Chapter 15

We left the court and it was so peaceful, again. We went inside the chapel to pray and after that we went to their little amusement park. There are rides that have not yet opened, such as the Ferris wheel, octopus, roller coaster, and many others. I wanted to go on such rides, but my health wouldn't allow me.

In the gaming booth, Marie and I played cards, color games, and coin tossing.

"We don't even win anything," Marie grumbled. I laughed.

"It's not our luck," I said quietly. Marie noticed my stares. Yes, I was watching those extreme thrilled rides. “Do you want to go on those rides?” She asked.

When we gazed up at the Ferris wheel, I nodded. "It's risky for me," I said quietly.

She nodded. I didn't have as much riding experience. "Noel doesn't like things like that," she observed, and I laughed quietly.

"He's terrified," I said calmly. "He doesn't want you to witness him pee in his pants.”

Marie and I made the decision to leave the perya. We walked down the street, admiring the stores that sell a wide variety of toys for children.

“The toys are so beautiful and not pricey at all.” Marie whispered.

"Buy them all. "You can make use of this future," I said, and smiled. There are firearms, trucks, Barbie, culinary supplies, and other items.

"We have four years until we can buy this. I'm excited. I'm looking forward to having him permanently in our home."

I cracked a smile. At least I don't have to be worried about Noel. He got a girlfriend who was kind, sweet, good, studious, and loving.

"I'm happy that you see a future with him. His heart is already in great shape. "I guess I don't have to worry." Marie gave me a glance. We didn't realize we were already in the last store.

“Don’t go away.” She begged. “I think Noel couldn’t survive agony if you will leave him.”

I smiled. That’s I can’t promised.

I looked around, and people were walking down to the chapel.

"I believe this is the last store," I said quietly. Marie cast her gaze around, and she pointed not far from her.

“Look, there’s a dirty ice-cream!” She exclaimed happily.

“Then’ let’s buy before going back to the court.”

It just took us a minute to get there. We purchased a large cone, and after that we went first to the waiting shed to stay and to eat our ice-cream while hiding the sun.

“People are walking down.” Marie remarked. They were either going to the chapel, the amusement park, or the shops park beside the road.

The ice-cream vendor had even left, leaving us as the only ones on the road. Marie stood up after a few moments.

“Let’s go back. I feel strange that we left us alone here.” She uttered seriously, and my heart raced so nervously the way she said. I came to a halt, and she noticed. I'm not afraid, but I feel it. It was like watching a movie where there are no people in the city.

“Hey, are you okay? You look pale.” She said, nervously. I smile and relax a bit.

Inhale. Exhale.

"I'm fine," I said, smiling. She isn't convinced. I take a deep breath and actually smile. "I'm fine now."

She caressed my back and smiled. "I should be more careful with my words."

We began walking down. We won't get lost because we were only walking straight from the court we left and then. We both came to a halt as someone came to a halt in front of us.

It’s a big guy with a lot of tattoos and his hair is long. I stared at him. He seems familiar….

“You know him?” Marie asked and I slowly shook my head.

“Aime, it’s me, Chris.” He said, and my heart throbbed scared. He’s the creepy guy and the aggressive player in court. I didn't recognize him right away. He used to be thin and slender but now he has a big body and he thought getting a tattoo would make his body look better but he is not getting any worse than before.

“Run, Marie.” I whispered but Marie shook her head. Chris moved closer, and we both moved backward.

"You can't get away from me, Aime.”I prepared for this for a long, long time," he said quietly, as if he was high.

“Run!” I yelled, and Marie thought we'd run together. She came to a halt when she noticed I wasn't following her. Chris wrapped his arms around me, and I looked like a crumpled sack to him.

Marie sobbed. I motioned for her to run, but she shook her head.

“I…I w-will never fucking leave you.”

"Go...call for help," I said, my heart pounding. I was striving to relax and shaking my body in an attempt to fall, but Chris held me so tightly that it ached.

Chris shifted his gaze alongside him. "What are you looking at?!?" Grab the other girl! " He yelled. There are four men in all. They were terrified as they watched me.

I'm beginning to feel out of breath. The men were trickling out to capture Marie, so I attempted to look at her even though my heart was hurting and I could feel the cold and the whirling of my world. "Run, Marie! They will take you!"

Chris hauled me into the narrow street at the corner.

"I've been dreaming of holding you," he mumbled, and it was the creepiest thing anyone had ever said. I looked at myself and realized I was too pale and slender around him.

I close my eyes and try to relax my heart. Inhale. Exhale. Don't crumble so easily. Don’t break. Don’t put your heart at risk.

"C-Chris...please, I beg you.”I'm...I'm sick."

He turned his head to scent me. My entire body trembles.

"D-don't," I sobbed.

"No, Aime, I'm also sick. “I’m sick of you. You were fucking my mind. I can’t believe that finally you’re here.”

I don’t know where he dragged me anymore. My tears are no place. It keeps on crying.

I raise my hand and I saw how pale it is. It is more than pale. The color of my lunula in my nail is the same color of my body. With a tremble and shaking hand, for the moment I see hope in in my fingers. It has a long finger nails.

I closed my eyes and ready to fall. I dig my nail to his back tightly. I digged my finger like I was digging my heart too tight because of it’s pain.

I heard him groan in pain. I fell. There are many pains in my body and I don't know which one hurts the most, the falling or the tightness in my heart. He fell and I kicked his head, and slowly ran away holding my heart so tight.

I'm already in the forest, and I looked behind. He was running and shouting.

"Go, run Aime! I've been planning for this a year! You can get away but I'll still get you. Go ahead, just run!’
I think I can’t make it. My body is giving me up. I can’t endure the pain. My heart is breaking me apart, and I was gasping for air.

I fell, and kneel in the grass. I could see hope when I see road from a far.

I crawl and crawl.

“I can see you clearly!” He yelled, and laugh like a devil. I don’t want anyone to touch me. I’m not going to die here. I rather bed die because of my failing heart than die with his hands.

I stood up but my body froze and someone hold my shoulder.

“Still got you. Let’s go home, my wife.” He whispered. I shook my head.

“N-no…” I begged.

“Yes…” He uttered and he laughed. His laughed echoed around the forest.

He place his arms on my waist and tried to drag me but I hold my breath and froze in my place.

I wanted to have a bomb. I wish I have the bomb so that I will kill him with me. I don’t know what’s gotten in him like this.

I don’t know how fucking high he is. I slowly closed my eyes.

“Someone is waking. I think that’s the driver I rented.”

I opened my eyes hoping to see another guy, and the illusion granted me.

It’s a tall guy, light brown skin, dark and so dark aura, walking. It was Kairus.

He’s going to be the last guy I’ve seen before dying.

“Why...not he's the driver!" He cursed, dragging me along with him. “Shit! " He swore.

My eyes weren't playing tricks on me since Richard, Noel, David, and Easton were standing behind him, each clutching a metal pipe.

“Fuck you!” Chris shouted.

"Of course, I'll screw your brain," Kairus growled, his eyes darkened with rage, his jaw clinched, and his fist clenched.

Chris shoved me hard, and Kairus caught up.
