Chapter 56
We went back to his room. My cheek heated quickly as I shifted my gaze to the bed. The crazy thing we did just flashed to me.
The touch…kisses…moan…us.
My gaze gradually returned to the bed, where the sheet had been changed. I left it with crumpled sheets, and when I returned, it was already new and spotless.
It has blood on it... Where is the white sheet?
When I looked at Kairus, he smiled. "I cleaned and washed our sheet before finding you…”
I clean and wash…
He took care of it.
He already knows everything. Even before that, he was the one who cooked, while I only swept...occasionally.
Thinking about how his girlfriend first seen it. She was so lucky to have witnessed everything alongside him. Will Kairus and I would happened if she is still alive? Will he also come across me and fall for me? I bet not. He’s the type of the guy who never leaves you.
“What’s wrong?” I heard his soft, anxious voice. His gaze was drawn to my eyes as he recognized something in them. He approached me and took my hand in his. "What's the matter, baby?”
I shook my head, but he had already embraced me.
"I slept hugging you, and it wasn't even enough," he said calmly, "I want your hugs and kisses."
Me, too. I've been wanting as well. I’m curious if our bodies touches, shall I become stronger or weaker? I can now answer. When you're around, I'm so strong, and when you touch me, I'm so weak.
I sighed gently. The power of touch. Bow down to the touch that can heal and change anguish into warmth.
This is the one and only time I'm going to follow my heart. This is the first time I've gotten something that wasn't even in my dreams. There's nothing wrong with choosing yourself and what makes you happy. I tried to console myself by saying this.
My lips arched into a smile as I returned his hug.
"The last time I held you was when you were eighteenth...time flies so fast," he murmured as he began swinging me. I can hold him like this without worrying about our ages. I grow while he does not. He still looks to be much younger.
I chuckled softly. “You didn’t age,” I voiced it out, and pouted.
He stopped after making another swing. He lifted my hand. I spin around while laughing so pleasantly.
He said, his voice trembling, "I don't want to grow, too. I don't want to get old." He whispered so scared. "I don't want to...""
I chuckled. I think all the girls around him didn't mind at all. Everyone likes older men. Why?" I asked, "Women don't even care if you're older than them."" I said matter of truth.
I laughed. I believe none of the girls in his immediate vicinity cared. Older males are admired by all. They liked him more than he could imagine.
"Why? Women don't even care if you're older than them, " I questioned, bluntly.
He shook his head. " I don't care about them. I'm worried if you don't like the older...me.""
I softly laughed and gave him a firm hug in response. He should be more worried about whether or not I love him or whether he could have a stand on my heart.
Crazy. He is more even worried about my opinion.
"Not bad,"I said with a shoulder shrug. In any case, you're not that old." I moved closer and gently whispering into his ears, "You can still do outstanding movements."
When he froze, I burst out laughing.
He muttered gently, "Hmmm...so playful,"
He smiled loving all my soft laughter.
"What? I'm being honest with you! When his fingers reached my waist, I froze, grinning, and pointed out, "I think your body got even- ".
Before I could get away, he grinned and began tickling me.
"D-don't! Kairus Dennis Salvador! Stop it now! He kept tickling me. He didn't stop and is still doing so. "Kai!" I yelled, and he quickly smiled as he caught me in between his arms.
Our laughter echoed around the room. I'm still in his arms, and he hasn't let go. We came to a halt when we were already exhausted. I leaned against him and let him embrace me. I lose my strength because I know he has me in his grip
I've never been so happy..." Kairus said into my ears. I am as well. I'd never laughed so hard before.
"Hm...what about your girlfriend?" I asked. This is the first time we've discussed her. She is a part of Kairus' life, and I wanted to get to know her as well. I know I can't replace her, and I have no intention of making Kairus forget about her either.
She made him happy, and even loved him. She was possibly present during Kairus' lowest phase, and I was not. I can't even compete with that.
She is both the past and its start. She is not only from the past, but also a part of who Kairus is today. They experienced both anguish and joy. I think, so far, only heartaches are what we've received from each other.
"She left, and my life came apart; I couldn't help myself, but I stepped out to your door, my heart had died so many times..." He continued, and my eyes flashed back to how I was dying at the moment..
Kairus gently brush hiss hand around my arms. The topic is getting heavier.
He continued, telling all his words, "I see pain and fear in your eyes, and it was the scariest and most painful thing I ever did," he said. My world is collapsing around me, and I can't stop thinking about you. But all I know is that I can no longer rescue myself; all I know is that I will never fall in love again; if you leave me, I'll try a thousand times, and if I fail, I'll die wholly to you ...""
We both became silent. I never had feelings for anyone. Maybe he knows, maybe he doesn't. He is extremely fortunate that my heart found him so early, and I have never been broken before by someone else. I can find a lover, but I can't find the happiness that only Kairus can provide.
He gave an excruciating smile. "What I regret the most is leaving you and not being able to reach you." "Thank you," Kairus said sincerely. "Thank you for entrusting your every first to me." And...I swear to offer you every inch of myself."
I smiled happily but my eyes moved down to his hand when I felt the little brightly shining ring. It was the second diamon I've ever had. First was his tear, and now his, diamond ring.
""I want to pursue you. You don't have to worry. I'm not asking for your answer. "He whispered, brushing my ring. "This...is my gift, and I'll wait....cause I'm ready....I will wait until you're ready ...to open your heart to me.""
Even I am not ready today but its different cuase he is the one asking it. I'm a risk taker for today but...will be this right?
I nodded and brushed the ring with my tall thin point finger. "This is beautiful...I want to accept it but...let our siblings fix their issues first...." I said to him. I dont kmow what my brother doing or running through his head right at this moment.
Kairus was about to keep the ring but I quickly held his palm and slowly guiding it to open.
"I'll keep this ..." I whispered to him.
