Chapter 7
I hauled Noel with me as soon as we finished cooking. Noel is the committed and faithful one in our group. He's been dating Marie, her girlfriend, for four years now.
Yes, he’s so strong and devoted of his principles.
Noel and Marie met at our beloved St. Lucia Academy. Most of the time, love is found at school, which is why everyone should stop skipping school, but you did, my inner voice said.
Noel has been courting her for a year, and after a year, when we were in grade 8, Marie said yes to Noel.
So, basically, he knows something that those boys. I want to know his perspective. I'm curious because I was bothered by something else.
“Dude, easy. "Marie might have misinterpreted it," he joked as I dragged his arms.
Marie is thekindest soul whom never hated anyone nor never gets jealous. Trust me, Noel proved us that he’s really faithful. I pinched his arms.
“As if she would.” I said. “I've never seen her get upset with me or any of the women you've been with," I remarked as we pushed ourselves into the chair. My classmates are busy with their cooking show, and they are all in the kitchen room.
He simply shrugged his shoulders and winked. I looked at him seriously in the eyes. Should I talk about this to him? Later, I will tell the boys about it but I will ask them one by one.
His glance met mine, and his face shifted to serious like again worried about my thoughts.
Protective, ts!
“What’s wrong?” He asked worriedly. He couldn’t stop himself asking that every day. I flicked his forehead, and chuckled.
"Noel, there's nothing wrong," I assured him. "I'm curious."
He moved closer with a nod. "What do you mean? About what?”
"About you and Marie," I muttered, and his brow furrowed in confusion.
"Do you have amnesia? You knew everything about us from the beginning, the middle, and...now."
I lowered my gaze and locked my gaze on his hand in the armchair. I didn't feel anything when I dragged him, not even any reaction.
"How about? What about my hand? You're hooked on my hand. Are you interested in our boy thing? " He questioned, and my eyes widened. When he noticed my reaction, he laughed so loud.
I smacked his hand once more and rolled my eyes.
"Not that," I grumbled, irritated. I slowly lean back in my chair. Noel became solemn and drew closer to me.
I looked at him, annoyed. I glared at him. He slowly stopped laughing and place his hand to his heart.
“I’m sorry.” He apologized. “I can’t help it. You’re so cute every time you’re annoyed.”
"I know I'm beautiful," I smirked. It was his turned to turn a sour reaction. I chuckled. I should be straightforward right now and asked while the other boys were away.
“I’m curious.” I started, “ When I hold you…touch your arms…and hit you. What do you feel?”
He's back with his reaction. He scowled and stared at me as if I were a creature he would never understand for the rest of his life.
Noel..." I yelled angrily. "What do you feel-"
“Rough hands?” He replied. I gasped and quickly get up from leaning in the chair, and hit him thrice.
“I hate you! I’m asking a serious question! You’re so annoying!”
He chuckled and he caught my hand.
“Okay…sorry…again. Do you want to know what I think? " he asked, and I pouted while nodding slowly. " Is something wrong with your hand? " he asked once again. "I'm not feeling anything. Should I have?”
I shook my head violently. Gross!
What the fuck is he asking?
I cleared my throat and relaxed back in my armchair, my gaze drawn to the light in our classroom.
"I was wondering if you ever touched Marie anywhere...in the hand, arms, or just a finger. Do you feel…fire? " I asked strangely.
He went silent. I’m just curious.
"You want to look them in the eyes, but you can't," I continued. Once you release yourself, you'll be transformed into their eyes and be turned into rock. Like, your heart is painfully excited...like your hearts...feel something...burning..."
"Lust," he remarked abruptly. My gaze was drawn to him. He was glancing out the window and naively levitating.
I mumbled, “Huh?”
“You feel tension…you are tense. You feel fire…you can feel the heat. And it's as if you want to know but are scared. It’s forbidden.” He looked me in the eyes, and says, “Its lust, Aim.”
