames.
Thursday night, I dream of him giving me flowers to school, and Friday night, I dream of him dancing with me in the living room with a fire in the hearth. Sunday night, like yesterday evening, I dreamed of kissing him and was terrified of how far it might lead me.
Annoying! Didn’t even go through the admiration stage, suddenly jumped into desire…lust.
And so, on Monday morning, I'm going to undertake an experiment. Experiment with where this might lead me.
I saw him in the sink. The faucet is turned on, and I'm not sure what he's doing here. He moved his arms as if he was washing something. The water that was flashing is loud enough in the kitchen.
With a nervous and fast beating heart, I went to him closer. My footsteps were so quiet that I couldn't even hear them . I was like a ghost walking in the air. Inches away, my hands were shaking slowly raising to…touch his back. I bit my lip, and my hands were shaking.
You just have to touch him.
He turned off the faucet, and I was so shock. I freaked out and panic that my eyes widened to what I did.
I hit his back. I bit my finger, and stuttered, “T-there’s…m-mosquito.” I lied.
Kairus was hella confused that his frowning and trying to look at his back. I quickly turned my head away and went to the fridge. “I-I’m sorry. I thought it was a mosquito but it just a dirt.” I said, and I closed my eyes inside of the fridge.
I sighed. That was so near! So close!
“This will be the last week of November, and Christmas is coming. Do you want the house to have decoration or Christmas tree?” Kairus asked. I closed the fridge. I was holding the cold water, and he was looking at it.
“It’s good.” I replied with a smile. “My brother and I used to decorate the house. By the way, can I go out this Saturday? I know it’s still Monday, and yet I’m asking about Saturday, but yeah, I’m going out.”
I went to the chair, and sit. He looked at me for a moment, like he was remembering something.
“Andrew wanted me to watch on you. And, can you move that date? I think I have a meeting on Saturday.”
“I’m fine. I’m not going faraway either. I will go with my best friends. You don’t have to worry because I’m just staying in their compound. I will inform my brother about this too.”
He went back to the stove. Kairus, the billionaire is my cook.
I texted my brother about Saturday night. The boys are having a basketball league outside the compound. They are invited to play. I will come with them and I think Marie will come as well
My phone vibrated and I quickly opened. My smile turned bigger to see that it was my brother. I caught Kairus looking at me.
"It was my brother," I explained. I feel compelled to explain since he was staring at me and I was smiling.
“I’m sorry, baby, I did no text your even call you. I just opened my social media. Dennis went to your school?” Andrew texted.
I grimaced but nodded, as I remembered. It was the time when Kairus brought lunch and went famous on social media once more. They shared a photo of us and no one questioned it because they are aware of our relationship.
While composing my message, I whistled. "Andrew, regarding the basket league. I'll still go there. I informed you about it not to solicit approval, but only to inform you, only.”
Every year, we were present in the league. The boys won, and the other boys in town want to play with them again. Basketball is the most trhilling and challenging sport for me.
Andrew texted back that fast.
"I keep reminding you that their environment is not conducive to your health. These celebrations are crowded and messy. I don't want to risk you. You can go in Noel’s compound but please don’t go wander outside. It’s dangerous.”
I sighed. I'm going to watch basketball and nothing else. It went well last year, and after they finished playing, they simply accepted lunch with one of the players, and then we all went home, after that.
I thought he would still disagrre but I smile so happily, reading his text.
“Fine. Just bring KD with you.”
I scowled.
“Kd? Who’s that?” I responded.
"Kd" stands for Kairus Dennis. I have to leave now. I want to enjoy the honeymoon first cause for sure once I’ll go back there, I need to work hard again and again,"
I didn’t texted him again. Kairus went to the table and set the food down. I stared at him, and his sweat were dropping on his forehead.
My heart melt staring at him me.He looks so good and so charming, wearing my pink apron. My brother despises pink but he doesn’t have a coice because pink is the colofr of the year. This year is blue, and next year, I’m going to change another color.
He sits across from me. He sits across from me."Shall we share the housework? " I make an offer to him.
.
“for what?” He asked dumbly. Ofcourse, he should be sitting in the chair and the coffe is in the table, yet he’s the one serving me.
"You're usually the one who cooks and even wash the dishes. I'm the girl here, and I should be doing the chores."
He looked at me, shrugged his shoulder, and went closer, calmly distributing the plates to me. "It's fine. I'm used to cooking and doing chores in my condo, and I want to cook our food to compensate since I often gets home late." He smiled. He smiled. It was the first time I saw him smile. "Just devote yourself to your studies."
That is something we are used to every morning. He'll cook, and I'll wash the dishes. He also arrives home late, and sometimes quite late that I can't stop closing my eyes waiting for him to come home.
Today is a Friday night. Tomorrow will be the basketball league. I watched the sunset that appeared above our school. We were having a film project. It’s fine to go home late since Kairus is always late h will never know since I already talked about his driver, privately. I smirked. I used my actress skill.
My phone beeped. It was a message from Marie.
“Hundred sure. Im going.” She texted. It made me smile. She was unsure about it since she has something to do with he family. I’m glad that she’s going there. It would be awkard for me to sit there alone.
“Wow. See you tomorrow!”
The film finished, and Toni was waiting outside the car. He smiled the moment he saw me.
"Good evening, Maam," he said. I nodded and smiled.
“Is Kairus still in his office?” I aksed when we were already inside the car.
“He's already at home ma'am. “
That's quite unusual. It's the first time I've heard that he's already in the house before I get there.
The car was so smooth , and we arrived home safe.
I was prepared to get going straight but I heard a splash of water. I stopped.
He’s swimming?
"You came home early," I remarked as I saw him swimming. and I guess he heard me because he gave me a short glance. Despite the fact that he is already wet, and his face is wet from the water, his beauty has not changed, and his face is still handsome, ever.
