Chapter 57

That night, I spoke with my brother. He was initially frustrated. He couldn't even leave the apartment. Many reporters waited outside for him and me, and some even went to my manager or bestfriends at work.

My brother made a statement that if they continue to invade his privacy, or either disturb those people closest to me, they will never hear anything from me, anymore. He warned all the reporters that, if they would stop forcing us or keep on coming back, then they would never hear from me again, anymore.

My brother also said that my fans were equally upset about the reporters' attempts to intrude on our private. He also promised that I will return in a week and that all reporters are welcome. They should await his phone call.

"By Monday, you'll be back here..."

After my brother said that, my gaze was drawn to Kairus, who smiled as he looked at him, and I was frightened about how he might react. He stared at me with complete support.

""Baby...." my brother said quietly, and I returned his gaze.

I cracked a smile. "Yes?" I said.

My eyes went to his neck, and I saw the shining wedding ring he kept. I wanted to ask about Kelsey, but I couldn't because Kairus is just around....inches away from me.

"How's your stay there?" he inquired, and I became silent. As I glanced at his dazzling aura, I blinked several times. Are you enjoying?""

I smiled at him. I can't lie but sometimes a lie can save a life.

I gave him a kind grin. "Yes, the island is wonderful, but...I wanted to go home as well, and I can't just let Hayes feed something that isn't real," I told him honestly."

"Now that you see his true identity, which I never failed to notice," he nodded and sighed. He gazed at you as if he was planning something horrible. I'd like you to stop talking to him."

I groaned and added, "I can't do that...yet." "I'd like to talk with him one last time..."

My brother looked at me, not happy with my decision. Even though he doesn't agree, I'm still going to. I know that he dont understand this, and I don't either.

"How about Kairus?"" He asked if it made me frown." I looked at Kairus, who was only an inch away from me and out of sight of my brother. I don't want my brother to see him with me, and I know Kairus is aware of this, so he distances himself but not too far.

"What about him?" I inquired calmly, despite the fact that my hands were beginning to tremble.

"He's with you; I'm just wondering if he treats you right there," he said, clearly stressed. "You're still two in laws in the eyes of the law," he said, smiling, "just tell me if he didn't treat you right.""

I nodded, and thinking that once you find out what happened between us, you'd definitely sue him.

We changed our topic. I asked about mum and dad, and they are already in Hope's province, but my brother said they would transfer them somewhere this afternoon; we will celebrate Hope's mother's birthday, but I don't think we can do so near Hayes', who is nearby.

Bella took Hayes, and and I had no idea where or when the two met. And....Ron, I haven't reached Ron yet, but I'm sure he's phoning me. I don't have my phone yet, but I'll call them one by one when I get back.

The call lasted three hours. The room became quiet once more. When I looked at him, he was sti staring back at me. I cracked a smile.

""You okay?" I inquired. He didn't respond. He just kept silent, but I can see how he supported me, yet the way he froze, I know something is amiss. He simply cannot say it.

I moved in closer to him. "Hm...what's wrong?"

He slowly stretched his hands. I approached him and sat on his lap.I . I didn't know when I started caring about his feelings.

"What's wrong?" I questioned again, and all he did was shake his head. Something isn't quite right. I know he's bothered by something.

""No," I said back, hardly. "I have a bad feeling that something is wrong."

He chuckled, Soflty. He softly presses his chin into my chest. His fingers brush up on my tummy...

" I'm happy...and sad....I feel like..." He paused, unable to continue. "I'm afraid you'll forget me..." he murmured as he tightened his grip on me.

When I went silent, he sighed hard.

"Tsk! Just forget it. It's just my taught. Your safety and your peace of mind are more important." "

What if I never contact him again? What if I never see him again? Of course, you can't entirely erase him from your mind, soul, and body.

"Yeah..." I second the motion. "But what if I don't contact you?"I asked him."

"My heart would be torn into many, many pieces, but....like I said, I'll be behind you, and I'll find ways for you to need me too," he replied quietly.

I smiled so calmly. My hands moved to his hair, gently caressing him.

"Let's make this week the most treasured moment," I said quietly. We can make as many promises as we want, but such promises are only half-fulfilled.

We did, indeed, take our time. We just have 5 days until Monday. It would be five days before I could return to my normal life. I'm not worried about my problem, but rather about the people I loved and my innocent family who have been affected by it. .

If I distance myself from myself, I might be able to claim that there is misunderstanding on my part. They don't deserve to hear my answer, but it's all about me, and they were already circulating lies to inflame my situation.

I didn't go back to my room any longer. I shared a room with Kairus. It's a large queen-size bed, and I could just about squeeze in there with him.

Nothing happened on the first night. We just fell asleep clutching each other. I fell asleep on his arms. We were both comfortable with each other's warmth. We don't even want to go out, anymore. Too lazy to move away from each other.

k
Following that, we headed out to surf. We spent so much time at the beach. The more Kairus tanned, the more red I became. I'm pleased there aren't any people around. We were so happy with each other that we didn't bother if someone watched us.

We stayed in the rooml on the third day, in the morning. While I waited for Kairus, he prepared dinner. We kissed and made love often that night.

We made love the next day and the day after that. The last day was perhaps the most memorable for us since we just stayed in the room, laying and starring at each other. In the bed, we sing, dance, play, and laugh. It was the last few hours, and we didn't want to waste any of them.

I hold his heart and stop him. He kissed me once more. In between kisses, I smiled and chuckled.

I reminded him, "We are already here." "My brother might see you..." I speculated. We're on the roof. I haven't texted my brother that I'm already a few meters away from him.

He smiled and moved away. "I'll keep chasing you," he stated abruptly. "

I gazed at him, thinking: "You gave him to yourself, Aime, what would you need to accept him? what took so long to acknowledge him?

My brother never knew about this," I murmured, biting my lip and nodding.

"I understand," he said. "I'll let you decide; just know that I'm not the stumbling block; I'll let you do whatever you want."

When I heard the door open, I moved away from him.

"Thank you...." I whispered. He hold my hand for a seconds. He looked behind, and quickly moved his attention back at me.

""I love you, no pressure," he added frantically.

With our little secret, I quietly laughed.

My little sister!" yelled my brother. I cleared my throat and turned to face him. My brother had a huge grin on his face.

"My princess!" He embraced me tightly.

I chuckled and hugged him back so tightly.

"What happened to your skin?" He asked worriedly."

I lightly and jokingly hit his back.

"What do you expect? "I'm on the island," I rolled my eyes.

He softly laughed, and pulled away from the hugs ."Anyway, welcome back!""