We both each other’s eyes so seriously and deeply. My eyes fell to its deeply.
Lust. What lust? Craving for someone?
We just break our eyes when we heard a footsteps running towards us. I glanced back and saw the boys coming towards us with a big smile, holding a bond paper.
“We got 92!” Dave shouted, and the boys cheered. My question was lost in the river when the boys started talking about the grade we just had.
I was smiling, nodding and laughing with them but deep inside of me was thinking about what Noel and I had talked about.
Next would be…Dave, the flirts of the group.
“I’m so thirsty. Should we buy cold drinks?” Easton asked.
“Stupid, did you forget that we are still grounded! Our parents didn’t give us allowance yet.” Dave said.
They won’t ask about me? I’m not even sure if I have lunch today.
“I should get us cold drinks.” Richard said, and our eyes moved directly to him.
"You are also grounded if you forgot," Easton reminded him.
Richard smirked. "It doesn't mean I don't have a sister,"
Easton put up his hand and bumped it against Richard's. "Your brain is for the highest honor, man," he continued, making us chuckle.
"All right, let's go to the junior's building!" David yelled.
Noel smirked and shook his head as he saw Easton and Richard go happily first.
I winked to Noel and he nodded and understood it so fast.
“Thanks.” I mouthed, and I grab Dave's arm swiftly before he can follow Easton.
"David..." I called out to him softly.
“Hmm…” He softly mumbled.
“What do you feel when I hold your arms?” I asked seriously, and his reaction mirrored the same reaction to Noel awhile ago.
“Hand. Why?” I wanted to pinch him but I laughed first, so I dismissed that thought.
I pouted and lean my head to his shoulder while we are walking.
I whispered, “I know that you loved girls-
“correct.” He butt in and I laughed.
“Clear like a crystal ball. What do you call this one, Dave like when I touched someone I feel something weird.” I said honestly.
He mumbled, “uh-uh, then?”
“I touched someone in the finger for seconds but I feel something weird…fire and nervous as I feel something so much.” I whispered so problematically.
I glanced at him, and he looked at me, like was tasting the words before he spit it out.
“It’s either he have a superpower or its lust.”
I stopped.
“If that person disturbs you a lot in a crazy situation then it’s attraction. Your attracted to that person that you would have hard time in sleeping like me…” He smirked. “Girls don’t let me sleep.”
I gazed at him sourly. He softly laughed and he pulled me towards him.
“What’s with the sour look? I thought you are preparing to be crazy, wild girl when you will turn 18?” He said, amusingly.
Sometimes I always regret telling my secrets, the truth to them.
“What food do you have this lunch? “ I shook my head. “Don’t worry. I packed two lunch boxes, one for me and one for you.” He sweetly whispered.
I smiled so happily to him. “Don’t worry about me. I will call my brother today, ask money and still eat the food you prepared for me.”
“Nice.” Dave replied. He slowly removed his hand to my shoulder as he saw that I was going to text my brother.
“Hello, handsome soon to be daddy. I know that you’re still in the bed moment but I can I get Kairus number? I forgot to ask his number. I forgot to get my allowance.”
Ofcourse it is a white lie. I don't want him to know that my allowance has been used up for just one day
I thought I was going to wait for hours but I jumped happily when he reply right away.
“Hi, baby girl. I’m sorry that your big brother can’t call to you. I hope that your happy and loving your not so strict and tight life right now. I love you.
Here’s Kelsey’s brother number by the way.”
I copy paste the number, and texted Kairus.
“Hi, it’s Aime. I got your number to my brother. I want to ask favor if you could bring me lunch. I mean, you can deliver it here to your driver. I've been eating the food in the canteen for so long that I'm craving something different. I'll pay you when I get home. I also left my wallet in home, eh.”
I gasped when he replied fast as well.
“okay.” He replied, shortly. Another message came. "Tell me what kind of food or restaurant you want, and I'll bring it to you in about fifteen minutes. Can you wait? I have to end this meeting…”
